MUCC, DespairsRay, and Girugamesh were the bands that introduced me into Japanese rock, but it took me maybe a year afterwards to actually fall in love with VK and appreciate it. Basically started going downhill from there. You all know how VK has THAT certain sound. Idk, it just really hooked me. But the GazettE was what did it for me. I was hooked instantly, loved anyone else I found and loved that VK sound. The music was certainly different and the makeup didn't really surprise me or anything. I just rolled with it??? It was (still is) super fun. I'm still in it/I love it because I've met so many of my good friends through the scene and honestly, everything I've done since becoming a fan most likely wouldn't have happened if I hadn't found VK. Or... maybe I'd be following American bands around the States rather than Japan lmao but still so different! Meeting awesome friends, traveling and gaining all sorts of experiences, and learning funny shit about bands and the members is why I loved it. Of course, I love the costume/makeup side of it too. I absolutely love the concert culture in Japan too. Regular j-rock/metal shows are fun and are just like any western live, but shit. While there are some downfalls to it, I fucking love VK lives lmao VK is ridiculous and fun. (what isn't great about loving men twice my age in makeup and throwing my money at them while I struggle how to pay the next trip outside of Tokyo for another live LOL)

It seems like Japan's current method is closing a bunch of shops on the weekends to tempt people to stay home lol i thought it was just the previous weekend but maybe all? Or depends on the place itself.

There are less people out than usual on weekends but people are still going about their business as usual. Trains are still crowded especially during rush hour and from 5pm-8pm. We are not prohibited from going out on the weekend. Police are not checking IDs and telling us to go home or whatever. Government continues to be useless as usual.

@Duwang where are you living?.. police at asakusa is checking not only id, but also cash cards, bags, etc, especially weekends... as they said they are checking at least 5 people per hour, may be more, but not less (for statistics or something)

Just limiting things on weekends certainly won't change anything. Now it's just spread to making weekdays more busy after work etc. Also, I'm hearing from people that we might find out soon whether or not JP finally issues a state of emergency. Dunno if they actually will though. As for ID stuff, maybe they're targeting the main tourist cities.

NICOLAS is going to hold another YouTube live! Usually it's them working in the studio or just low key backstage stuff chatting, but they already finished recording. So I think it's going to be an actual livestream live??? but I'm not sure. Judging by the bassist's own comment, it might be a live. They're still rehearsing and everything too so i'm hoping- 😭😭😭

I do fall into the range of Americans who have more than 1 credit card, but I don't have THAT many. I have a pretty good limit on both but I do NOT overspend and max out cards. I first got one when I started working as a teenager because I wanted to start building good credit since that's pretty important in America. Spend only what you can afford to pay back etc etcccc. It's useful for emergencies. please don't max out credit cards for bands yo lmao

hopefully overtime nicolas can begin selling CDs at more shops (right now it's only available at village vanguard in person) but im guessing it's hard for them right now since they're independent. when they were still under an actual label as gossip it was a lot easier to distribute their music 😧 if anyone can get their hands on it tho, their new album UMBRA is fucking amazing

I guess I should do an intro huh lol I'm Reida and I've been a fan of VK for awhile now. My #1 favorite band is the GazettE but I also follow RANDS and another band. I got into VK thanks to MUCC and D'espairsRay and have been going downhill ever since. I go to lives whenever possible and I make GazettE furi videos lmao I don't follow much new VK anymore. I just stick to 2-3 bands since a lot of newer bands (besides RANDS) don't really catch my interest anymore, plus, money. Idk what else to say. I've known about this place for a long time, but never joined until now so that I could offer a shopping service for overseas 蘭図 (RANDS) fans. I'm really only active on Twitter and Instagram now a days.... and not using my typical username lol
