There's definitely been some unreported drama between EVE and UNiTE (because of the Sana situation) and Takeru has unfollowed Yui on Twitter (while Yui still follows him). He still follows Lin and Sana tho, so perhaps he only has beef with Yui🤷‍♀️

Love everything about this. I've been listening to Gore and Ogyaa today and I really like Sin's voice. Can't wait for the whole thing and more.

That's a great idea for a thread in general! Visual kei fashion brands or brands ran by bandomen.

Even though I definitely agree this statement, I always get sad when I hear that vk stores are closing down because I think it's symptomatic of the current state of the vk scene. Brand-X was also one of the few stores that sold overseas, so I can imagine people being upset over this.
 
Let's hope that other (better) stores will keep on going strong...

Their first live will be at Ikebukuro EDGE on 2019.07.29. During that live, they will release their first single called 「モノローグ」(Monologue). (1500 yen)

Needless to say, I'd choose Takeru from CLACK inc., I think we'd spend the day at home watching movies and nerding out (he went to film school and he's a huge movie and anime nerd). I would also love to go to karaoke with him as I love singing (and he's a vocalist obviously so).
 
For something a bit out of the ordinary, I'd like to explore a haunted location with him cause we're both into this shit lol

"You're not a real fan unless you've listened to VK for x amount of years", or "unless you've listened to x amount of bands". I fucking hate that. How are they gonna listen to VK for x amount of years or listen to x amount of bands if you try to kick 'em out of the fandom? For the first example, by the time they come back after the specified number of years, they're not gonna know anything new because they left due to peer pressure, so they may as well have just stayed.

I keep seeing VK stores getting the axe, magazines ceasing publication and very few bands joining spotify, putting their songs up on YouTube and stuff like that.
 
Looks like streaming services will be the final nail in the coffin for VK as whole.  Tragic, but it serves them right for always being so greedy and narrow minded in terms of business and reaching out to the fans, mostly foreigners.

Im Rica and I have been a guest on this forum for a few years, and finally decided to join the family and introduce myself. I am 19 and I'm from Hong Kong(yup, technically part of China but also not really!!). This forum is so useful and informational. I started liking Visual Kei at about 2015, youtube recommended me Kiryu's Amaterasu MV out of nowhere. And I have been in the circle since.
 
I'm not a really active bangya, since I couldnt travel for lives; I got my friends to bought a few CD for me from Japan when they go travelling. Personally, I dont know anyone who know visual kei around me, since it is a very very niche thing in HK. I can only tell my sister and to few of my close friends. So it's great that I know there is a forum like this where I can talk about and read about things that I love. I am actually going to travel to Tokyo next week and I am super excited about it, too bad non of my favs have any lives during my stay :(. 
 
(sorry if i am too long-winded, im a bit excited). 
 
Few of my favorite bands are(in no specific order): 
Kiryu they got me into this whole thing, 
DIV heart broken when they disbanded but was predicted since their last single was uneventful to say the least, 
MejiBray still hasnt got excited about the 8psb thing, 
Clowd sad that they disbanded as well, 
Royz only for their music occasionally and for the kami- Subaru, 
Arlequin love their music and getting their songs on spotify is really appreciated, 
The Raid got into them recently because of kabukicho rainy, love their music and the vocalist's voice
Unite. like their song style occasionally, came across them because they are in the same company as DIV
Babykingdom their songs are so catchy and shogo is so cute~ (not sure if it is a guilty pleasure here)...

I also listen to other bands based on the songs, I'm mostly into Vkei for the music to be honest. 
 
Other than vkei, also have an unexplainable love for Motely Crue, Queen, and any other songs occasionally popular to millennials these days.
I am so happy to be here~ and nice to meet you guys~   guess im talking too much for an introduction post  looking forward to be educated about band dramas and news, since i dont really know japanese and am very unfamiliar with fandoms.

I kind of feel bad hating on her too. Maybe she's actually lovely, but we're being given this edit where she's insufferable. But judging all the drama and consistent comments from other Queens about Silky being annoying af, I think it's justified. Anyone who goes out of their way to leave racist and hateful comments to her is a piece of shit, but we're allowed to be annoyed by her behaviour on the show. We have the right to dislike what we're seeing. I still think one of the intentions behind keeping her is that the fans needed a fat queen, lest they cry out on social media about fat shaming on rpdr, etc. 

That lipsynch... oof. Sucks to see Nina go, but that deserved a double sashay away. But yeah, the fact that Silky got to stay at the end makes it so obvious that she's kept only because she's good tv material. And the way she treated Soju was pretty horrid, too.

If that lip sync wasn't an indication of what the hell is going on here with this silky narrative?

Fingers crossed for quality, but not gonna hold my breath. I think they've got it in em to knock a new release out of the park, at least I want to believe it, but we'll find out soon enough.

The cover art for the first of the two singles, "Ever After", has been released, alongside the tracklists for both releases. "Ever After" is not available in Hora's webshop yet but I guess it'll be added soon.

It's true that there exist GazettE fans who don't really know much about VK, but I don't actually think that's such a bad thing in itself. I've heard a lot of people saying they don't like when people only like one VK band and don't know much about any others, but so what? Maybe they don't want to be a part of the VK fandom as a whole. Of course, it is kind of annoying when people claim to be huge VK fans who know everything about loads of bands when they really don't, but even that's something I can turn a blind eye to. It's not like it's the worst thing in the world, and they might just be newcomers who have a lot to discover but don't yet know it. We all started somewhere, after all.

I wonder if these guys are gonna do a parody of the Chin-man's drama? lol Masato wearing a poop emoji hat ❤️
