Romance of Scarlet would have been obviously the superior choice (Feminism merely shines due to its variety but production values suck) due to its stellar production/mixing value but I don't think anyone could find 1994 edition anymore though. Not to mention even Yahoo Auctions don't have any copies up for bidding or so?

Necro update for 2k17: - Natsume Mito will have a new album churned out by courtesy of Mr. Japanese Guetta, I mean - Yasutaka Nakata. Only 3 new songs though, and the rest does not have that oomph old Ystk fans would love to feel once again - CORNELIUS is back! A new single done in the cooperation with that Shintaro guy from Yura Yura Teikoku will be released around late April. - Especia will kaisan. No promising future for long-time idol acts, boo. - Towa Tei's EMO album is making socks go giddy-giddy~ - Kominami Yasuha is calling kaisans too... - If you have hopes and dreams for this duo unlike me, keep an eye on new Charisma.com chunk of chunez - KPP seems to disoriented now that she doesn't know whether to drop the shtick or not, time to break the shackles off Nakata~ - Perfume and a new single. Render me emotion-free now. - Ryuichi Sakamoto's comeback...J-pop or just avant?
-
It took merely and literally a couple of years to have this "better HALCALI" turning into some sort of sad, carbon copy of late M.I.A./Chainsmokers-influenced fad act. Kaisan is inevitable. Who else would save J-electro(pop) like they did for a short term back in 2014? (p.s. do not consult Roland if you seek diamonds in the midst of mediocre electropop garbage circa this year)

Okay so to other guys who suggested Romance of Scarlet: it's totes great, yes, but let's consider OP's funds for that matter: > It's not that easy nor cheap to get the first press edition of RoS with "Autism" - other editions have no signs of that song, which is a damn shame, considering how stellar it is truly. As for those two albums, I would go with CORKSCREW due to its more cohesive content where Drug Treatment kinda fails imho. I did not feel that the latter particularly had any "scope" to begin with, albeit having a good jam or two.
-
Allow me to address your mentions there and ask the OP: @yuki_avk, do you intend to play these j-rock/v-kei songs exactly as they were intended to (i.e. tab book renditions), or are you merely looking into some sort of picture like what kind of scale, playing style you could improvise etc. (i.e. "personal rendition", most j-rock cover acts usually resort to such tactic). Based on scales and playing styles alone, LS and L'arc are not that hard if you are somewhat knowledgeable about basic, simple major scales and you don't really fancy random all-over-the-place renditions. However, back catalogue of both acts have "enriched" chordings and questionable cross-track meddling (because 1 or 2 guitars aren't enough) - so if you don't want to get yourself immersed in realizing e.g how major 7s, dims and other questionable chord combinations work, don't stick to L'Arc nor any Sugizo-approved LS work between 1991 and 1996. Easiest songs that I would classify under "simplest renditions": Taion by Gazette (as noted, PLUS one of the easiest j-rock solos) 304 Goushitsu... by Dir en grey (Die's electric guitar doodle might be the hardest part but it's possible to memorize) ROMANCE by BUCK-TICK (they have a lot more no-frills songcraft than that) That Owari song by Girugamesh (play that, and you will be able to master most v-kei alt. metal tracks) TL;DR: play songs where you are able to catch almost every familiar, "basic" chord - so basically not-so-modified power chords, simple major/minor chords, no dissonant dim chords, no multitracked/abridged chordings etc. etc. Maybe you get the theory, maybe not but remember - easiest songs come with textbook patterns, not with impros written in a wacky drug haze

Unfortunately this will be never realized in such a big echo chamber like this one. Basically you have like each and every agitator practicing their foul deeds and when they get called out for their rude opinions or any bullshit, e.g. faux-ubermensch entitlement in bigotry because of their self-proclaimed "not a str8 waipipo, fak off homofob" privilege (common issue among most trolls here, yet the staff does not even bat an eye), they escalate the situation and play the victim instead while there were no signs of "hate crime" or some sort in the first place. I shalt still refer to my status replies because some trolls and otherwise easily offended ones still fail to realize this and prefer shooting the messengers as pastime. Maybe someone should do something about identity talks as the basis of MH opinions nowadays. Yes, those talks have to be stopped, take it back to tumblr, livejournal, youtube, whatever pleases you. I just cannot fathom these days how someone's sex, orientation or ethnicity has to be involved when all we do mostly is drool over either Final fantasy cosplaying call boys' nasal anthems or chinese freak porn cartoons or anything that makes /jp/ blush - and WITHOUT problems! Aren't we basically all the same in the eyes of outsiders though? Why would we segregate each other further? Forum's demise will be totes promised if the staff prefers to gloss over aforementioned, damaging aspects. Not a threat, just something that one of your red admins noted two years ago (still relevant).

Delivery is as interesting as those by any other not-definitely-missed love metal-genre act (Lovex, anyone?) circa 2005-2008.

There will be if Firewall div./Sun-krad decided to supervise/operate their common collab portal and promote broadcasting "+extras" (Androgynos, that is). And since Pierrot is now technically "label-less" (for the sake of proof, use lookup on Pierrot's fanclub portal and you will notice that they operate it themselves at the moment, Universal, EMI and Mystic Child days are long gone now), it will be a huge win for DT and his crooks to take PIERROT under their wing. Cannot wait to see Pierrot's prospective releases being churned out under Firewall's label, oh what an irony - maybe Aiji won't fuck it up this time? edit: just spend 1-2 minutes on this one and draw some conclusions from there: http://whois.domaintools.com/androgynos.jp

Maybe you should not let your discoveries escalate to the point of typical "All [any ethnicity here] are racists" though? Her perceptions are her own issue, but when it comes to you, such obstacle - or challenge, if you will - provides more opportunities in regards to how you prove your skills' worth (and your worth if we stretch it a lil bit). Don't let yourself down because of this: chin up, you will definitely graduate. Just acknowledge that if you keep your cool and do your thing with some devotion, you will be always smarter than her in that sense. Most people that face racism should acknowledge that "handle" somewhere around them exists - something they can grasp onto to reach up and further from the cesspool of hate that victims of perceived racism usually resort to as the means of self-defense. Don't be like them (there are some in MH unfortunately)

@cvlticNow you made me curious - so when exactly did this episode happen to Sugizo - I do acknowledge that his off-stage personality might disappoint those assuming he would be some sort of rockstart badass in person as well but this...? Oh, also: This may have been mentioned and cited to the point of exhaustion but Aoi from the GazettE has surely garnered a vast bunch of dedicated haters from otaku/vocaloid fanbase thanks to his otherwise ridiculous vocaloid jeering on Twitter back in 2011 or 2012-ish - maybe later (Tomomi cut him at the roots and halted his Twitter activities immediately after such uproar). Just when exactly did he have the platform to say such things when his band's music around the same time sounded more artificial than professional Miku tunes?
-
I am pretty sure their main reasoning (aside from rivalship) for such live collabing was to make those similar song titles from their catalogue somehow collide together - "HADES", "HUMAN GATE" and whatnot. Lol.
-
Somewhere deep inside it sickens me that our generation (Y or Z, the hell I know) "relearned" to dance and trample on the graves of those whom we would deem to be either "evil" or anything descriptive akin to opposite opinions, opposing ideals et cetera. Just where exactly is this humane sensibility these days? We are becoming caricatures of someone or something that we are criticizing, bluntly speaking. "Oh yes, he died like a Hitler scum he is"? Congratulations, you played yourself - your failure and demise will also induce this "hitler scum" rhetoric and activity from those who reasonably loathe you. We cannot lump any representative of humankind into "lower tier" based on our superficial perceptions or other opinionated position. No moral high ground here - either ignore or console when hearing or meeting someone's demise, nothing else is needed. Tumblr and any other commune won't state this - your reality will. Monsters do not exist but their existence will be enabled in us if we do not get rid of this toxic mentality sooner or later. Not even words could describe how many faces I have seen , I have respected earlier, but have eventually hit a new low by embracing aforementioned, despicable behavior. Just some honest thoughts from me. MH may need some of this while it stands still among forgotten J-rock realms.

I personally felt that the song in question was way too retrospective compared to the rest of Disorder's content which I presumed was sorta "one step up to Gazette's new nu metal-ier sound". It doesn't differ much from the rest of Gazette's back catalogue if you happen to acknowledge songs like Akai One Piece, some songs on Cockayne, Matina songs etc. but along with songs like angst anthem Zakurogata and riot bangers akin to Social Riot Machines and Anti Pop?

I thought that was more up your alley considering that you replaced your logical sentiments and arguments with blatant thotspeak (to use your fancy terms again, boy) ever since your identity burnout like 2-3 years ago. Have a nice day. Here's hoping mods won't save your arse this time
-
You could easily eliminate specific frequencies from Cassis with Audacity or any other track manipulation tool and notice this: backing vox do not even match any pitch/tone that Ruki has/had - whether natural or pitch-shifted ones. As for thots: they were present ever since their "Cassis"-single (Toguro, Bath Room, DLN, to name a few), except that they did not exhibit our good ol' "R'n'B"-ish attributes (FITB, Calm Envy, etc.). But I won't be pushing debates here any further - just go and manipulate the whole NIL album (for instance) and hear it for yourself.
-
You do know that "gazette thot" has been present in the original version as well (not saying anyone would notice it immediately, since it was mixed badly)? Mind the "second voice" behind verse parts and "I WIRR WARK TOGEZA" parts there (the latter has been apparently dismissed in the rererecorded version) Can't say much about Guren since I never warmed up to it except maybe arrangement-wise because intro riffage was always GOAT there (just to credit @Ro plz), but Cassis seems to be more on par with their current live renditions. Also: THANK GOD Ruki changed English parts (almost) completely As for "Unraveling" treatment that most peeps - incl. me - anticipated: while the idea itself may sound charming but pay attention to the fact that Gazette always strived to remain as the "stadium format band", which means any trademark tune would be more likely the same as it is remembered by their older fans and cherished by their newer fans as well. THEY WILL PERFORM THESE RENDITIONS LIVE after this compilation, so mind their expected reaction AND purpose (i.e. anything but vast disappointment).

I fail to see the point of this hype behind something what one could sensibly title "Heart of Gold meets Subete e v.2". I am rather curious whether Saga's songcraft began to stagnate a lot lately or someone more inferior took his seat with crafting of these latest chunes. They are literally not progressing at all...
-
So the point of this otherwise 2ch/4ch plagiate topic is to post the cover art of your favorite album which you would deem to be 5/5 if you performed the *action* you wrote/described below. For example: *Deletes Fuyu no Castanet and puts it as an extra b-side instead, thus ending the album at Gekisei* *Deletes Shichigatsu Youka* And since this is more or less opinionated shitposting, it belongs here. So feel free to contribute your bantz.

I have never seen any mentions of Ningen Isu from Ao nor Shuuji either - you've got one guy who's really fascinated about early Japanese post punk, zolo music and prolly these base VK acts (LS, BT) and the other one who's really into synthpop, new wave and similar genre pioneers from the western world. I can get behind Kuroyuri in case it's true though. There are some "Japanesque traditionalist rock" tendencies in Kuroyuri too but merely small frills rather than dominant themes.
-
Yeah it sounds a lot like typical Sukekiyo-an fare. Guess the title is "Aoguroi Hysteria"?
-
Would've been great except that I *THINK* their intention has been mostly incorporating titles which are otherwise *same* in Japanese (read: katakanization - "Akuro/Acro", "Megido/Megiddo"), and actually involve something *ancient, historic* for that matter - "Acro" being ofc derived from Acropolis and its history while "Megiddo" could be traced down to the Battle of Megiddo or the place itself. I don't think Plastic Tree ever incorporated *ancient* titles or names in their early songworks? This would thus break the theme imho.
-
I can confirm this: - Megiddo <--- "Megiddo no Oka" by PIERROT, therefore = PIERROT's the main act - Acro <--- "Akuro no Oka" by DIR EN GREY, therefore = DIR EN GREY's the main act Some genius titling really.

Literally this for the first part of your comment (sadly enough I didn't bother to initiate newer relationships after "the first fling" and failed relationship due to my bad sentiments on "leaving every fun aspect of your self-focused life behind on a whim", i.e. being too wary of starting anything new after fuckups so to speak) Folks in this thread - as stated above, don't rush with your intimate life/relationships etc. . There's no such thing as "the caste of early cherry-popped birds" or whatever these "Chads" tell you nowadays. I honestly could have "turned a better leaf" in my life if it wasn't for this idiocy of social pressure and consequent "doom and gloom" I am experiencing even today as we speak. Give it some time but at the same time, give yourselves a chance to build "the better self" your future partners would cherish as much as you would cherish them - without someone's pressuring/convincing effort.
