  1. I just realized but I think it's a bit sad that nobody's talking about the old japanese music (not only in MH of course). When I'm saying old music, I think of the second part of 20th century. From the group sounds bands in the 60's to the cold gothic rock scene in the 80's (that eventually lead in visual kei), passing by the psychedelic progressive scene of the 70's (Jacks in mind).

    Are there people here who are interested in stuff like that?

      I do, with some older Japanese friends 「2」

      I think a lot of people would be interested if there was enough to be interested in!

      This is a problem you will see even in 90s visual kei and its because these eras and periods were before the internet started. The only information and music available is from those people who were willing to put the time and energy in to make them available, legally or not. Think about it: it's hard to be interested in Japanese surf rock from the 60s if there aren't any bands to sample or people to ask.

      I think the best way to fix this is to go ahead and use MH as a platform to advertise these older bands. There aren't many other established places to go, so here is as good as anywhere IMO. And don't be discouraged if you don't get a lot of replies initially because we have a lot of lurkers. But eyes and ears are more important than words and if you stick to it long enough, you might create a few new fans out of us.

    Didn't expect to like this that much. I listened to the Ki-ban album and it's a masterpiece of art/post-punk, give it a shot if you liked this song but don't give up just because of the voice.

    New digital single available : Last Dance (however only for Japan streaming)

    Well, in my case, I think that zeitgeist is just a little little higher in my ranking than ANGELS. And certainly that what makes the difference between those two is that zeitgeist was the first album that I listen from them. (And the main topic of zeitgeist attracts me a lot too) Otherwise, it's interesting to note that on RateYourMusic, the albums ranking is the chronological order. (With the exception that Misstopia is better ranked than To (melt into)) So yeah, Hallelujah is second behind ANGELS. It's great to see that ANGELS is doing a great start on the site, already the best rating and the 2nd with the most ratings in just over a week. (The album downgrade a lot now ahah)

    Hidden masterpiece. I discovered this in a television ad of a random electronic thing like electronic portal that was diffused in my class (the ad is at least 10 years old). I searched hours to find this. Note that from this duo, the japanese guy, Gun Kawamura, who's living in Italy, released some albums that are amazing on Bandcamp. The way I discovered all this will always amaze me.

  8. Traduction of Mukai's comment : "One day, early in the summer of 2018, I was drunk. And I told myself. I want to play with them again, with NUMBER GIRL, at RISING. And then, I thought to myself that I wanted to make money. I was drunk. So I called them. For the first time in a very long time. And finally, we will do it. And if possible, I wish it was not a one-shot." Source

    Finally, after having reformed in December 2016, the post-punk/indie rock band SPARTA LOCALS announced a new album for 2019! Scheduled for February 6, this is the first album for 11 years with the album "Leecher" released in 2008! The label that will have the hard work to release this eighth long-awaited album will be P-VINE. More details will be revealed later. http://spartalocals.net/
  16. Psysalia Psysalis Psyche's lifespan : 2005->2012 : 7 years

    Dissolution to now : 2012->2019 : 7 years

    It will not be a coincidence if they reform in 2019.

    I'm pretty smart when it's for finding stats about a possible reformation of PPP.

    @karai · ebi Thank you a lot! As I thinked, the song's overall meaning still escapes me a bit. But I can understand a bit some of the sentences, so thanks again.
  18. Well, in addition to the fact that I find this song so powerful. This is one of the first where I really don't understand anything. As much when I listen to music I understand some kanjis and I can understand a little bit the song. But there, it speaks of ミーガン法 or ロール感, I do not understand anything at all. If anyone would have the time and the kindness to translate this gobbledygook, I will be very grateful to him. Thanks in advance ! Here is the lyrics : タールとコークをオーダーメイド 花びらのレインコート ミーガン法ロール感と水死体 遊ぶその群れに警官はいない Many Time See You 愛と国王のため あの人の星座 夕刊と朝刊のメインみたい アトムと亡霊 冷淡なスマイル Many Guys See You あぁ、嘘を嘘の上にレイヤー 愛と国王の上に税関は無い 遊ぶその群れに霊感は無い あぁ嘘を嘘の上にレイヤードスタイル あぁいそいそと家に 幻覚もライフ And the song of course :

    @Lestat I have Dazzlingly Rooms and Dead Surf (but that's thanks to @bryyodt). Milk & Astroride are available from Spotify. And their past stuffs are hard to find. I don't have them. Well, in my case, I had the misfortune to lose their self-titled album during my move, so if you have a link, I am interested.
  20. SoulTheBaka

    I uploaded it myself, this trip-hop/rock masterpiece should be more famous ! The last 2 tracks are particularly really good. This is my best melancholic stuff. (and no! It's not the visual kei band!!)
