Gotcha! I don't mind any vkei, oldschool or modern it doesn't mind, if it's good it's good, but me personally prefer older sound more just like non vkei music I also listen to oldschool stuff more from 60s-00s it's just me I might be wrong but I just have a feeling like it was more honest, had more heart, more emotional and was pushing the boundaries much more (talking about rock/punk/metal music mostly) and I feel it's like that in vkei too! But as I said it's individual and everybody has its own opinion as long as vkei is not dead I am happy! ^^

Hi everyone.  I've been into vkei for a long time now but just found out about this awesome forum. It has been my little secret world so I haven't researched that much about different communities/forums or even talk to people about it (at least not alot). Other than vkei I also listen to alot of different music and music genres and always open for exploring something new. First time I was introduced with vkei was when I was 11 years old when I first seen Hide - Light My Fire cover on youtube (that exact video from 2006 is still up on yt) and since I am from small EU country I've never seen anything like that so I was very curious what is that all about and why is that guy wearing weird fashion and rest is history which changed my life forever. I am not a big fan of modern vk but I don't hate it and I listen to it a bit. I am mostly fan of 90s-00s stuff like Pierrot, Kuroyume, Luna Sea, Piass,Baiser and my favourite X-Japan and then later bands like Kagrra, Gazette, Mucc, D'espairsRay, Plastic tree, Nightmare (which is heavily underrated imo) etc... From newer bands I really dig Jiluka,Archemi, the Raid. and many more. Don't know what else to say, thank you for reading this squeezed and messy text, looking forward in meeting some new people here!  (and sorry if I posted this in wrong part of the forum im still trying to learn how things work here ><)

Hello! I joined this site because  I want to discuss v-kei in a place where most people should be very knowledgeable about it. I mostly like early 90s bands like Rouage, Silver Rose, Sleep My Dear, etc.

Hello everyone, I've been a long time fan of Visual kei for almost half a decade ( If you consider that a long time?), I recently found out about this site from a friend who mentioned it and I thought I'd check it out!

I'm into the oldschool side of things, I do not mind some modern bands, although I'm not a big fan of the cookie cutter thing that's going on nowadays.
To give you a feel, I'm really into Malice Mizer, La' Mule, Parasite, Baiser, Noi'X, and I'm a HUGE deadman fan.
Other than that, I enjoy playing my guitar, listening to normie music, and collecting old military items.
Please feel free to talk to me, I don't have much friends so hopefully that can change!

I deeply apologize if I accidentally posted this in the wrong forum, I have trouble navigating through sites like these!

Hello. I just found this website and saw a visual kei section and so I signed up.
I'm 26 and I have been listening to Visual Kei for 12 years now.
I don't really know a lot of the recent stuff, I just have the bands that I already know and like XD
The bands I've known the longest are Dir En Grey and the Gazette, that I used to listen to when I was 14. Geeze that's so long ago.
Back in dem days you either got your Visual Kei from limewire or people who were kind enough to share mp3s on their sites, like this one graphic artist who made Visual Kei avatars and other graphics.

I'd really love some friends who are into Visual Kei. Though I hear the interest in western countries is dying. I know that the community is small in Australia, and even smaller in my city, Melbourne. (It's a very toxic place...)
So... Making friends on the internet it is lololol

Hello everyone, I hope you are well 😁

I met v-kei when I was 13 years old watching a music video from one of my favorite bands, NIGHTMARE. The sound, the visual aesthetics, the movement itself made me love for life. Although I liked that kind of style very much, I started to like Oshare Kei more. Bands such as Irokui, An Cafe, Ichigo69, Delphinium, Poroli, Hime Ichigo, among others. At present, I also like the Angura, groups like Monokuro Kinema, MIZERIA, Kalimero, Hotaru, Jully, etc.

I do not like much the evolution that Visual Kei has taken in the last time, but I can not deny that it has been the aesthetic (and pseudo musical) genre that managed to steal my heart, being almost impossible that I like something else at this point.

I hope to contribute to this community of which they have spoken to me very well. Thank you very much to anyone who has read me and I hope we can talk, if you like 😊.

I'm new here, I've been a JRock fan for about 12 years though. A member actually recommended I check this place out, Draincherry2021. :0)

I am from the USA, though I've lived in Finland and Germany and traveled a lot. My favorite bands change with my mood but I've seen Dir en Grey live more than any other band. I suppose at this current moment, my top 5 J-Rock bands would be:
    1. Matenrou Opera
    2. Versailles
    3. VIVARUSH,
    4. The Raid
    5. Moi Dix Mois

But again, it changes pretty much daily. ^^

I'm looking to buy JRock stuff, I love buying bulk lots of stuff because its fun to discover new bands that way. Anyway, I'm glad to be here and I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot of me.

I haven't been active in the fandom for years now but I recently tried to log in to Batsu and found it had died. Felt emotional, spent many happy hours on there with friends from all over the world. Might be for the best really, all those embarassing posts...

Anybody from Fukkatsu, Batsu or jref on here?

I'm glad to have found this site and to know the scene is still active. Can't wait to discover new music and rediscover old favourites.

    Hi all,

I've been a member since 2012 but I don't think I ever made an introduction post back then, truth is I'm not actually the most talkative person in the world but I did pop up in a few threads here and there. After that, I lost touch with MH for quite a while but some recent events within the fandom brought me back and since then I've been back every day not just for that but all the news, so I thought I'd pop up again.

I got into VK in 2010 via the GazettE and to this day they remain my favorite band. At the time me and my friend agreed we wouldn't look any further than them because it would be too 'dangerous', at least for me anyway. That lasted all of about a week before I went snooping and discovered D'espairsRay, then Screw and then it just spiralled from there. Whenever I get bored, I always end up looking for new VK music to listen to and they all just accumulate on my PC and in my CD collection. Active bands I follow besides the GazettE are Diaura, Razor, Reign, a few others and I recently got into Kizu and Fixer.

Outside of VK, the other place I haunt on a regular basis is the blu ray site as I'm also an avid collector of movies and TV shows and that's about it.

    Thanks all.

i got into metal 4 months ago when somebody recommended me dir en grey on my thread titled 'music with screams'or something like that on myanimelist. its the first and only metal band that i was into until a couple of days ago.(currently im also following dadaroma and the black swan) My main motive for coming here is asking(begging?) for recommendations so i apologize in advance if i seem like annoying .

    Side question -
whats are you guys top 10 acoustic/unplugged songs from metal/rock bands? (i might be creating separate 1 or 2 threads regarding this question if i didnt got good response in this thread....my this introduction thread was actually just an excuse for asking this question so dont let me down and name some great acoustic/unplugged songs folks!)

    PEACE~

K-x-H got a reaction from colorful人生 in Mobile games
I do play various of mobile games besides Akashic Re:cords, i started playing A rhythm game developed by Noxy Games called Lanota, 2 months ago and can't stop playing its because the main story was kind of good but the expansion chapters are more great to play if i only do have purchased it and also their songs and the way you play the game the music chart is kind of a strech and challenging, dpecially the Ultra and Master difficulties but it was fun.

Next i did started playing another rhythm game from last month it was called Arcaea a rhythm game developed by lowiro games, their music chart was kind of hell because the speed notes are too fast for me too handle but the songs and the characters were great. It even had a collaboartion with Lanota.

Then i usually play this indie rhythm most time called Hachi Hachi, it was an online music game that has a PvP , their songs were cool and the rhythm game that kills my time of enjoyment to enjoy with practice and play, espcially unlocking new songs through events which only do if i had the money to purchase coins and it gives 500 event collection for every purchase of 700 coins and above.

And i was playing a japanese exclusive 3D RPG VR moe game called Alternative Girls, a game that has different types of girls in 3 teams with 6 members per team, this is a game where players are potrayed as Captains and its a game where you can form a team in the game like your usual RPG games, and the VR allows the player to communicate with the 4 favorite girls that player chosed, you can also change their dress through gacha, event and other rewards, the game also helds VR idol lives as well to listen to one of the girl's songs.
