  1. Definitely interested. for a "small indie project" made in the "guitarist's apartment" it sounds really professional and polished. You are all very talented without any doubt. You have a new follower on Spotify. I recently started making attempts at composing my own music, I wish someday I can release something that sounds at least half as good as your work does.

The "actress" in this PV is actually the chick from Rose Noire.

I was wondering if it was her when I saw the single's covers for the first time.  Guess I wasn't mistaken.

Is a shame that they didn't spend 2 extra bucks to make a PV for GARDEN. Is my favorite song from this release.

  3. I have to agree with ShanethVarosa. I can't really talk about these guys objectively. But I'd still like to share my thoughts on the EP.

    - La Musique: Exactly what I expected from KAMIJO. Perfect for a first track, and doesn't steal the spotlight from the title track.

    - Shadows Fang: Great intro,  rest of the track sounds really too much like La Musique, wonder if the similarity is accidental or is something KAMIJO and HIZAKI actually planned.

    - Inheritance: One of my favourites here. Love the dark tone the melody and  the choirs have, and rhythm changes. My only complain about it is how short it is. For something named after God Palace I would have expected at least 8 minutes.

    - A Day Without You: My least favorite of the EP. Is not bad, but the chorus gives me the same "anime opening" vibes I got from Illusion, and feels pretty out of place to me. KAMIJO's solo reminds me a lot of DESTINY's. Again, I wonder if it was accidental or a planned throw back to it.
    - Lineage: My other favourite. I can't really choose between this one and Inheritance. Is great in every aspect. Again loving the color, choirs, melody and rhythm changes on it. The orchestral arrange is 10/10 KAMIJO work. This one could have been way longer too, it has the potential.

    - Marionette: First thing that came to my mind when I listened to the previews was it sounded a little bit merveilles-ish, something not usual on them, but not bad at all. Again loving the orchestral arrange here. HIZAKI and TERU should team up to compose stuff more often, they balance each other in a great way.

Overall, like JukaForever noticed, the rhythm section really shines a lot in this EP.

9/10 work to me, really enjoyed it, and I know I'll be  listening to it a lot. In my opinion it's only lacking the Versailles' trademark ridiculously  long song. (Come on KAMIJO, I'm still waiting for a 20 minutes masterpiece to follow up God Palace and Faith & Decision). JUBILEE is still my favourite release. I believe they really pushed the bar too high with it.

  4. After all the drama, can't say I didn't see this happening. Is a shame since I liked a couple of their songs.

MeteoroiD played Tokyo in Tulsa and then broke up.... Avanchick set to play Tokyo in Tulsa and then announce they're breaking up. Shit's cursed! Stay woke!

DESTROSE is another one that had exactly the same fate. Add it to the list.

  5. Doesn't really surprise me. If they really had only 187 people at their oneman after 9 years of work, they probably felt the effort wasn't worth it at all and that eventually leads you to think you could have better luck with a different approach. Never liked them to much but hope everything goes better on whatever they decide to do now.

The good news is Starwave now can put more money on other bands.

Hope so. Scarlet Valse deserves more than 5 bucks to make their  MVs

  6. This is really a shame, I love their sound. I was afraid of this happening as soon as members started departing some time ago. Hope all of them find new ways to keep making music.

But Versailles never had a rare song. Everything always got released for everybody sooner or later

Yeah, the only rare song they have is a pre-mastered version of ASCENDEAD MASTER that came with a promotional CD of the self-titled single, and maybe the japanese version of The Love from a Dead Orchestra, but that's not really rare, just kinda difficult to find outside of Japan.

They usually go for different package/jackets though: The Revenant Choir had 2 exclusive versions with different jackets, sold only at lives; and a different package for a mail order version. Lyrical Symphathy had an exclusive Halloween version with a different jacket limited to only 500 copies, but that jacket was later used on the re-issues.

  8. Re-recordings sound really good even with the low quality samples. Specially interested on LFDO too. KAMIJO's singing somehow reminds me a little of their earlier releases, wich in my opinion is a good thing. Melodic Thorn sounds ridiculously beautiful.

Can't wait to get my hands on this.

  9. They seem to choose the worst promoters to work with. Bad budget or bad luck?

I feel really bad for the people who have invested time and money travelling to see those shows.

Hope this won't discourage him to do more NA/SA tours in the future.
