  1. @inertia Thanks for sharing those memories on that beautiful experience. I always thought KAMIJO looked ridiculously thin (even more than usual) during that late LAREINE-NEW SODMY period, and I also had read about some of his part-time jobs at the time, but I never imagined things were really that bad for them. Makes everything they did even more impressive and makes me respect KAMIJO's passion even more than I already did. His love and the efforts he made to keep the band alive are more than admirable! I would love to hear more stories, since I sadly got to know them too late, and those details I missed make me appreciate them even more and more.

@Cantavanda Same thing goes for the info on the LAREINE fansite you are working on, I can't wait to see it finished!

I saw that too. It seems like his recent strategy is to release the full music video on YouTube, but have a bunch of text over it in low quality (this isn't uncommon, as far as I know) like he did for Castrato and Mademoiselle. Not sure why Nosf in particular is the ugly step child of this album :S

Yeah, now that you mention it I have seen other artists doing that before: full video on YouTube but with ads of the album/single all over it. Maybe it works for getting views? Nosferatu was probably chosen because it was already released as a single, like Castrato and mademoiselle were. Just my personal opinion here, but I loved Nosferatu and was very hyped for its release, but now I hate how the studio version sounds in the single. It gives me that pop-mix vibes some people got from Moulin Rouge before, muffled down drums and guitars, vocals too loud, etc.

I guess Notsferatwho??? just isn't getting  a PV or attention ever ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Nosferatu is getting a PV

It's listed on the Blu Ray/DVD for Sang. I don't know if the late release of PV's (happened with Castrato too didn't it?) is something done intentionally or just a badly organized schedule (it kinda makes them not Promotional Videos anymore, technically at least)

Versailles is back, do a world tour, release an album with the same song played over and over  and rick roll everyone (should I call it versailles roll ?)

Does KAMIJO's Nosferatu count? I love the song but the tracklist still looks hilarious to me.

  5. KAMIJO will make a couple of appareances at Miku's Vampire fest event:

    • Fanmeeting and Handshake: Starting at 7:30pm JST on January 16th, 2018 (opening day for this collaboration)
    • Autograph session: Starting at  6:30pm JST on January 30th, 2018. (Note: You can only attend this event by purchasing KAMIJO goods/CDs earlier in the collaboration. Once you buy those goods, a numbered ticket will be given to you for this autograph session. A bonus postcard will also be given out to be used for autographs.) [There is a limited amount of numbered tickets].

  6. I loved EPOCALIPSE so as long as he stays in that style I'm probably going to love this too. I agree with Elazmus though, his guturals don't sound that good this time, they even remind me of very early Rentrer en Soi's. Not a big fan of the video either, so I will pretend it doesn't exist, like I did with BERSEKER's and REVELATION's

Ah, sorry, I thought you were talking about lives that haven't been shared on YouTube. But thank you for replying! I don't think I have the last live audio, but I'll check around here first. ^^

I'm especially looking for Gackt-era bootleg vids, but these are harder to find since up until the late 80s to mid-90s it was still ok to take videos at concerts and fans would trade them, but later music venues started cracking down on the practice.

Sorry! I'm not sure if I have ever seen a Gackt era bootleg vid, since like you said around that time bands started getting picky with that. If I ever have the luck and find any footage of those concerts I'll let you now. Send me a DM or quote me here again if you can't find the Last Live audio so I can upload it for you!

Are there places where bootleg MM lives have been uploaded? Back in the day an old friend of mine had a few TV live appearances, but we could never seem to get a hold of anything bootlegged past random concert clips. Would love to see some of those. D:

You can find most them easily, with some of them even on YouTube itself:

For example: Tetsu era liveTetsu's Last Live, Early Gackt era Live (audio only)

There's also audio recordings of another Tetsu era live (Cher de memoire I) and two lives from Klaha era (Gardenia tour and their Last live)

I imagine those probably have been uploaded here at some point but, if you can't find any working link, let me know and I'll upload them for you.

  9. These are the ones that come to my head at the moment

    NEW SODMY

mousouko (there is only a small clip of it in the TOUR CAT WALK 2002 -Documents- VHS, and a transcription of its lyrics, but it remains unrecorded),

    Frame (only played live, unrecorded),

DALA (you can hear it in the LAST LIE live VHS but there never was a proper recording).

    MALICE MIZER

    16のソリチュード (16 no SOLITUDE),

    Freeze me

    Portugal

    白昼のワルツ (Hakuchuu no WALTZ)

    前兆  (Zenchou's vocal version),

    魅惑のタンゴ (Miwaku no TANGO),

You can hear them in several bootleg recordings from their lives.

    E'm~grief~

Rita and Cecir were supposedly working on new songs some time after their hiatus, but with Yuuze's death and Rita leaving the scene I guess any chance of getting to hear them are pretty much dead too.
