Please comment here what the show is like! I'm really curious

It's a great release, pichipichi chapchap ranranran is the weakest song. And the color scheme is still giving me life.

Your painterly style is getting better and better!

Yusuke is giving me life in this video. Overall, a cool concept. Like someone said, I'm not a fan of the singing at the start, but it's a fun song!
-
All my music is just dumped into a folder for the year I downloaded right now. But I keep everything in .zip files to save space since most of it is on my ipod. When I organise my folders I sort the files by artist, with the year of release either at the end or start of the file name.

I've gone off the gazette for a few years now, but I've always regretted not seeing them live. After reading this thread I feel even worse, they sound so great live! It sucks they only came to England once (2007), they've been back in Europe a few times but always seem to avoid England for some reason. So jelly of other european countries right now, maybe on their next tour I'll have to bite the bullet and go to France or Germany to see them. edit: just saw @jduv86's insta video of the meet and greet. Ruki looks so great, I think this one of his best looks yet.
-
My mistake, I thought they made an announcement that they were going major
-
YES PLS more DADAROMA, their jazzy stuff is okay but one song is enough. Now can we have more 'Lucid Dream' with Yoshiatsu doing clown porn or something (since he seems to be into the whole pierrot look lately)

Yeah I've come across people like that, "japanese artists are way more talented" or "k-pop is so much cooler than shitty western boy groups". Those statements usually come from hardcore weeabos or koreabos and are nothing but ignorance imo. Once I met this korean guy and asked what he thinks of Shinee, he said they're annoying and their music is rubbish. That's how I feel about most western boy groups (One direction,etc.). I would even say Shinee is the korean equivalent of One Direction...wait, don't beat me up yet. It's hard to deny the amount of production and stuff that goes into k-pop that makes it more entertaining than western boy bands, but at the end of the day, theyre just one of countless boy bands. Over there, they are probably nothing special, just like one direction is nothing special to most people in the west. Anyway, I think i'm trying to saying Idolising something just because it's from X country and thinking it's superior is a bit eh.

When they first released the preview of the first track I thought these guys were going through the 'post-going-major-generic-music-phase'. But things go xaa-xaa weird really fast I'm really looking forward to this, all tracks sound great!

I just want FF XV. The more info they release on it, the better it sounds. I love the world they've created and can't wait to see what other summons will be in the game (Pls god, let a 50meter tall Ifrit be in the game) Also the new Nier game and No man's Sky. I'm looking forward to more FF VII REMAKE information as well, seeing all the butthurt fanboys is literally my favourite hobby and the more info released the more the butthurt intensifies. Please, carry on Squeenix.

I haven't come across the language thing yet. Whenever I show people Jrock etc, what tends to put them off is the whole look. "Are they gay?" "Those aren't women?" these are the first things that people say and they just get so fixated on the look that they don't give a shit about the music. My mom is one of the few people I tried to introduce to the genre that appreciates both the looks and the music even though it's not to her taste, if I show her a song she can always appreciate the art. Also like someone already mentioned, it's not mainstream and it isn't something you see often so people tend to not take it seriously. It's a lot easier to get people into K-pop than J-rock/ VK. I'm guessing the use of common melodies and a more approachable look help.

The inconsistency problem is real, so far the only live I can actually stomach is DSS BUDOKAN. Pretty much every single song is performed at its best and Kyo has never sounded better imo. When I listened to other lives I was surprised at how faulty kyo's voice was live, and so I was just shocked at how well he did in dss budokan. (Not the best example, but he got a perfect score in Sustain the Untruth. Gives me chills) Hence why I can't wait to get my hands on the ARCHE at Budokan, if the perfomance is at the same level it will be something I'll keep coming back to every week.
-
Seeing as the vocalist only holds a microphone, it's easier for them to add more to the performance than, say, a drummer. Like someone said, Kyo has such a strong presence it's hard for him to step back, but I really would love to see more of uta's glossy hair. It doesn't help that the band always seem to be hidden in darkness. Why you guys hiding? What's up with the lighting crew? edit: after listening to VITIUM 100 times this week I can safely say it's better (just a little) than Immortalis

I think it's a great rule to have. There's nothing worse than going to a gig where hundreds of people in front of you have their phone out, recording, taking pictures, some even on facebook. The band came all the way to your country and all you care about is looking at your phone? That's what I always think about people who have it out for the whole hour and a half. Youre recording all these videos you probably won't watch ever again, let's be honest. One time when I went to see Miyavi, this douchelord kept filming his girlfriend for most of the gig, she was dancing to the songs and they were making people open space so he could film her. I'm sorry but... that's ridiculous. When I went to see this other band, this girl was on facebook and instagram the whole time posting about it, instead of enjoying it. Call me a hippie, but events become a lot more enjoyable without a cellphone or whatever , since some people just don't have any knowledge of common courtesy. Whether you accept it or not, when someone has their phone out it's so hard to not keep glancing at the screen because our eyes are naturally attracted to it. If a band asks for no pictures, it's not gonna kill me as much as I want proof that I saw them ,etc. It's not that hard to just accept it. I don't have a god complex towards bands, but I'm very thankful that they managed to come to my country and perform. Also, another reason I'm against it is because I'm 1.52m in height and it's already a struggle to see the stage in normal conditions, but when there's someone that's nearly 2m high in front of me and they block the only small square of vision I have with an ipad, then I can't see a thing. Of course, that's my problem.

I have someone who can buy them for me before I get there. I don't think it will sell out, so I will wait until I get there. All the bands I wanna see live are touring in June or August, but nothing in July. So if I have the luck to see xaa-xaa that will be something ;-; after hearing the preview, I'm looking forward to the B-sides more.
-
That's pretty interesting... I guess? It's their unique selling point to have a messed up mannequin on stage. I really hope I can see them live in July, I'm so confused about buying tickets in Japan though. Their system seems very complicated, any help/tips/advice anyone?
-
So much love for these guys. Their aesthetics are always on point, even though their look is so simple they always look great. Although 'rain' may seem like the most obvious theme for xaa-xaa , can't wait to listen to the new mini-album, it's such a perfect concept for them. Also, is the doll head their mascot or something? It was on their picture for shinitai as well

Immortalis blew me away, my favorites being the songs written by Uta, whereas Vitium had me like "???". It was just too calm and lacked something, still not a bad album, just nowhere near as good as Immortalis. Someone uploaded their recent show at Chofu City Green Hall and it's amazing. No dvd footage does these guys justice though, saw them live in 2014 and it's like stepping into some really dark acid trip.

Arche is the best DEG album imo, followed by DSS. The atmosphere of Arche as a whole, it's painful but every song is so beautifuly melodic, that makes it the top album for me. I know it's a lot more mellow compared to the other releases of the band, but I don't get why people seem to hate it so much. It's like the band went in a different direction while keeping their essence, I really appreciate that.
