I just finished building the biggest empire I ever created in Age of Mythology.

I had complete control of all Town Centers with walls, fortresses and towers everywhere, as well as an immense army with a Titan and a Nidhogg.

Not only that, I left the enemy AI in control of only one small settlement, and everytime he tried to expand I'd send a small army to wreck his buildings, leaving only his Town Center so he can rebuild and get wrecked again ad infinitum.

I made a save to make sure I never lose that moment of complete power and domination over someone else~

It was fun!

Kyo - Dir en Grey (His range still amazes me, if only he could do all that stuff live more often, but he rarely manages)

Yuki - Raphael/rice (His voice flows well with basically anything, songwriting can be lacking sometimes)

Riku - Phantasmagoria (Not sure why I like it, after listening to other bands and noticing how they pretty much try to do the same voice, his voice is no exception, but it still sounds pleasing to me, maybe it's nostalgia)

Hyde - L'arc~en~ciel (Soothing, erotic, moody, all at the same time, suffers with the same issue as Yuki)

Klaha - Malice Mizer (I like it beter than Gackt's... His solo career sucked though)

Shinya stop making me turn gayer

Anyway, I'd rather if they did a Mode of Macabre or Uroboros instead of DSS, but this is fine.

There are people in this thread right now who don't think Uroboros and Macabre are the absolute best albums they made.

Having my music player display this image everytime I listen to Raphael is the closest thing to PTSD I ever got to.

I honestly forgot what was the last movie I saw, I think it was The Labyrinth, like, two months ago? Maybe I should study less and watch more movies...

Yeah, the "dark past" thing is a trope.. but I prefer it way more than the other JRPG protagonist tropes, which are like.. "grew up in a tiny village and becomes the world saviour" or .. "average high school student becomes big hero".. also, these characters tend to have positive/friendly personalities. Velvet doesn't seem like that, so I hope she will be more interesting (but given that this is Tales, I wouldn't be surprised if she becomes a walking stereotype). Looking forward to seeing how this turns out, either way! 

True, it's rare to see a JRPG protagonist that isn't a boring overused trope, the only example i can think of right now is the Drakengard series, and Tales isn't particularly known for storytelling, it's more about flashy combat and character interactions if anything. So even if the whole cast are a bunch of walking stereotypes, watching them interact with each other might be fun.

Hell yeaaaaah, Tales of Berseria latest trailer was just released.

I'm super excited for this, because the main character is a lady, and it seems like she has a dark past and some "beast" issues. Looks like she'll be fun to use in battle. Her outfit is totally ridiculous, which is a plus or minus depending on your sensibilities. (it's a plus for me, but these games usually give you costume options anyway).

 

Graphically, it kind of looks exactly like Xillia did (and maybe Zestiria, but I haven't played that yet). Whatever, it doesn't bother me that much. Mostly excited for what looks like a "darker" tone. Yuri made Vesperia great for me because he straight up *SPOILER*murdered a dude*SPOILER*. Awesomeeeeee.

Eh, they put a child character in. But it seems like he is not a normal kid, so I probably won't be too annoyed.

I'm really not a fan of characters made in the style of the new protagonist, edgy with a dark past and a curse/dark power, that's far too overused for me to enjoy it, but maybe if it's handled right and brings something new to the table it might turn out good.

As for gameplay, graphics and heck, everything, it looks to be similar to Xilia and Zestiria, which is alright, they should try to improve it if they're aiming for current gen releases though.

Really forgettable album, the only thing that'll make me remember it is how one of my friends kind of lashed out at me after making me listen to it and I proceeded to call it "a crappy ARCHE rip off".
