Yea Reila is golden too. And nostalgia is big reason why I get the feels. I first heard Cassis during my initial introduction to VK, so it's gonna have it's special place forever I guess. For some reason I never heard Reila back in the day

yeah true! I've already met few cool people there in a short time. I just had the image of it as a meat market of sorts, but my target audience isn't really those kind of people.

Sure it's relative, but I don't see big harm in getting drunk or high or something, unless we start talking about some stronger substances, where crimes are big part of the culture and how in general crackheads are scary.
 
My drunken banter mostly hurts me afterwards lol, but then again that train went long time ago already. There's not much harm I can do to my "reputation" at this point anymore.

Altho lately, I've liked dancing more and more and I'm a piss poor dancer if I'm drunk. I hate it. I can only do that stuff when more or less sober.

haha, nah I agree. When people are wasted, there's not much intelligent conversations to be had... or maybe some unique philosophical talks ..? well that's besides the point, but more importantly when I go drinking with people, I don't actually aim for getting drunk. That's not the end goal for the evening, I go out to meet people and talk with them. drunkness just sometimes happens depending on the company.
 
I've also lived in a commune where no one drank any alcohol and we had the greatest parties there too, so I definitely don't think you can't have fun without alcohol. But variety is good. sometimes drinking with people can be more fun.
