I don't get the hate for the look o_O They had a little similar look a while back, with koichi having some toy uzis and such if anyone remembers.. Anyways I like the look, but I'm startng to feel like a pathetic fanboy with everyone else hating them

I felt that mejibray was getting stale with 420 theatrical roses already (apart from few cool songs) but since then they've done more interesting stuff and I've really liked stuff like eiki and secret no 3 (which seems to be disliked here lol) i like this new song as well, it's got some new elements and the members seem to be playing to their strengths.

Nice! i liked it more than I expected. Nothing new really, but that intro riff with meto and koichi joining in sounds amazing

There was a time when I would have paid anything to see these guys live. Now I don't really care all that much. Lucky me, as otherwise I would have extra tickets for a flight to London for no reason. I remember back in '08 (or '07?) when they got back together I was already preparing for a trip to Paris to see them, but even that shit got postponed for like 4 years or something lol I love hide and Taiji, but otherwise X are really testing the limits of my fandom

The singer had such an unique look before with the black teeth and all. Not anymore I guess. Still excited as hell. The look is classy too, just not what I expected

I like the look. I just watched some deg history video and remembered how much I liked them before Kyo started doing his superlowdemongrowls and highpitchedangelchoir things. I kinda wish their return to more visual stuff would translate to their new music as well, even though I know that's not gonna happen.

yeaa AvelCain's ballads are really great!! I usually feel like many VK bands, and other bands around the world too really, make ballads just for the sake of having them in their setlist, but that's not the case with these guys. Karma is really able to put a lot of emotion into their songs. 揺り籠 is my favourite song of them and I get chills every time I listen to it. EDIT: oh, I read your post again yakihiko... I guess MOON and 夜光虫 got pretty unique sound as far as their ballads go and can't think of others alike, but still you should give their other songs a chance too!

Wow talk about coincidence, I just started listening to them today. They seem to have some cool songs, even though it's not really my kind of a band

I also remember hearing playback in some MEJ live Imo big part of MEJ is in the individuals that make up the band. You can hear everyone clearly on every track and they bring something relevant to their songs. It also helps that they got big presence in promo material and live (minus MiA, he's kinda boring) Honestly I haven't been this interested in all members of the band since the days of fanboying X-Japan like 15 years ago..

I think dadaism#2 is alright. ハイアンドロー is really cool and 「ルシッド・ドリーム」 is the another standout track even though it's not the most original piece. The rest didn't make me really feel much. I'm suprised how the new morphine song turned out to be, as #1 and 2 were more jazzy songs. Ars amatoria loses to those previous morphine songs in jazzcore genre. It's good continuation from #1, pretty much more of the same, but since they got such a small discography so far, that's pretty much what I wanted (:

I got my ticket for the Helsinki gig, yay! I believe last time the Gazette came here I was still able to get tickets like few weeks before the show, so I guess there're not so many diehardfans around Finland.

Reading through older posts... I'm surprised people rate IMAGE so high, I thought I was alone with loving that album. In general I greatly prefer older LS. After IMAGE they shifted to more mainstream stuff imo. Ryuichi's more raw voice and darker vibe were really cool back then. Besides LUNA SEA(original album) and IMAGE i only really like SHINE which I think has this thick cohesive sound throughout the whole album that's sort of sad and melancholic.

Oh yea, you're right. On a first glance I thought i saw more DSS material, that would've been the most surprising, but now I see there's only few songs... I'm glad I see Yokan there. It's become one of my favourite songs of theirs recently, after over decade of listening it : D

I'm surprised how well post-tMoaB material is present here. I'd imagine VK scenes appreciating earlier stuff more.

I agree that MiA is the coolest guitarist VK has atm with his material alone already. His solos are the thing that got me into Mejibray in the first place. But compared to his band mates, he got the smallest presence. He just sort of is there in every live and PV but doesn't stand out in any way. Having said that, I wouldn't want any other guitarist in mejibray in a million years. Koichi and Tsuzuku already got more than enough presence for one band and dunno if it would become a power struggle of sorts if everyone was trying to steal the spotlight. MiA's got his own prince-thing going on and he let's his talent speak for himself

: D i'm liking meto's look!... And Koichi's... I've grown an unhealthy proportion fandom over Koichi for past few weeks. Anyways these are great news, i was just wondering yesterday when these guys gonna release new material. I hope it's a little bit different from VENOMS.app. Not that there was anything especially wrong with VENOMS, but I feel like it was a bit too safe and getting stale imo.

It sounded pretty decent, but then vocals started i used to be really into this era music, but even then I wouldn't have liked the singer.

I've now been listening them past week and they're definitely one of the more interesting bands atm. They got pretty traditional VK sound but still manage to sound really fresh. Vocals especially are real great. I need to check that SHEDIA too

I got a newfound love for these guys, so I'm really glad with this busy release schedule : ) Dogma and Ugly have been awesome
