What happened to Karasu?
-
MUCC, a three month break isn’t a hiatus, you doofuses.
-
Wait, why is Ken covering that awful Korn song?
-
Soushin no Koe would have been good for Kyo as well.
-
They’re still working with those 8 strings huh.
-
Oh hey it’s that chorus that Jin likes.
-
To be fair though, this sort of thing is kind of encouraged. Japan’s music industry doesn’t look down on songs sounding similar to others the way the western music industry does. I mean, let’s be honest, if Japan was like the US, Sadie would have been in deep shit after Madrigal de Maria.
-
And Mao being inspired by Kyo doesn’t give him carte blanche to literally rip the dude off every other minute. There’s a difference between being inspired by DEG Songs and just writing DEG songs again and calling them something else.
-
Right? It's almost like this is some sort of Internet forum where people click on threads and leave comments.
-
The hell is up with his name? What is that?
-
I don't find it offensive, but I dont think it's artistic either. Just looks like an overly edgy reference to Aokigahara, so it comes across as tacky to me.
-
You're kidding me right?

Tension seemed really high during the DSS era. Not sure if it was because of the atmosphere surrounding Japan post-tsunami or if it was just the band getting tired of each other. Considering they barely even worked together in the same room during the recording of DSS, my guess is the latter? The absence of not playing the songs together as a band as they were writing them became really obvious once they toured behind the album. None of that shit was written with live performances in mind, hence why most DSS material doesn't work when played live.

I want a Miyaviuta -Dokusou- vol. 2 fuck this shit.
-
Well yeah, but I look at all these English titles and I'm just... bored already. I also had a problem with Marrow of a Bone having 90% English titles in all caps. That's so obnoxious.
-
I always feel like it's a sign of... something when a band that used to have nothing but Japanese song titles starts using English. MUCC did this as well.
-
They needed something to wake up the audience.
-
I seem to recall the It Withers and Withers tour being lazy as well. Probably because it's a fucking lazy album.
-
Surprised they haven't worked in Cause of Fickleness, because that song is Withering to death as fuck.
-
I'm saying though, Die's Cipher worship isn't a secret. The original version doesn't sound too far off from DEG's recent material anyway. They kind of played it safe.
-
I think everyone is perfectly clear on what the concept of a cover album is.
-
Those Crush compilations are another example of covers that were mostly sterile versions of the originals, though Merry's cover of Schwein no Isu was okay. But yeah, I don't expect a cover to be exactly the same as the original, I just want it to sound like the band gave a shit when they recorded it.
