I'd love to do something like this. Assuming, it means we'd be allowed to sing in whatever language we speak native.

Perhaps call me extremely biased but I feel Nightmare has stayed very relevant for the last several years for me. Every album since the self-titled has just felt like hit after hit. Each has its own experimentations and differences but compared to some other releases, I've been very satisfied with their work. I'm just happy they're still releasing an album each year with all their side projects like Ruka with The Legendary Six Nine, Hitsugi and Gremlins. Heck, even their parody band Sendai Komatsu has been productive in recent years. I mean, for a band that's been around a long time and is touring constantly, I think they're more than exceeding my expectations. They have avoided completely selling out their sound and doing a 180 musically unlike a few long term visual kei bands I could mention. Nightmare has always been a little diverse, as they can efficiently make a jazzy b-side and not completely dispell their 'nightmare' presence, kinda like Mucc has managed to do with all their sounds. I know this is all just my own opinion but this is why I look forward to anything nightmare comes out with from here. Also, I love Yomi's vocals, I like that some of the newer songs, he sang in his natural vocal range, without using his 'visual kei' styled vibrato that we hear every other VK band imitate. Call me weird, but I actually like different vocal styles in VK bands.

I wonder what the next character I cosplay should be. something not too overly complex and/or expensive but doable. hmm.... this is hard...

Right? I was so excited after listening to their latest album, then when my bf told me that they disbanded, I was like "Noooo.." I mean, I'm happy that the singer is now part of a new band, but it might not necessarily be the same. I'll nonetheless support it from the sidelines. But yes, jrock music is so amazing. I have been discovering a bunch of new bands recently and it seriously just blows my mind how good they are.

You want to find out if someone's gay? How about asking them? From what I can tell, how a guy dresses or what kind of idols he admires (I have prior experience with a straight boyfriend who had lots of man crushes on visual kei band members) don't determine if someone is gay. All those things are stereotyping and it doesn't really determine anything, especially since there are two types of gay men. There's the kind who don't make it apparent in any social context and there are those who are flamboyant and effeminate.

Hello! My name is Jessica and I recently made this account after a long time user of this site recommended for me to get one, as I'm a huge fan of Visual Kei and Japanese music as a whole. I like writing, singing, and anything to do with anime/manga. Some of my favorite bands are Nightmare, Mucc, Velvet Eden, the KIDDIE, Jupiter, Kamijo, and a lot of others. I'm excited to get started posting! I look forward to becoming a member of this community. Thanks!
