suji reacted to inartistic in The OFFICIAL RPDR Discussion Thread
LOL I can sorta see it
One thing about Bob, she definitely does her homework. Like she is in on all the podcasts, Reddit, etc.--I really appreciate that. Who do you want to win? (as of now)

suji reacted to inartistic in ex-BLACK CAT Dr.SHINTARO has been arrested & fired
Doesn't this supposedly happen all the time among VK guys? I wonder what this dude did to get caught and/or piss off the girls enough that they reported him
I hope the other AIOLOST members didn't have big plans for the band, lol

suji reacted to hiroki in 真new(manew)(ex-The♡Valentine.) has been arrested
yup so either he tried to run a host club without having a host club permit (he advertizes his place as a "visual kei bar with a lot of hot guys"), or he tried to do something more than a host club (but which is still "legal" with the appropriate clearances) while only having a host club permit. it's not entirely clear from the report lol.

suji reacted to hiroki in 真new(manew)(ex-The♡Valentine.) has been arrested
some "clarifications" before the entire vk scene is sitting invisibly beside shintaro and manew in the defendant's dock...
according to the actual news report, there was no underage sex involved (or, at least, no explicit mention of it). if there had been, the charge would be a different and much more serious one. the alleged charge is that he asked his employee to entertain "female customers" without having the license to engage in "fuuzoku" business - an umbrella term which in the context of Japan can mean a whole range of "services" from entertaining girls (which is basically what host clubs do), various kinds of shady massage parlors and dance halls, to outright provision of "legal" types of sexual services - all of which governed by strict regulations.

suji reacted to inartistic in [OFFER] LIN web shop shopping service
LIN recently put new, rare items at their web shop, and I'm ordering a sort of shopping service to help anyone buy them.
If you want to order the new bootleg DVDs or photosets, let me know, and I'll add those items to my own order. I'll pay the shopping service fee + shipping from Japan to the service + shipping from the service to USA. All you have to pay is shipping from USA to your house (+ cost of the item, of course). All I ask in return is that you share a rip/scan at weloveucp.com.
So hopefully you'll save some money and I'll get to see some of the bootleg lives that I can't afford on my own
Here's a list of bootleg live DVDs that no one's purchased yet (and a more complete list of items here). If you'd like to take me up on the offer, just comment below or send me a message. I'll be ordering in the next couple of days, so decide quickly♪

Oh, I remember this. Back in the day I thought those were space capsules and Kyo was leaving us for a more trve planet.
One of my biggest wtf moments was MUCC getting two new band members for what felt like 3 minutes before they were like "lol jk".

suji reacted to doombox in Official Music Hate Thread
The modern VK copy-pasta formula song writing. Heavy verse, melodic chorus, heavy verse, breakdown, bridge, rinse, repeat. I know 90 percent of these new shitty kei flavor-of-the-week bands are just learning how to write songs but for fuck's sake try something new.

suji reacted to Peace Heavy mk II in The Biggest WTF moments In Jrock
So, about point 1: it could be they found the second group is more aligned with their interests, is doing much better, or maybe has a live performance schedule that fits their lifestyle better (maybe they can't really be on tour very often for family reasons?). It seems like the visual-kei scene, at least, is a group of people where everyone basically knows everyone else so it might not be too difficult to find another group of 3 or 4 guys who want to play bad music for teenagers together.
For point 2, a lot of these cases are due to label restrictions or blatant member disagreements. La:Sadie's -> Dir en grey / Sinceria -> Fest Vanquer / Valluna -> Diaura / Lagna -> DESCRIBE -> GARDEN / Call Me -> Pentagon, etc
Sometimes it is for rebranding, other times they can't continue making music unless they become a "different band."
I'm not sure how it works for -AINS- though, because they seem to take bands and have a total rebranding / image / concept / sound change clause in their contracts.

suji reacted to Lestat in A farewell.
After due consideration, I have decided to end my public posting activities on Monochrome Heaven.
Some might already be aware of my quiet departure, and I initially did not desire to place an open announcement on the forum as it would —so to speak— mean I am giving in to the defeat of feeling undesired, but after two weeks of relief in my absence I have come to the conclusion that I am holding myself back if I were to remain affected by certain unpleasantries that have surfaced around my activity, and prefer to end matters on an 'official' note. A chain of events that occured on another platform but did include certain individuals who are also active on here made me realize that perhaps with my ideals, views, personal opinions and methods of conducting myself in a social area, this is not the correct environment for me. I feel as if I have overstayed my welcome and with that in mind (a mind that is commonly overthinking every possible given situation), I feel as if it is more beneficial for me and my fellow forum-members were I to withdraw.
I wish I could have offered more to this forum or participated in its activities more often. That I could have offered a more pleasant voice to interact with. It was a great wish of mine to be included on the review team as writing is one of my greatest passions (especially when it is tied to music), but I have also realized that writing is one of my greatest flaws — its style and complexity leaving me unable to move past certain barriers and walls I have constructed around myself, thus disabling me from joining that part of the community.
Naturally, I have made good friends and pleasant acquaintances on here, as well as crossed people I have no desire of witnessing ever again. I suppose that is the case in every community or social group. Perhaps my sensitivity to 'trolling' and 'shit-posting' has gotten to the better part of me. I feel as if I have reached a point where I need to withdraw completely were I to be able and overlook those things without feeling as if something were to be ripped from within me. I reckon that thinking about my own mental health comes first of all. It's simply not fun anymore if every little remark upsets, or sends one into a melt-down.
There is no other community online that gives such a great voice to Visual Kei and other Japanese music as Monochrome Heaven, and it will be difficult to no longer actively participate in conversation about this music, because frankly — no other place believes in it with such passion.
I want to thank everyone who did eventually welcome me, who made me laugh and made me feel like I truly had a voice on here. My inbox remains open if any of you ever wants to strike up conversation. And some of you know where else to find me.
All the best, and au revoir.
Lestat.

suji reacted to Takadanobabaalien in 黒百合と影(kuroyuri to kage) Gt.こよみ-koyomi- & Dr.夢月-mutsuki- will depart & retire
This abrupt message really makes me think if Yukika had something to do with Koyomi and Mutsuki leaving? Maybe there's been drama behind the scenes that we can't see?
