its so FUCKING LOVELY

i saw a tumblr post addressing this recently as a lot of the fandom are converting their visual blogs to kpop ones. the point they brought up was that its a shame to go from a subculture with so much fun and individuality to a genre with one set ideal of beauty, talent and composition. its fucking true--where else you find bands like buglug, keel, DIV, pentagon, avelcain, DADAROMA, DOF, grieva, gazette and MORE basically all operating under the same label of "visual kei" but with incredible differences in sound and image? from metal to pop to alt rock to jazz to dance rock/electronic its all represented in the current scene. from what i understand, kpop isn't all one genre but its nowhere near the level you see in visual kei. in that respect its hard to compare the two, but either way its sad to see ex-visual fans become huge kpop stans where all the boys and girls look, dress, rap and sing the same with the same cute squeaky clean image. like come on, raise ur freak flag with pride go look like a visual idiot its better than being like allllllll the rest of 'em

i've been keeping my eye on this for the past two years but i havent ever been able to attend since they're at 19+ venue and while the event falls a few days short of my 19th, the first venue is all ages ^.^ hells yeah

maybe the new KTK lineup is gonna hit the studio immediately instead of touring for like a month or so?!?! but y'all right, their absence is odd. then again they're all playing with smaller bands maybe ains thought ktk were too relevant for these events? or maybe their new additions are gonna catapult them to diaura level fame #conspiracytheory

all my favs got like 0 mentions (in no order--well except mako) mako (deadman) - i cant describe his voice, its so amazing technically but also has such an imperfect quality; he's dearly missed temari (amber gris) - another deep voice, super emotive. his falsetto & vibrato is beautiful, although he sounds strained at his higher register--which i find totally endearing. i thought his early vox for ruvie were awful though, he's grown a lot kyo - theres nothing to say that hasn't been said, he's fucking astounding hitomi (moran) - really lovely voice, kinda husky--quite sexy, reminds me of a vk crooner if anything raya (angrayse, l'eprica) - fucking underrated, i cant find much else to say than beautiful, im also fucking in love with his falsetto ryo (9GBO, KEEL) - a very, very nasal angel's voice with a demon's growl to match it hizumi (d'espairsray) - hizumi's voice is nothing special, but its so powerful when he's singing softly and growling with rage--it never loses its power daisuke (kagerou) - he can be softly emotive, yelping in pain or growling and just sounding fucking insane and every style works insanely well for him. greatly missed sou (emmuree) - the first time i heard him i forgot i was listening to vk, he doesnt sing he belts it out and envelops the whole song with his powerful voice loki (sugar) - his voice is like butter to me, a very dramatic stick of butter satsuki (RES) - an angel for sure, his high notes are my favs honourable mentions: ruki, kazuma (HFP), kaya, hiro (gossip), yuina (lamiel), hazuki (lynch.), jin (TBS), yuuki (unsraw)

im not gonna troll this time but keep in mind that tanuki is a gossip forum thats really hard to navigate properly without the slang/know-how and that you should take everything with a grain of salt anyone can lie over the net..but if a bandomen has like 3 topics dedicated to scummy behaviour it doesn't mean they're all lies. use your judgment and a healthy dose of skepticism.

thanks for your opinion but what is the relevance of any of this to your maturity? good for u for not freaking out, next time i should clarify that again these are my emotions, that this is a web forum, that i have a sense of humour and that i genuinely dont care what anyone thinks about me or dir en grey. once again, thank you for sharing your completely unrelated opinion, which your really seem to do a lot of on here, and enjoy sipping your tea on your soapbox over this news while i whip out my emoticons in my kyo cosplay next time ^>^ FOR THE GODDAMN SAKE OF STAYING ON TOPIC: im (like everyone else) confused as to why they wanted to revist DSS, im one of the few here who loves the album and their live performances in the DSS era were quite rocky. maybe shinya felt the sudden need to turn up his technique, if so i'd like to thank not only god but jesus too. in hindsight, i feel like arche's creation was spawned by dissatisfation with the tech-deathcore and heavy studio effects of DSS which is why they went back to their "roots". but who really knows whats going through their heads, im just excited cuz the japanese fans get to hear mushi and undecided again for the kisou tour, DIABOLOS + lotus for the DSS tour and audience killer loop and amber for the vulgar tour /creys cuz im not in japan.
