  1. With some of these new bands coming out, I'm feeling a lot better about this current gen of VK.

  2. I am pleasantly surprised by this. I love Sadie, but BORN was always just 'meh' to me. The composition here is better than most BORN songs and Ryouga's voice is doing some nice stuff I haven't heard before \m/

Interesting, on the discography page of the updated site it lists singles and album, etc. sections and says 'coming soon'. I wonder if that means anything.
  4. Oh my god, so many new tracks. I can't even handle this. Good way to take my mind off the election LOL. Also:

That's how they sell you the regular edition! Make the album art way better. I guess we get 3 PVs per limited edition then?
  6. I guess it's all a matter of personal taste but I just can't do the deviloof thing.

  7. Yeah, I agree with the majority here. This one's pretty weak – Still enjoyable, with "hints" of old DEZERT, but it's lost its edge (And visuals?) Great cat though.

GOOSEBUMPS, FUCK. Such a short, shoegazing teaser like that makes me think it's all going to sounds like this ~ <3

I like what I see and what I hear. Nice mix of heaviness and smooth vocals, catchy chorus – I'm sold. I guess this means we're that much further away from a DEATHGAZE comeback (in the foreseeable future anyway), but AI's shit is basically DEATHGAZE, so I'm good.
  10. UNF that album artwork. I'd kill to go to one of their lives.
  11. Holy fuck, never gave Matenrou Opera much of a chance before but this new mini is killing it. Is all their shit this good?

Is that new is that good?!

      Count me curious!

Yeah they've always been this good, and no they've been active all along.

I remember trying them out in 2007-ish and I was like 'This is okay, but it's no VERSAILLES hurdurdur'. Now I feel like they offer a completely different experience (and maybe I'm a little more seasoned). MASK is so good, damn.

    That must've been incredible.
  13. uhhhh, can someone please acknowledge the awesomeness that is this album title. (Also, guess this means REDMAN's finished for good?)

Loving that cover. Ew to the look though D:

Does anyone know the difference between versions? So ready to order mine but I'm not a multiple-copy kind of guy.
  16. zombieparadise

Man, can't find anything on this band anywhere D: Pure shoegazing bliss.
  17. zombieparadise

dafuq. Can this just go somewhere please.

Made my day! Can't wait to hear what this sounds like.

Man, this is bringing back some nice feels from when I first got into VK. Glad to hear some good news for once!

This makes me really sad. Everyone's right – 11 years is spectacular for this scene, and I really wish they could've made it bigger than they did. Sel'm kept getting better and better and their new releases had a lot of kick to them (especially that last album!) It'll be sad to see a great band like this go, although it makes sense.

Interesting. I wonder if we'll have ever know what happened.
  22. Haha I knew this would be out this year! It's been 2.5 years since Human ~ I cannot WAIT for this (I'd also fucking kill to go that Christmas dinner/acoustic mashup >":)

I agree. Honestly, the bands I follow are the bands I follow because they're consistent in their sound. When I like a band, I like them because they 'do that thing that they do' - lynch. is a good example of sticking to that 'thing that they do' - creating heavy, catchy tracks - And they know that's why their fan base likes them. But there's only so much you can do without experimenting too much and losing your core sound, so many songs end up having a similar feel. Whereas (I feel) a band like girugamesh never really found their sound between albums, lynch. has known what they are since IBIM (Or maybe even SHADOWZ) and it's worked well enough for them to achieve their success so far. People know what they're getting with a new lynch. album: More 'lynch.', not something else.

I am perfectly content with this. That breakdown completely threw me off guard.

I really appreciated this review, good work! I came into DIV through this album, so it's really nostalgic for me - But I think as a whole, even if it's made up of (mostly) singles, I like the songs on SECRET more. ZERO ONE is definitely more cohesive though. DIV was one of the few bands these days I was actually excited for new releases from. I'm really going to miss them 0:
