clear1985 got a reaction from Demonokun in I will miss her so much...
Well, as the title indicates, I asked a Chinese girl out...

    And she instantly replied "NO".

It's OK. Been rejected numerous times. Who cares.

But, even after that, she was still nice to me, so I asked her out again.

Seems she got angry this time. She told me "Don't ever ask me that again!"

Well, in my head, just WHY? I don't see the reason why she acted like that.

Now she doesn't even talk to me.

It should be a compliment that she was asked out on a date, right?

It this a Chinese thing or something?

    Thanks.

didnt it happen in Germany? I remember Rammstein had some song (Mein Teil, not sure if its writting like that) about something similar and even in live shows they made a representation with the singer cooking the keyboards guy   .

I think the disturbing thing about Issei Sagawa was the fact that he became kind of a "celebrity"

But probably we all have our share of ****** crazy people...I remember the Fritzl case a few years ago...or the 3 girls kidnapped for many years too in the US that was discovered 1-2 years ago...maybe they werent killed but the sickness of those guy kind of matched those from the OP.

Having said that...since I live in China (like 6 years) i think the number of this kind of people and situations are higher here that in other places in the world...cases like those almost happen every month

Like everyone else said, such people exist everywhere. I remember hearing about a man volunteering to be eaten by someone else and they ate the man's penis together, or something like that xD. I think it was in Europe, but I don't remember where XD.

I would say that is not just about visual kei stuff, just when it comes to cultural stuff (i guess with anime, manga and related stuff) is like they dont care about the rest of the world. For example, many dvds of movies are released without any kind of subtitles or if they have subtitle just the japanese ones, while on the other hand you have the korean example that subtitle almost every single movie, even the collections of movies from the 50-60 they release ,had subtitles. Seems like it doesn't matter to then not sell a single cd, dvd etc. outside of Japan, For the rest, I kind of agree in everything.

    PS.
the OP is true...he is not like what u would expect of  the typical japanese guy

Not a fan of Japan's work culture. When you work overtime, it is expected of you and from what I've heard you usually don't get paid for that overtime. No wonder why many Japanese men and women die of being overworked. If you work overtime in my country, by law you have to be paid double for every hour you work over 40 hours or something like that. It's illegal to not be paid overtime. And that should be the same in Japan.

I was going to mention exactly the same thing as the person above, because I heard about it as well. It's not good to neglect such people, because they may just take meds and be valuable members of the society. Many of them are just normal people, but with an illness (the ones with depression and personality disorders, some people with schizophrenia).

Another thing I thought of, is the drinking culture. I heard that it's common to get drunk after work with co-workers. I'm very anti alcohol abuse, so this is something I really dislike. Basically, it's acceptable in my country to get drunk only on the weekends. When someone has a job and drinks too much on the weekdays, it's rather being frowned at. There are people who do this, but it isn't acceptable and they do it for their own responsibility (they may get fired easily for this). When you go to work hungover, it's a bad thing. If you drink anything during weekdays, you're supposed to control yourself and not drink too much. That's why I don't like what I heard about drinking culture in Japan. To the ones interested in the topic, I found something about it: http://thisjapaneselife.org/2012/05/09/on-drinking-too-much-in-japan/

I also dislike the way the visual kei music market works in Japan. This may not affect people inside of Japan, because they have everything easily available, but rather foreigners. The visual kei music market is very closed, many bands sell their CDs and merchandise exclusively to people who come to their lives, or only in shops that don't ship overseas (which increases the downloads as well). I saw many small bands in Europe/US selling their CDs both in their country and abroad. They welcome fans from all over the world with their arms widely open and don't have a problem with shipping their CDs to another country, but Japanese bands aren't that welcoming. They're focused only on Japanese people (I've never seen the official band's webshop sending their stuff abroad, people have to use shopping service and that costs even more, than buying just the CDs, whose prices are already high for foreign people) and sometimes I feel like I'm the worse kind of a fan. My taste in music and heart tells me to stay, but logic tells me to go away, because I'm not in Japan, so I don't matter. Japan tends to be sheltered, like you already said, clear. It's difficult to understand.

First of all, 'aint nobody got time to copy and paste those links....
Second of all, yes, those people exist everywhere, always have, always will.
Japan have a much smaller amount of violent and criminal activites than many other countries.
One of the only figures Japan is high in is being around tenth in suicide rates.
Not to downplay how heinous those acts are that are listed in OP, but you have countries like South Africa where half of all women are raped in their lifetime. Think about it, if you have two female friends, or a sister and a mother, chances are one of them will be raped at least once in their lifetime.
One thing about Native Japanese is that they often think issues in Japan are some unique problem owed to their culture, while they are actually blessed to live in Japan where those problems are much fewer, and I guess they are lucky to have that innocence where these a ts are not so common to them.
Btw, compare a Japanese newspaper to one from the States. Some big papers still report such catastrophes as an old lady falling down a hill in Nagoya.

I remember watching an hour long documentary on Sagawa Issei and what I found interesting was that sorta the whole starting point of his fancy of eating female body parts started from his mother pretty much telling him that masturbation and all sorts is dirty and awful and whatnot, so Sagawa never got to experience normal, healthy sexuality.

One thing that seems to affect the high suicide rates in Japan is, what I've heard, that mental illnesses are a taboo. Seems like whenever you're depressed or schizophrenic or whatever your mindbug is, in Japan you'll end up having no one to talk to and along with the illness itself, you bear a shame of having the illness at all. Heck, I'd kill myself if that was the case.

But then again, I live in a country where doctors easily prescribe meds and actually having a professional to talk to is so expensive that most people will just take the pills to tolerate the everyday life.

So, you can handle three languages? That's awesome. LOL Me, not possible anytime soon.

BTW, what I've posted on other threads may have been a bit too provocative, but I'm just an honest guy. No offense to you, plus, like I posted, I don't hate the Chinese. I don't read manga for months now, but there's a list of mangas I like:
Gantz (that ending was disappointing, but the whole manga was badass at least XD)
Bleach (I kinda have a emotional connection with it)
    Naruto (same as Bleach)
One Piece (actually I only read some volumes of it, I prefer the anime)
Pokémon Adventures (I love Pokémon, and this manga is just perfect till the Silver/Gold/Crystal saga ends)
Dragon Ball (a classic, I started reading it cause a publisher in country is publishing it again. Unfortunately I didn't buy some edition and now I'm stuck with my reading since I don't like online reading anymore... But I'm gonna buy the editions I don't have XD)
Toriko (dude that is insane, I like it)
High School of the Dead (just because I liked the anime and now the Full Color Edition is being published here)
Fairy Tail (so much feels dude)
Air Gear (I still gotta read it to the end, the art is just badass)
Astral Project (the time I read it, was a great thing for me)
    Bakuman (fucking loved it)

Maybe there are other mangas I like but I don't remember now.
