What exactly is a mini-album? Is it basically just an EP with a concept?

Agreed, if a single is just the same thing as what's on the album, I don't feel there's any point buying the single. But if it's a single totally separate from any album, maybe with a cool b-side, THEN I like it.

Well said, I suppose the primary issue is frequency. Maybe it would be best if the artist were to establish some sort of consistent release schedule, like the Guano Apes' 1-album-every-3-years thing. Kinda nice knowing what to expect like that. I agree about singles being too frequent, there's too much to buy. That's another reason there that I like the EP overall more than singles, but if it is a single, I really really prefer it to have a B-side or an instrumental version (especially if its a pretty song)

Hello! Just doing a bit of research I'm asking this because growing up, I preferred the album. However, as the industry has changed, I've grown to like the EP and the single much more than I used to. I like it when artists will release a few singles or EPs more frequently, rather than a new full-length every few years. For example, I can count on GACKT releasing a couple of singles each year. I like it, I know he's active. I keep up with him. Goldfinger (i know, not VK music) has released something like 1 new single in the last 6 years. I love Goldfinger, but I kinda forget about them for a while, and then think "geeze, I wonder if Goldfinger has released anything new" - and they haven't. So my vote is now for either single or EP. What about you?

I'm kinda a regular around here. Some of you at least know me on here No I'm not Japanese and I'm not exactly VK, but my music is influenced by it. Why the weird headline? I'll be straight up with you, I'm a little burned out. I need a vacation. And I'm tired of sending out the same old "Vitne releases new single! blah blah blah" headline. Anyway, December 10th I released my new single (plus the instrumental), a wintery wonderland rock ballad with beautiful artwork hand-drawn by Korean artist IF LEE. I'm very impressed by this album. I'm a semi-Versailles fan, and I like the Jupiter album, but you pretty much nailed it how Kamijo has more charisma and character. Its true! I dig how this album feels like a Castlevania soundtrack Very happy with Kamijo

What would you all say is Matenrou Opera's definitive album? Like, if you were to convert a non-fan to a fan, what album would you show them? I've only heard their "Indies" collection, which is alright, but I feel there is more that I'm missing.

"poop" is really nicely done, there's some cool layering in there, maybe because of it being drawn on a tablet or something, but whatever the case great job!

I don't think I replied to this thread...if I did, whoops! I've never been big into horror movies, but one really stuck with me. Event Horizon is awesome! If you like space stuff and horror, you'll dig it. Its almost like the creators of Dead Space must have been watching that when they came up with their game idea.

I'm nothing close to the gamer I used to be. I've still got a number of old consoles as I used to collect them, but I sold many since I was moving to Europe and NTSC and PAL don't get along. 2 consoles I'm proud to own and will never sell are the 3DO and Atari Jaguar. I love 'em The current gen. I have is Xbox One, PS Vita, and Wii U. I play here and there, but I'd say I use my Vita most, followed by Xbox One.

I'm considering getting Killer Instinct on Xbox One I had Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for Wii U for a bit...not anymore but I've really been wanting to play Tekken again, lol.

I like the song, but whoever said it is right, its kinda the same. And It reminds me of the look from Hakuro. My favorite of his more recent singles is White Lovers.
