  1. Rofl this discussion needs to stop.

    We'll work on implementing the thanks system into the other themes we have, but I really don't see us adding this specific feature to the board. It is kinda pointless (no offense). But that's not to say you can't give a user thanks for something they have uploaded.

    Really, the whole point of the thanks mod is to get rid of (or minimize) the small posts where users simply say thanks in their posts for downloading something.

  2. Yeah we're a bunch of smug coffee drinking turtle neck wearing liberal hipsters lololololol. Apparently though we 'freeze' people but I just became aware of the 'Seattle freeze'. I'm not a tranplant so I don't know if I've been doing it subconsciously to people for years LOL. Bellevue is on the Eastside across the lake and I'm not really that familiar with many of the Seattle neighbourhoods actually, once out of the downtown core I get a little lost. So I don't really know much about Fremont (except the troll) but they're putting fences on the Aurora bridge to stop jumpers.

    Yeah D; the construction work for the fences kept me up at night (condos literally right next to the bridge), and the troll is not even a block up from the condo either.

    As far as I could tell, Fremont was the land of the hippies. Organic food stores everywhere, people smoking hemp/what have it, and peace signs everywhere.

    Coffee drinking... 8D always a good trait to have. I practically lived at Starbucks when I was there.

  3. Bellevue.. that sounds really familiar. I may have gone through it once or twice when I was last there (in Seattle).

    I was in the Fremont area. Grandparents have a condo right next to the aurora bridge, so we get all the front row seats when there's a jumper on the bridge 8D D; sad.

    Other than that, compared to somewhere like New York, Seattle is heaven o-o; people aren't rude there at all. And they actually stop for pedestrians crossing the street o: In NY, the drivers speed up and lay on their horns at anyone trying to cross the street in front of them.

    But rofl, I wish I could camp out somewhere and catch a glimpse of these guys walking around xD hopefully they're still doing it in a couple of months when manda and I will be up there 8D;

  4. That first picture I had to turn into a link xDD too horrible to leave up for anyone randomly venturing in here to see. Can click it if you want to see some horrible hair.

    ...

    Derp!

    And with that, I shall leave everyone here with a picture of me + manda's awesome hair skillz. Hopefully it makes up for the horrible one of me 8D;

  5. ROFL.

    This is sad, but I did the same exact thing with my 500GB external.

    Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do to recover the data at a low cost :/ (as you've already found out)

    It sucks ;;

    Only good thing I got out of it was I was able to upgrade to a 2TB external.

    EDIT: and since it was running when it fell, there's a chance the read-arm bounced around inside the hard drive, nicking the actual hard drive disc. If thats the case, there is no way you can have (all) your data restored.

    And don't try opening the actual hard drive casing :x they're made to be air-tight. If you expose the disc to air, you'll be in bad shape.

  6. No, he wasnt serious about either the mod or VIP posts. The last few weeks or so he was just pushing buttons and being more of an ass just to see our reaction.

    Well, he got that. In the form of me banning him. Then he uses a proxy to make two other accounts, this one that he used to post his "manifesto" and another that he tried using to pass of as just some random new user (that manda noticed, just so happened to make their first post in the LOTUS Dir en grey thread after making their introduction).

  7. Yup, just shows the number of visitors that have visited at least one time.

    EDIT:

    And ah, sorry, those stats were just from the last few weeks or so. Here's the visitor stats from when the forum first came online on our server:
