Kaye 296 Posted May 3, 2011 There's (most likely) already a thread like this one around, but I'm trying it again anyway. For an article on Korean Rock music (not your typical FTisland/CNBlue stuff), I'm searching for relevant Korean rock groups who actually make their own music. If possible a link to a little bit of information and a youtube link would be helpful! Thanks!
Jigsaw9 6783 Posted May 3, 2011 I recommend the group I linked in the other K-music thread, Huckleberry Finn. Don't know anything about them, except that they play alternative/garage rock, and are awesome. Here's a song: diLUNNFT0O8 Don't know if they're still around or what. The stuff I have of them is a few years old.
flikflak 41 Posted May 3, 2011 Althought I don't have any informations about those guys and they only released one ep, here's a pretty good band from the early 2000s : Tabu UMRKgWYUp4s.The guy has a channel full of alt rock/folk indie artists from Korea, I'm sure you'll find what you want and more on there
LIDL 692 Posted May 4, 2011 애쉬 (Ash) -u4l2kDwNT0 This band needs some more recognition, srsly. Too underrated, they're good actually. "The 3 phases of love lost" or in hangul "사랑?? 잃는 세 가지 단계"is one good album. Their genre is hybird punk, punk but mixed with other rockish tunes. or to some people with ignorance, they will just be called playing melodic punk or alt.rock. try try try
sai 868 Posted May 4, 2011 Thank god. I hate FT Island, now THIS is decent Krock
fitear1590 2414 Posted May 4, 2011 I recommend Nemesis if you want something dramatic, with nice piano and orchestrations. I started a topic for them: viewtopic.php?f=29&t=8541

Pretsy 1343 Posted May 7, 2011 All I can suggest is only Seo Taiji his nu-metal songs sucked tho, so I can only recommend his new songs out there
evilcoconut 109 Posted May 11, 2011 I can help! I don't care for Ash, I do like Huckleberry Finn, but (most of) the bands I listen to are, I guess, nu-metal and hardcore-ish. It's hard to find good Korean music hahah. |D http://www.last.fm/music/Bulldog+Mansion funk rock http://www.last.fm/music/%EB%B2%84%EC%A6%88 eng name: BUZZ http://www.last.fm/music/Dr.+Core+911 nu-metal arguably my fave K-rock band http://www.last.fm/music/Guyz post-hardcoreish, arguably my second fave http://www.last.fm/music/%ED%94%BC%EC%95%84 (PIA) nu-metal http://www.last.fm/music/%EB%B8%8C%EB%A6%AC%EC%A6%88 (the breeze) grunge http://www.last.fm/music/Vanilla+Unity emocore?
