Favorite Japanese Female Vocalists!

Recommended Posts

Definitely Rurutia. I've never heard such perfect vocals, and her songs are the best things I've ever listened to.

Other great vocalists include Shiina Ringo, Mizuki Nana, Shikata Akiko, and Chikudate Yuki (Asobi Seksu's vocalist).

If she wouldn't sing I think I don't listen to them, she make their music more listenable :)

It's sad that a lot of female vocalist are into pop :( I listen to pop too but to me it's mostly crap :( except what I listen to ofc :D

For now it's all :D

The only female vocalists I really like are from American bands, eh. I think the only Japanese female vocalist I ever cared about was Yako from Melt-Banana. :/

There aren't really many bands with female vocalists I listen to (japanese or otherwise). And those I do it's usually not for specifically great vocalists.

But I always thought that Hajime Chitose has a beautiful voice.

^ I can't believe I forgot to mention her and KOKIA. I absolutely fell in love with her voice in "Kataritsugu Koto".

The vocalist that was in Nichika. She was amazing. Could listen to her all day. And Rurutia, Eiko Shimamiya, Mell, Kokia.

I don't listen to a lot of female vocalists, but I find those great. They all tend to do great music too.
