twitcasting.tv was so kind to upload full live-footage of Purple Stones Live on the 14th of july at americamura drop. The video quality is like shit, but the sound is quite ok. And they played パニックパニック , so it's our first chance to listen to the whole song and I'm really hyped now. It's quiet a beast live and they caught me completely off-guard with the rap part. Never imagined I would see all three of them singing on a song, haha.

Didn't post something in a long time, but I went to their free One-Man in Osaka and thought you guys could be interested in some impressions of their sound and their overall performance, since there aren't any previews yet.
 
Many melodies are peerless Shounenki-ish but with more consistency this time, whereas Shounenki suffered a lot of not finding their own trademark sound. Overall more on the heavy and rocky side. I really liked -あと少し-, -お祈り- and -策略-, which were certainly the most remarkable. The first two have that typical Shounenki-feeling and -お祈り- reminded me strongly of Weakness my Blood, but in a more balladish way and without the rap-parts. The chorus was a killer one.  -策略- was their heaviest track  and started with that bounzy riff, which appeared strongly influenced by the Gazettes Rage. Maybe their best live-song yet. On the other hand I didn't like -ナイン-, because the songs was so weak compared to the rest. Can't understand why they selected it as their first single and as last song for the live.
 
Their live-performance was surprisingly good, especially Seras vocals were better than expected. But all growls and backing vocals were from tape and that was a little bit underwhelming. Just let the things out, which you can't deliver in the live situation.

I think that they are showing an energy that they have lacked for a long time. Shou is shown wearing a black fox mask decked with Swarovski crystalsThis mask covers the vocalist face to represent the challenge of redefining visual rock. This is from the article in jpopasia so definitely go read that post. I'm happy to hear some new music from A9 and to know that they may be reinvigorated and ready to make music they always wanted to make.
The new song already shows a lot of promise and has some really nice instrumentals and Shou's voice sounds better than ever, as for DIAWOLF, it doesn't really suit my personal taste but I'm happy that they are experimenting and splitting it into two separate projects, I'm glad A9 isn't going crazy dubstep and instead is sticking with rock mixed with traditional Japanese music, it gives us fans options and I appreciate that. Sorry for the long message but just my opinion!

it is announced at vistlip live tour "Good vibes CIRCUIT II" tour final at Zepp Tokyo at 2014/07/07 that their LIVE DVD "GOOD vibes CIRCUIT II" will be released at 2014/12/24, and their new full album (title not yet finalized) will be released in 2015 spring, although details have not yet been announced

Hello everyone, I literally just signed up for Monochrome Heaven and I thought I'd go ahead and introduce myself. 
I found this website by searching for J-rock communities by the way.
I'm a pretty easy going person, go with the flow, quiet most of the time but I'll give my thoughts here and there.
 
From the Japanese music scene I mainly listen to the following bands but I'm looking to widen my band list:
exist†trace, DELUHI, THE KIDDIE, UNiTE, the GazettE, girugamesh, Canzel, Golden Bomber, Gremlins, DELACROIX, SLOD, Royz and Mejibray.
 
I hope to have a great time and meet a wide variety of people to discuss and develop anything related to the Asian music culture or European even American too ╰(°ㅂ°)╯

Ehhh :/ I was hoping for a re-make of "FOLLOW THE FUTURE" or "WAKE UP!"
something that wasn't already on the album. Something new, something fresh. If DELUHI got back together and started releasing a few singles I wouldn't mind. Just let Juri or Sujk compose something
