I'm not sure what you mean by that. Yes, it is diffeent from Scenes From Hell, but it wasn't included on any Scenes From Hell releases. Anyway, pre-orders of the vinyl is up HERE. They're going fast and Blood Music is empty soon enough. Get yours NOW unless you want to pay 4-5 times the amount in half a year. I just ordered mine. One colour and one black. Looking forward to getting them. Looks yummy.

That looks neat.

The first(?) song and video from Till Lindemann's new project Lindemann together with Peter Tagtgren is out now. Sounds a bit like expected - a mix between Rammstein and Pain. Catchy as fuck and very cool. Really like the lyrics and video too. Hah!

Oh yeah!

Great name and probably a shitty band.

By the way, Vehemence will be releasing a new album this year. Their first album since 2004's Helping the World to See. Melodic death metal that should please fans of Intestine Baalism, Edge of Sanity etc. Original and creative band. I had some problems with the vocals to begin with, but after a while I got used to them. God Was Created (9/10) and Helping the World to See (8/10) are both must-haves for anyone who finds melodic death metal enjoyable.

Seen some more Tales From the Crypt: Episode 4, Abra Cadaver - A really neat episode by Stephen Hopkins (A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Dream Child, Predator 2). It's clever, it's hilarious and it's fun. Beau Bridges is fantastic here. Really, really impressive. 9/10 Episode 5, Top Billing - Todd Holland (The Wizard) directs this dark, black comedy with a fantastic Jon Lovitz in the lead, and an even better John Astin who gives us an Oscar-worthy performance. He's very theatrical and over the top, but he's amazing. There's something very Vincent Price-esque over his performance, and I dig it. But this is simply one of the best episodes of the series till now. It's up there with And All Through the House from the first season. Sheer god damn brilliance from begining to end. 10/10

New Nile and Rotting Christ? No thank you, good sires. I am eagerly awaiting the ucoming Megiddo album though. First proper release since their last album, The Atavism of Evil, released all the way back in 2002. Excellent band, and the new tracks are stunning. It's got a real genuine old school vibe to it, it's just oozing of mid to late 80's. Fans of old Bathory, Celtic Frost and Venom should check out the band. The new track as well as the old ones, event hough the first album has more of a Beherit feel to it as well.

I agree. How anyone can tell the difference between this, this and this is beyond me. The Beatles simply had no diversity whatsoever. 'tis all the same.

Double post. Let's make it useful by posting one of the coolest band pictures ever:
-
I'm gonna cheat a bit and post a band that kinda doesn't belong here, but which I still feel deserves a mention in the thread. The band I am thinking about is the swedish heavy metallers In Solitude. But with their last album, Sister, they went in a more deathrock/goth rock influenced direction. To support the album they released a single with two songs, one which was a cover of the swedish post-punk band Cortex, and also finished off their career with a single with two songs, one which was a Samhain cover, which also happens to be one of the best cover songs ever. Great album! Worth a try for fans of the genres.

I enjoy plenty k-pop, and play some tunes every now and then. Most albums and EPs are ruined by a poor ballad or five, though, so I tend to just listen to some tracks on youtube whenver I feel like k-poppin'.

Mo aka The Boxer's Omen - The sequel to Gu, and a very good one as well. Stoy-wise it's a bit below Gu, but everything else is better... and crazier. Because this is one hell of a crazy film, and it gets more and more wicked the closer to the end you get. Lots of special effects, and they look amazing. Especially the gore is from the top shelf. Stunning work, and at time abolutely disgusting. Some of the scene are straight down gruesome, however, as the first one it's a bit goofy, silly and extremely cheesy at times. But it's very enjoyable. Great film!

Not sure if I or anyone else mentioned them yet, but Thread Worm deserves a mention. Visual kei thrash metal band with members and ex-members from bands such as Rosenfeld and VellaDonna. Released two demos and a very good album. Fairly standard, but well-written and cool. Listen

I know nothing about korean indie, or indie in general, but does Glen Check count? If so, Glen Check! Haute Couture is a fantastic album.

It would seem as I were far off here: I did not know this. Them japs are all a bunch of nazis. Høh.

Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky - I must have seen this film close to 20 times now, still I am not even close to being able to describing the sheer brilliance of the masterpiece with words. It's simply trash cinema perfection. These gifs pretty much sums up the excellency of this film: Gu aka Bewitched - I had no idea what to expect from this film, but I've been wanting to see its sequel Mo aka The Boxer's Omen for a long time as I've heard lots of good talk about it, but I've never heard any talk of this at all. So again, I had no idea what to expect from this. But to my surprise, this was actually a very good film. Yeah, it's a bit goofy and silly at times, but it's got atmosphere and feeling. An evil wizard conducting black magic, a monk hitting back at him with good magic and so forth. Good VS evil. The first "stand off" between the good monk and evil wizard is nothing short of brilliant and breat taking, but the second feels a bit rushed. It's good, but far from the quality of the first one. Anyway, it's not genius film making, but it sure as hell does the job with entertaining. Sleazy, cheesy and good. Can't wait to see the sequel.

That's so cool. I'll never get bored of that video. I also love the fact that Gezol, 30 years later, still dresses like that. Attitude! Sabbat is simply one of the most best bands ever, and a band with one of the most consistent discographies of all time. With that I mean their original releases, not all those live albums, splits and EPs with all kinds of bullshit on 'em. Their six first EPs and all nine albums are absolutely brilliant. The worst deserves nothing less than 9/10, while most of them deserve a 10/10. Some of the compilations are good too, though. Those which gather rare songs from demos/splits or demo compilations. Good shit.
-
Nice! Can't stop laughing at some of that. Fucking Rastafarian Targaryen and Theon & Ramsey. Hohoh!
-
You should wear dresses more often then. Lookin' good.

I thought the film was great too, but it wasn't quite A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night if you ask me. Highly recommended horror film. Two very different films, though. They're more or les son the opposite side of the scale though, with one being one huge, noisy action-sequence and the other a calm, atmospheric flick that will put half the people who watches it to sleep. I also expect A Most Viloent Year, The Hateful Eight, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend, The Witch and Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter to be able to cope with it at least. I got massive expectations to all of these, even though I am a bit sceptic when it comes to Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend. The first one is a proper wuxia classic and one of the finest films the genre ever saw, but it's been 15 years and making sequels 15 years later tend to fail a lot. Anyway, if Yuen Woo-ping stays away from CGI he is fully capable of making great and even better than great films, and both Donnie Yen and Michelle Yeoh turns me the fuck on. Yeah, excited, if a bit sceptic as well. PS: without seeing it I am sure The Witch will please you hella lot. I can feel it, browski.

It was limited to 500 compies. But I doubt they'll include it on this, and I hope not as it is so very different from the sound on the new album itself.

Stray Cat Rock: Machine Animal - Yasuharu Hasebe continued the series after a phenomenal "comeback" to the series, and he continued doing his own thing. The plot is very similar to the previou one, but maybe not as socially relevant as it. It's cool and full of attitude, an amazing Meiko Kaji and a bunch of cool and good supporting actors, it's visually awesome with its colourful filters and lighting, the odd camera angles and flashy editing, and this is topped off with a superb soundtrack. Psych rock, sentimental pop and other cool sounds. The music itself really manage to su up the film as a whole. Another great addition to the series. Fun fact: all the four first Stray Cat Rock films were released the same year. Not unsual in Japan in the 60's and 70's, but it's still crazy. I (pre-)ordered the entire Stray Cat Rock: The Collection on blu-ray the other day as well. I don't buy many films anymore, but these I just had to get even though they were a tad expensive for my liking. Should arriv ein august. Can't wait!

The Living Skeleton - Japaneseblack/white horror film from the end of the 60's. The film looks stunning, and the cinematogaphy is excellent. Splendid use of light and shadow, and overall very well-directed, as well as well-acted. This film is all about atmosphere, and it does really well in creating eerie, creepy atmosphere that'll keep you on the edge of your seat. If you ask me there's just something very un-japanese about this film. It's not exactly a gothic horror film, yet I get this traditional japanese 60's ghost horror meets Mario Bava-esque gothic horror set in modern times from the whole film. Which is really cool. Fantastic film!

Starsky & Hutch - For the 10th time or something. I'm still a fan and I think this is proper underrated like. It's silly and dub, but it's so much fun. The chemesty between Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson is magic, and Vince Vaughn, Will Ferrell, Fred Williamson and even Snoop Dogg are great here. Plenty of memorable scenes and quote. While the first half is a laugh-o-rama, the second half is a bit too uneven, but still provides plenty laughs. The dance-off, man. How good is that scene? Or the prison scene? Or the mime scene? Or the do it-scene? Seriously... brilliant.
