now i know why this reminded me of the old gazette.
doesn't anyone think that the part from 0:24 on sounds almost identical to 1:35 in gazette's social riot machines ?
-
Not bad at all, the chords in the chorus are generic as hell though.
But the vocals are kinda cool, I'll keep an eye on this band.

I hate Ruki's vocals nowadays, but I love his vocals on the early Gazette releases. I think he started getting worse from NIL and on. Can't stand him now.
Old gazette performance of wakaremichi :
Wakaremichi at the DECADE (2012) :
Now honestly, which one is better ?

Oh haha I guess I just meant that unrefined, not polished 'professional' sound per say, not genre.
I do agree with that, but the only reason why I think their newer music is better (stacked rubbish untill toxic mainly), is because ruki's voice sounds so much better now. Because of ruki's old singing voice (you know, that high pitch style that makes him sound like a little kid) I thought a lot of songs would've been so much better with ruki's current voice. You can watch the whole "DECADE" live from 2012 for perfect evidence of how awesome that would sound.

I've never heard of this band but it sounds good
-
I liked the intro.

Although I didn't like SCUMS at all, I thought Dizzy was pretty good, so I'm looking forward to this one

This DVD is definitely going to be boring, I mean, since they had pretty much identical setlists for each country, it won't be fun to watch.
However I am interested in this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Kt5UQq5bNQ

& Will be doing INSIDE BEAST and CODA soon

^ Bro, I didn't mean audio wise. I can hear the bass fine...I meant nothing too interesting is going on bassline wise IMO
I also thought you meant audio wise, haha
But still, the bassline sounded pretty interesting to me in "karasu". And I thought the bassline in REDO was pretty good too, in the other songs not so much :\

The GazettE's "The Decade" DVD in 2012.
I consider that their best tour final.
-
I covered some random GazettE solo's that I like =)
Sorry about the mistakes !

and I am 10000000% sure
Except that you're not. How can you possibly be sure of that ? You do realise that you having a good memory of all of your work, does not necessarily mean that the same goes for every other artist. Especially a band that has made an incredible lot of songs.

Call me crazy, but this stuff is the shit! Sprecher Root Beer is fantastic by itself and it's hometown brewed as well (the brewery is 40 minutes away from my house). The use all local stuff whenever possible and they only sweeten their drinks with local honey. The hard root beer is fermented in bourbon barrels for 1 year and it comes out tasting awesome. It's really interesting, there are like 4 distinct layers of flavor to it...I really dig it.
Impressive =0
PS. You can mail me 3 boxes, haha

Here's where I have my troubles with your post. I, in no absolute way, see a similarity in INSIDE BEAST's chorus and SUICIDE CIRCUS's pre-chorus, the tempo is different, maybe thd rumming does but I did not hear the similarities and I even played the parts together and I still can't hear what you're talking about.
I think he wasn't talking about the "mou modorenai" bit, but the bit just before that ("all has been erased, a chain reaction"). That part is almost identical to INSIDE BEAST's chorus.
-
-INSIDE BEAST’s chorus is a direct 1:1 rip-off of THE SUICIDE CIRCUS’ prechorus. this is embarrassing.
Wow, I haven't noticed this at all. But damn, it is an EXACT copy of suicide circus' prechorus xD
I don't think it was intentional tho.

I find it pretty funny how everybody lists songs that they like, while others say they hate them (and vice versa). Have you ever thought that maybe the GazettE isn't an awful band, and we just have different opinions ?
The effort that they've put into this is clearly noticable. The only song I didn't like was INSIDE BEAST, but tbh, the chorus did really stick with me.
Although I really like this album, I still have some complaints. The choruses DO sound alike in the more "heavy" songs. I liked them, but I expected a tiny bit more. The songs that I really liked were ( minus FADELESS) :
- UNTIL IT BURNS OUT - the chorus sounded like a typical GazettE song, but the song overall did have something different, which I liked
- REDO - can't believe how you can't fall in love with this one
- LAST HEAVEN - best ballad since Untitled
- LOSS - great chorus
- IN BLOSSOM - amazing guitar riffs, nice chorus, nice female vocals
- karasu - clearly influenced by the style of NIL, awesome
- kuroku sunda sora to zangai to katahane - THIS is the type of song I want from the GazettE, oustanding chorus, great riffs, great build up, perfect
- CODA - the best outro I've heard from them
INSIDE BEAST, DEVOURING ONE ANOTHER, and THE STUPID TINY INSECT were just meh
And I liked the guitar in TO DAZZLING DARKNESS, that's all.
-
LOL.
Also about Ruki's range, I thought the lack of his range was clearly audible in LOSS. It would've sounded so much better with another vocalist.
Opinions differ I guess. In the chorus I thought that ruki hit pretty high notes.
new band "21g" has formed
