  1. Seeing as how small the Netherlands is, I think we represent a fairly large share of the community to be honest...

That said, I'm also Dutch =)

I didn't know there were more active dutch members beside me and linh-san

Waarom zegt niemand iets bij de international thread ><

  2. The last song which was done in standard tuning was Worthless War I think. Still thinking that it's due to Ruki's current range (which is not really that great, as we know)

Since he switched over to a more "deeper" style of singing, his range seemed to decrease a tiny bit. But I think it still sounds a million times better than when he was singing with that "high pitched" style of his.

  3. There's also REMEMBER THE URGE which was done in drop A#

+ Drop C was utilized at certain points even before Toxic/DIVISION. Say, did everyone forget Nakigahara or Shadow VII II I? Anyways, they should go with standard tuning sometimes (unless it would cause Ruki to strain his vocals)

I think Uruha used drop C in "Voiceless Fear" and "RED (live)" too

I agree, it's been a long time since they did songs in standard tuning, too long. Songs like shichi gatsu youka and shunsetsu no koro were in standard tuning (I think), and they sounded great.

  4. ^ Thank you!!

I tried to make the lead and rhythm guitars sound different. Maybe I tried too hard that it became counter-intuitive. Do you have any suggestion on how to make them work together? Should I use more similar rhythms?

    No prob,

What I try to do is make the lead guitar not sound similar, but have similar notes in it. That way, you can make lots of different melodies, but still have it sound as if the rythm and lead actually belong together (hope that makes sense).

I could upload one of my songs sometime, so you could see what I mean.

  5. HOLY CRAP I FOUND THE SUPER SECRET HIDDEN PREVIEWS

    http://www.neowing.co.jp/track_for_cdj.html?KEY=SRCL-8355

via the GazettE Fan's on faeshbook via CDJapan.

It looks like the GazettE haven't exactly gotten over their electric kick :/

But I'm actually really digging the previews. I might actually buy the CD.

Them saying that the album would betray our expectations, was just spot on... I really didn't think that they would go in this direction. To me, it sounds really different, apart from the first 2 songs, I really enjoyed the rest of the previews :)

  6. Being a fan of the band, you hope that they will release material that you enjoy, and I totally empathize with that. I'm sure everyone does.

Not only that, but FADELESS has also made a pretty good impression on me, along with FORBIDDEN BEAVER. I didn't like QUIET as much tbh, just the solo.

  7. Go check who's the composer of most of the songs on their recent albums and then come back to me.

I was talking about you saying that they do as they're told. I thought you meant "told" as in by the record company. If you meant by ruki, well, it does seem like he does not only compose a lot, but is also in control of a lot of what the gazette does.

I honestly don't think of that as a bad thing, but if you do, I can respect that.

  8. They do as they are told or whatever Ruki is in the mood for, its the direction the band will take. No ifs and's or butts.

Now this is an example of a baseless claim, with no evidence at all. There is a possibility that its true though, I'll give you that. But the only reason I say that is because I cannot prove the contrary.
