    gran wants to adopt a cat... i'm not really sure i want any cat in my life after my babies died one after another.

      hey, sorry to do this as a total stranger but i had a similar situation -- i lost one cat (10) to kidney failure and one cat (17) when he ran out and got struck by a vehicle in the span of 2 weeks. my family ended up adopting a new cat after a lot of uncertainty, and then another. no matter how things end up, i wanted to just let you know i've been there. it sucks and i feel for you.

      it was really heavy loss for me - elder cat was 12 years old and she was my only friend for an exactly a half of my life, and younger cat was her last daughter... it was really important and i feel like lost my own child. and my thoughts these last weeks are all around it's not that bad being dead instead of her.
