True, there are certainly ways that supporting stores have an effect on profits in the big picture. I certainly feel that stores like ours, puresound and closet-child have their place in the VK ecosystem though. So the argument that nobody should support stores with those business models just seems a bit misplaced  

Yeah, I mean I totally get where they're trying to come from there. Defending the support of an artist is a decent cause. I think the logic is just a bit screwed up though XD I mean, for all intents and purposes, we're a reseller just like any music store. We have to purchase our music in the first place, after all, so any profit going to the band would have already happened at that point XD That's not even getting into the fact that most VK bands make little(if any) money off of CD sales in the first place...

strange and out of place yes XD but it's a question i occasionally ask myself when i buy second-hand stuff from ps/cc/auc ^^;; although in your case it's probably irrelevant since most of the bands you're dealing with have disbanded long ago haha.
