Just because you don't like it, it doesn't mean everyone dislikes it. Many bands create something different than mainstream music and they want to shock people, but there's also audience who likes this kind of stuff (like me, for example), so it's the matter of taste. The real art shouldn't be censored, as long as no one gets hurt in the process (torturing animals for "art" isn't okay, for example). If you don't like it, just don't watch it.

If not for anime I would keep living happily ever after without knowing anything about Jrock or Jpop. When- sometime around 2004-5. Since the first anime I saw was Inuyasha the first songs I heard were by BoA and Ayumi Hamasaki it all rolled from there.

i think though this make up(above) has to do with angura kei. (and there were more bands in the past who did it than today?)

 

(edit:i mean you can search more bands that are considered as angura kei .they have this make up)

Hmm, I tend to think some styles become the pattern, just like in any other music styles. Goths have their patterns, Punks have their patterns, and so on. So they repeat sometimes.

 

Like most Visual Kei musicians (at least in the near past) wore the typical Visual Kei hairstyle inspired by the super saiyajin hair.

 

Some are just coincidence.

I want to mention a certain trend makeup-wise. I think this was started by Tatsuro and MUCC (correct me if I'm wrong) way back and been done by at least a few other bands, especially Metronome/Fukusuke. I may have seen others too but I can't recall right now.
