I'm totally game if the production doesn't sound like digital sandpaper this time.

I dug around a bit more, it seems the bass and drum tracks are already recorded since November and guitar/vocal recording is well underway (if not already finished). Photos were already shot for the potential album booklet too. Couldn't find any more up-to-date info, as MORRIE and his support band are busy rehearsing for his two year-end gigs, one of which took place yesterday and the other one to be held tonight. Random fun fact: Sakito (NIGHTMARE/JAKIGAN MEISTER) was the live support guitarist yesterday.

Looks like not. I tried browsing his Twitter and OHP to find some fresh info, but came up empty. There were some tweets a few weeks back that he's recording something so I guess if a new album would drop it'll have to be next year. Oh, and he also said back in the summer in an interview that the next album would be a bit more heavier/darker than usual (for his solo stuff I mean).

FUCKIN' BLACK MIRROR. FUCKIN' BANDERSNATCH, MAAAAN. It's the greatest thing ever, and it's only one episode - tho reportedly it has hours of footage, so there's lots to explore. It's super cool how when you re-do some stuff there are small changes, and then when you get to the next 'checkpoint' there are sometimes different paths to choose from, depending on whether you've got there for the first time or as a 'retry' round. Absolutely crazy. I've only messed about with it for like 2 hours, but there are still things I haven't tried. Strong replay value, that's for sure. If you have Netflix, this is the thing to experience right now. (For those who have no idea what I just incoherently babbled: there's a new standalone Black Mirror episode up on Netflix called Bandersnatch, and it plays as an interactive movie where you have to make decisions at certain points for the protagonist, influencing the general storyline and further choice-offshoots, resulting in loads of different 'realities' and endings for our hero.)

Good to know! Honestly, I've fallen of the D'ERwagon a while back, so much so that I don't even remember whether I've listened to their last album at all, heh. The first three full-lengths they released after their reunion are still surprisingly solid tho! Here's to hoping they'll make something cool again.

Yeah, this will be actually kinda cool I feel, especially to have all the random single B-sides and omnibus tracks collected and polished up a bit. Too bad about the exorbitant price but it is what it is.

^ Sorry, I was too quick in making my initial post, but edited it now with the legit info. So the last 3 tracks are officially just new remixes (nothing was re-recorded or anything).

The wording makes it sound like they might be alternate takes or something (maybe unreleased versions using slightly different audio lines? not sure). Never mind, the Barks.jp article refers to these last tracks as remixes specially made for this compilation, so they're just remixes it seems. edit: In any case, all of the tracks should be remastered versions according to the official site, so that's pretty neat! Just an observation: the thread title is a bit misleading, this is more like a complete anthology / box set rather than a usual 'best album'.

In another tweet they refer to him as a "mysterious skillful guitarist" so who knows, maybe Arimura-san has more talents than just asthmatic wheezing and strumming power chords. (:

Actually, found more concrete info in the meantime. So it looks like that for tomorrow, the following musicians will be playing guitar with Nocturnal Bloodlust as support members: Miya (MUCC), DAIKI (HER NAME IN BLOOD), Ryutaro (they don't say which band he's from so I'm guessing he's just some random studio/session guy) This is only for tomorrow's gig tho, no mention yet of any 'stable' new members or support musicians afaik.

They haven't had any gigs since the two members' last one, but tomorrow they're performing at the JACK IN THE BOX 2018 event at Budokan with other bands, and if I'm understanding it correctly based on the below tweet, Daiki from HER NAME IN BLOOD and Miya from MUCC will step in (for that one live). edit: it might be that MUCC's Miya is playing with HNIB and not NB, not sure...? In any case, Daiki is sure to play guitar for NB tomorrow.

Tomorrow's the release of the latest BUCK-TICK DVD/Blu-ray, aaaand they announced another one again, lol. The DVD/Blu-ray "TOUR No.0" will be released on 2019/04/24 and will show all the live footage from the band's July 26th 2018 gig at Tokyo Kokusai Forum Hall A. Guys, this song is from 4.5 years ago... It's funny how listening to this now it sounds actually kinda good, compared to all the stuff he has done in the meantime, lmao.

It's good to hear a familiar voice once again, but unfortunately I couldn't find anything remotely endearing or memorable about this song...

Not growling per se, but early Kuroyume sometimes had pretty extreme harsh vocals, like 親愛なるDEATH MASK from 1993 (if that counts).

I'm kinda surprised but I'm really loving this new AS season. Right up there with AS2 for me, and we're only at a few episodes. BRING IT ONNNN

I only listened to it half-drunk once last night, but on first listen it's my least fave PN album so far. Will re-listen soon (but now I'm busy blasting better albums, like "Ballade cuntre lo Anemi francor" ).

Won't make a separate thread for it, but a new DVD-R "dieS vs MUNIMUNI [2016/11/11 NEO TOKYO CHOP DOME]" has just been released on 2018/12/13. It contains footage from the two bands' special anniversary two-man gig back at the end of 2016. Tracklist: 01. フッフー 02. 発情 03. POWER 04. NEW ORDER LOVE SONG 05. Matador-マタドール- 06. Track 9 is called "drum battle" so I assume it's some kind of 'drum-off' between the two bands' drummers, since apparently the stages where the gigs took place were facing each other.
