  1. If you happen to live in Japan you can watch a short version of the new music video here:

  4. FUCK YES GOD. Nothing can touch these metal gurus. They can even get away with singing "shabadaba" and "rurururu" and still make it heavyyyyy

Props for the Nosferatu snippets! Fun video & song.

Wow, manga LUNA SEA is terrifying. :'DDDD

Not sure how to feel about this new episode yet, but it went pretty well with the black metal I'm currently listening to.

Tragic lipsync on the last episode, both queens should have gone home just for that (as indicated by Ru's "meh" but I guess the producers have too much power, lol). This season keeps on getting worse and worse in terms of forced narrative...
  9. Finally, the メトロノーム tribute we deserve.

From the older stuff, any album between 1990-1995 is a safe bet ("Kurutta taiyou" is my personal favorite). From the newer stuff, I recommend "MONA LISA OVERDRIVE", "Juusankai wa gekkou" or "Arui wa Anarchy".
  11. Sample sounds completely uninteresting to me, but I'll be keeping my eyes on them till we get to hear more...
  12. ^ I never got into Arch Enemy at all, but that was pretty decent! Maybe I should try their old stuff, heh... In other news, there is a new Sühnopfer album out and it's so majestic and intense! Gotta confess, never heard of this project before but I'm completely sold by what I'm hearing here. Since then I've already started listening to their previous full-length, solid quality again.
  13. I guess this could even fit into the metal thread, but whatever. Idle Hands released their debut album yesterday, and it's glorious! Combines the lighter and more gothic leanings of occult metal bands like In Solitude with the hymnic qualities of dark bands like The Sisters of Mercy, sort of. Stream & buy over here: https://idlehandspdx.bandcamp.com/album/mana (it's also up in full on Youtube) Here's a taste from their equally great EP from last year:
  14. Young psych-heads HIBUSHIBIRE have just released their 2nd album "Turn On, Tune In, Freak Out!" today on Riot Season Records. If you like trippy jammin' rock like Acid Mothers Temple, I highly encourage you to give them a try (Kawabata Makoto of AMT actually produced both of the band's albums). Link to the album where you can stream & buy: https://riotseasonrecords.bandcamp.com/album/turn-on-tune-in-freak-out Their first album if this caught your attention: https://riotseasonrecords.bandcamp.com/album/freak-out-orgasm They are also embarking on a short tour of the UK in a few days, check out the dates/venues below: 2019.05.15 – UK, Birmingham: The Sunflower Lounge 2019.05.16 – UK, Wrexham, Focus Wales 2019: The Parish 2019.05.17 – UK, Nottingham: JT Soar 2019.05.18 – UK, Edinburgh: Henry’s Cellar Bar 2019.05.19 – UK, Glasgow: Nice N Sleazy 2019.05.21 – UK, Newcastle: Trillians Rock Bar 2019.05.22 – UK, Bristol: The Lanes 2019.05.24 – UK, Manchester: The Star And Garter 2019.05.25 – UK, London, Raw Power Festival: The Dome

To be honest, I could have quoted any of their songs, they're a trip. lol

Rebel hell Go to yell (XA-VAT - XANADOoM)
  17. The release comes with an A4-size photobook so maybe that factors into the price (but rly, it's even too expensive considering that, lol).

Just dropping by to mention that they released a teaser/trailer for a Watchmen TV series coming later this year, and it looks really promising!

    Sad day...

If it's something new, I prefer CDJapan. Never disappointed me for the past 13-14 years. If it's something used (and potentially more indies-vk), I ordered a bunch of times from Closet Child and Brand-X. This was yeaaaars ago tho, so idk how their level of service is nowadays. Once or twice I tried Yahoo Japan Auctions, but only for very cheap used items (like literally 100-500yen) because the proxy shipping fees can get wild.

This was one of those 'cheap bargain bin DVD' finds for me, and I was quite impressed with it! As you said, nothing extraordinary but a very entertaining flick.

This is some of the most bland, cookie-cutter, inoffensive piece of copy-paste djenty-hip yawnfest I've heard in some time. A ghostwriter is making hella money somewhere producing all these weirdly similar bands with weirdly similar (and somehow totally unremarkable) songs.

For me VITIUM takes the cake, definitely. IMMORTALIS was really weird and overbearing to me at the time it came out, but about one year afterwards it clicked and I completely fell in love with it. ADORATIO is just too much for me, a hodge-podge of ideas with not enough memorable bits (but it's alright I guess, and I'd easily take it over whatever DEG released since DSS).
  24. ^ You might be thinking of his band PONTIACS? Idk but yeah, he has had a few tracks with car names all throughout his various projects (e.g. Crashed Sedan Drive, Camaro, Corvette Drive). Also, with PONTIACS he covered Vince Taylor's song "Brand New Cadillac" too.
