This whole line-up and setlist ...must've been freakin' awesome~

^ Niiice~ Also, Manson just tweeted the YT link for the No Reflection music video! DOj3wDlr_BM It's set to private at the moment, but will be available at 12:00 PM Eastern Time (that's like an hour and a half later?). edit: not bad. Pretty interesting/creepy vid. I liked it (even though I'm still not too fond of the song).

Translation from Shattered-Tranquility: ...so they are indeed here to stay! Awesome!
-
^ Oh cool, thanks for the leaked/insider info. Manson uploaded some new photos of himself today too, by the way (twitter/facebook). edit: if anyone's curious just look up "born villain" on Tumblr, the leaked CD images are pretty easy to find/identify.

The band's official announcement: What I could gather: - today is their 10th major debut anniversary - their contract with Victor Entertainment is over - they closed the fanclub and opened a new one: http://www.kyakusitsu.com/ - they say they'll be indies-band again - but they're pausing activities again too? Sorry, that's the best I could come up with, using Google Translator, so don't take my word for it. edit: also there will be a small tour titled "Tadaima, Indies? Sayonara, Victor?" (lol) at the end of August/beginning of September.

They're one of my fave new VK bands, so I thought I'd make a topic for them~ MEJIBRAY started out in early 2011 as a solo project for ex-VanessA vocalist Genki who changed his name to Tsuzuku. By the beginning of summer they changed into a full-fledged band, releasing their first limited single/demo only a month after. Despite Ippu (one of the guitarists) leaving the band in autumn they have been providing a steady stream of releases and gigs. Because of the ex-VanessA members they gained popularity in the scene extremely quickly. Their style can be described as aggressive but melodic rock with hints of metalcore and heavy metal. Or, as Tsuzuku said in an interview, "Human Brain Karma Project" (yeah, that doesn't really mean anything ). Members: - vocals: Tsuzuku - guitar: MiA - bass: Koichi - drums: Meto My story: I kinda casually liked VanessA's music (except for their last few releases which were terrible IMO), so naturally I became curious when I heard Genki is having a new project because I like his vocals. I wasn't disappointed in the end, although at first the music didn't leave a lasting impact on me - good but nothing extraordinary. However, as time passed and they released more, I really fell in love with their style: the driving and powerful guitars (well MiA started out as a roadie for Galneryus, so there ya go xD), drums and nicely done vocals. I like that they manage to balance between being catchy/melodic and aggressive...plus, their choruses aren't as bland as most modern VK bands (usually that's the downfall of songs for me, the same slowish/boring chorus). To me they're the best new VK band (2011-) that's around these days. Hope they'll manage to keep the quality with their upcoming full album! I noticed there's quite a number of MEJIBRAY listeners over here, so hopefully this thread will be kinda active. So, any favorite songs/releases?

^ LOL, Furry Wood is my favorite. xD

New music vid: m9LpMZuBEMk Nothing special but kinda fits the mood of the song, I guess...
-
Whoah, cool! Didn't expect them to be this fast.
-
Nice! Too bad it's limited to live-only..
-
Nooooooo Hope they'll still stick around (and finally release that goddamn mini album xD).
-
^ Wow, sounds interesting.
-
^ Impressive support line-up!
-
^ Haha, you were quicker than me. But here are the covers in a bigger size if anyone's interested, plus the cover of the DVD: (this is the regular DVD cover which only differs in that the central picture and the font is a bit bigger) And the new profile pic: ...pretty cool!

Cool, looking forward to it!

I'm guessing it might be in the vein of his last single, since I recall it being a part of a 3-part "gothic style release campaign" or whatever.

According to HMV, Kaya will release a new CD (4 tracks) titled SALOME on 2012/06/20 (1890 yen). Judging by the price I think it might be a maxi single or a mini album. http://www.hmv.co.jp/en/product/detail/5015052

Interesting. I hope we'll get to hear their music soon (and that it's a more permanent type of band).
-
I really liked IWTKYLTDITM on the first few listens, then it quickly got boring and annoying for me (same for RTTEOTW). But I agree, Para-Noir is awesome (well anyway that album is one of my faves from Manson, all in all).
-
Thanks for the info! Hmm seems a tiny bit long for my taste but hopefully they'll manage to keep the songs interesting to justify their lengths.

Shounen feat. Miyavi xCThaqUR5Xk

^ Yeah, Feminism is one of my faves too, so I'd recommend that as well (but Nakigara wo... is also a good first choice).

Cool! Sounds almost like a mini-reunion.
