Okay, I couldn't take it, and listened to the four new songs (but just once, don't wanna overplay them). xD Brief thoughts: - Pistol Whipped is really dark/sexy, actually could have been a bit longer. That guitar part before the last chorus is glorious! - Slo-Mo-Tion is pretty nice too, similar atmosphere but more...slow-motion, lol. - The Gardener I can't really make up my mind about yet. The spoken-word style of the verses is interesting though. - Murderers...etc is like HOLY SHIT. xD This song has balls! Straight up reminded me of songs like 1996 or Burning Flag. So far this is shaping up to be more than promising! Only a few more days to go~~

^ That's a pretty nice vid. The new samples make some songs sound even more awesome! Can't wait!!

My recommendations: If you're looking for some rockin' riffs: Heavy Rocks, Pink If you're in an atmospheric post-rock mood: Flood A bit of both: Smile Any album is okay basically. Maybe In The Hole or Desert Town (or Rocket, for a more poppy sound). If you're into a poppy but varied old-school sound: Seventh Heaven, Taboo More mature/experimental and darker: Kurutta taiyou, Six/Nine Electronic-influenced rock: Mona Lisa Overdrive Gothy dark concept: 13kai wa gekkou Straight-up pop-rock with some variation: Memento Mori I suggest Mellow, to me it's his most perfect album: has a bit of everything, well-balanced. Sad Blood Rock'n'Roll if you're in a punk-rock mood. The Rose God Gave Me, if you're looking for something heavier, with a dark glam coating. Classic visual kei sound: Nakigara wo..., or Mayoeru yuritachi ~Romance of Scarlet~ Light but varied/experimenting pop-rock: Feminism, or FAKE STAR ~I'M JUST A JAPANESE FAKE ROCKER~ Pure punk-rock: Corkscrew From their classic/old-school albums: La Vie en Rose From the post-reunion stuff: Lazzaro Sorry, it got a bit long but most of these bands have such a varied catalogue of sounds. Hope you'll find something to your liking!

^ Thanks for the quick reply!

^ The left one looks really badass, while the other one...meh. Do you have any info on which is which (regular or limited)? Seeing as I ordered the regular one, with my luck I'll end up with that horrible one on the right, lol. XD

This. xDDD

^ Cool. But I guess I'll wait for the full thing, it won't be much of a difference waiting an extra few days. xD

Here's another nice BOØWY cover, from MUCC: 8_yPCzIq4tI

They usually have samples at Amazon.co.uk, since they sell all their stuff in mp3, but the new album+samples aren't up yet. But I guess when they'll have the mp3 version of the album in stock there will be samples as well. (maybe in 1-2 weeks?)

I'm more curious for the album covers now... hopefully they won't be such an eyesore, lol.

^ OMG, that looks terrible. Meto's look is kinda fun though. xD

LOL this is priceless.

LUNA SEA's guitarist SUGIZO can play the violin, although they only use it in a few songs. Like: L-3utwcYarY kAtTF1T4JKw

Haha, must've been a cool jam session. And omg, only a bit more than a week left till Born Villain~

A glimpse of hope there, haha! I like most of the stuff he wrote too.

^ Well. That was pretty boring. Sounds kinda like a Beautiful Freaks throwaway... I miss the times when I was more excited for their new stuff. Their recent music is mostly just like "hey let's get one of the guitars do some boring rhythm stuff, and the other one will go all fiddley-diddley without any catchy melody...oh and the rest of you guys can do just whatever you want as long as it's in 4/4 and pop-rock" ...meh.

John 5 covering Laruku has to be the weirdest thing I've read this year. Kinda curious about the other artists as well...
-
Oh cool, I'll send you a PM in a minute.

Not really interested in this, just like to point out that SUICIDE HEAVEN/GYZE (the same band, just a name change) is not VK but a "neo-classical death metal" band (basically melodic death I guess?), so maybe that would be of some indication about their future musical direction.
