  1. Info from drummer Chargeeeee's Facebook:
  2. They might as well have disbanded or hiatus'd years ago... won't be that much of a difference, lol.

  4. ^ They are recording and mixing stuff, also had some sort of shoot (dunno if video or photo), according to what I could find out from Jin's recent tweets.

^ Well the first part of the title means "metaphysical" and the second part means "meteor", no other possible meanings (well ok, second one can also mean "falling star" but I liked the M-alliteration xD). Random: According to a Natalie.mu article Cube Juice, YOW-ROW (from GARI) and Ken Morioka also participated in the recording of the new single (dunno for sure who of them did what on which track).

On the upside, the B-side song has been described with the words "electronica", "industrial" and "dance beats". (according to google translate, lol)

@indigo: OMG Snowpiercer is out finally?? Definitely gonna check it out, thanks for mentioning. Also agreed, Stoker was an interesting experience. Dogtooth [a.k.a. Kynodontas] - F'ed up movie about a family keeping their kids (well they're practically almost grown ups I guess) locked away from the outside world. Not your usual locked-up torture flick tho, still, quite sick. Not much story to it but it was good for one watch. Naked Killer - Hilarious early '90s action/crime movie from Hong Kong... totally over the top and cheesy, and full of ridiculous dialogue and great moments. Nicely vivid and clear visuals too (and lotsa boobies and that sort of stuff, hah). * note @Bear: the main villain is the same actress as in Red Nights

Female Trouble - First John Waters movie I watched all the way through, pretty funny / ridiculous / over the top stuff. If you like old-school trash and camp, this one's for you. Ticked-Off Trannies with Knives - Because who wouldn't wanna see something with that title??!! Nice little grindhouse-homagey revenge type thingie... I was surprised that the tone was quite serious in some places but it was cool nevertheless. Was good to see Willam in a movie finally, heh.
  14. ^ Yeah, the CD will only contain one song.
  15. Here's a very crappy quality recording of the new song "EVERLASTING": http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1iqz59_new-song-everlasting-live-2014-at-%E5%9B%BD%E7%AB%8B%E7%AB%B6%E6%8A%80%E5%A0%B4_music

^ Usually this means that the band will stop live activities for an unknown period, to devote time to compose new songs, practise, etc.

Red Nights [a.k.a. long-ass French title] - Thanks to Bear for mentioning this gem a while back, only now had time to properly watch it. Even though it turned out that the subtitles were a bit fucked up (weird grammar and lots of stuff missing in the middle to last portion), it was a highly entertaining experience. Excellent visuals and atmosphere (giallo influences showing from a mile away!), and the characters were cool too - gotta luv Carrie Ng, she was so perfect as the evil sadistic lady~

This is probably the worst Alice Nine album I've ever heard (even "topping" Alpha in that aspect). Most of the new songs sound boring, lacking any power or even catchy melodies - they're just completely lame and leave no impression. I gotta say, even SHINING and Daybreak seemed like okay-ish tracks next to the new ones (that's quite a feat!). Exist, SHADOWPLAY and 開戦前夜 are the only songs I could honestly label "good" (last two especially), the rest is just garbage better left unheard by my ears. | below average, and probably won't listen to the whole thing again, only select tracks.

Whoah, Insane sounds pretty cool! Might check them out since I already dig old-school Slayer. Can't really add anything to this thread tho... I almost wrote Grieva but only their first album and parts of subsequent singles are Dir en grey inspired, and they seem to draw from other sources/influences as well (while also adding their own thing). edit: Oh right, I heard about this band called Portrait (non-Japanese) who are apparently really big King Diamond & Mercyful Fate worshippers. Haven't heard more than one track from them, so can't really judge the validity of that statement.
  21. Random interesting news: special 2man gig カリ≠ガリ対アーバンギャルド (cali≠gari vs URBANGARDE) will be held at Hibiya Kokaido on 2014/06/28.

Honestly I think it's a pretty fun song. (wow haven't said such a thing for a SCREW track in years)
