Seeing this had me a bit worried after the lynch drummer's Twitter shenanigans, but this turned out much better than what I was expecting lmao.

Oh HELL YEAH, I'm always down for some Black Magick SS.

Just started reading The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett yesterday. Somehow never dove into it before (prolly because of its length) but I have all the time in the world nowadays so why not. I'm still at the beginning but so far it's very easy and good to read. I'm usually not really interested in medieval stuff so my enjoyment is a surprise even for myself, haha. I'm also in the middle of reading Hungarian translations of the "complete works" (vol.2) of H.P. Lovecraft and a book on the history and surviving documents of the Hermetic Brotherhood of Luxor. Yeahhhh occult time baybeee lmao

I have a somewhat weird relationship with old music from my country, mainly because for most of my time growing up all the golden oldies that were blasting through those 'nostalgia radio' stations either got way too repetitive way too fast or were just plain cringey to begin with, lol. So those circumstances weren't too inviting for me to explore any old stuff, plus I was a teenager getting into extreme metal and such, so it was a total turnoff. Over the years as I got older I grew an appreciation for a small number of bands/artists though. While in theory I would dig the '80s Hungarian avantgarde / punk / no-wave scene, there's really no recording that survived the super-restrictive Soviet era that can be deemed enjoyable or listenable (only stuff that was later re-recorded by these bands in the '90s and '00s maybe) or their music was only released towards the late '80s so I'll skip those groups. If anyone wants to go exploring, try searching for A.E. Bizottság, CPg, Trabant, Vágtázó Halottkémek, Európa Kiadó (in order of 'least accessible' to 'most accessible'). Okay sorry, that was way too much blabbering, time to get groovy.

That pair is so powerful.

Not sure where to post this but here's 30mins of HIGH FASHION PARALYZE live from back in 2015 (gibkiy×3 just uploaded this to their official YT channel).

^ Of course, I agree that the previews only show a very limited scope of the song. Especially with these guys they sometimes spice up their tracks with some variety now and then... it's just that the whole picture I'm getting so far doesn't get me excited too much. We'll see when the time comes.

Yay, welcome back~

Not sure what to think yet based on the previews and the PV track. Latter one sounds okay-ish, the samples in general are more 'meh'... although towards the end there were a few that caught my attention. I didn't care too much for their previous album (only very few standout tracks, overall pretty bland but not annoying) and this one doesn't seem like it will hold my interest for long either. In general I'm more of an 'album guy' but with this band I think their singles have been much more memorable.

@Bear Thanks for the recommendation! Truth be told, I haven't even finished Ash vs Evil Dead back in the day, so I'm way far behind, lol... But while we're on the subject of (horror) comedies: next Wednesday marks the start of the 2nd season of What We Do in the Shadows! Can't wait!

This may not be the best time, but REMEMBER TO STREAM EROS ON SPOTIFY, GUYSSSS

LOVE ITTTTT ♥ Classic muni' vibes, reminds me of BEAT FOR YOU, BIG MONEY and the like. Rest of the show sounded great too based on this vid.

To quote myself,

Yeeeeeeeeeee this is what I'm talkin' about, bring it onnnnnnn

What a magnificent cover! I should start actually listening to these guys, as I've been promising myself since seeing them live, like 4 years ago, lol.
-
The guys premiered the lyric video for this pretty dope song today:
-
The song started out kinda predictably, but I like the directions it took. Fun stuff.
-
The band temporarily stopped the album's recording due to the virus situation.
-
Their last one was pretty good, looking forward to this one too! (and the supposedly-upcoming EP)

By the way here are the songwriting credits if anyone's interested... Most of them sound pretty obvious, others maybe not so much so! - LOVELESS: SUGIZO - ROSIER: J - FACE TO FACE: INORAN - CIVILIZE: SUGIZO - GENESIS OF MIND 〜夢の彼方へ〜: SUGIZO - AURORA: SUGIZO - IN FUTURE: J - FAKE: INORAN - TRUE BLUE: J - MOTHER: INORAN (one of the more "evenly composed" LS albums as far as the songwriting credits are split up between the members, excluding Shinya and Ryuichi ofc)

Thanks guys for making this happen! It was lots of fun to read (even if they leaned in to the whole 'mysterious kote band' thing a bit too much, haha).

ROSIER was my introduction to the band, so I can't help being partial to this album. It's one of the all-time greats. LUNA SEA really upped the bar not only for other bands but themselves too with this album. It's pretty much flawless from beginning to end, full of memorable moments, and even the few tracks that don't stand out for me are of a category which would count as "pretty great" if any other band did them. Zero weak songs. From what I've experienced, it translates to live performance really well too (witnessing FACE TO FACE in the flesh back in Germany 2010 was one of my top-tier vk experiences of all time). Favorite tracks: LOVELESS, ROSIER, FACE TO FACE, IN FUTURE @CAT5 Damnnn, I wanted to skip choosing a weakest track from this flawless album but the poll makes it mandatory, how rude! ;(((

Yeah, that one really surprised me. I was not expecting that type of rawer sound, but it was a great way to end the album!

It was a hella long time ago that I actually listened to downy, so I was kiiiinda knowing what to expect but still kinda not sure, lol. This turned out a bit more experimental and "out-there" as I was anticipating, not that it's a bad thing. I haven't had a listening experience like this for a while now, where I start the album and not rly feeling it, but gradually song by song it actually became better and better, peaking around tracks 6-7 (then the rest are a mixed bag). It was interesting. I like the trippy atmosphere and noisiness, but two things I have issues with: 1. WTF is that short synth interlude and why put it there? lol 2. In some of the tracks the way the drums are mixed/presented make it a bit difficult to enjoy the music (too loud and mechanical maybe?). Other than these observations, I dig pretty much everything. Tracks 5, 6, 7, 10, 11 are the ones that got me hooked, especially 6-7 and 11. For me it's an "almost 4-starer" but not quite, so
