The joint gig of Boris and Merzbow that was live streamed on 2014 June 25 is now available to view in its entirety on Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=peo7F7R1lC8 (it's not the official channel but hopefully it won't get taken down... btw Merzbow linked it on FB)

Nice screaming vox in the beginning, it reminds me a bit of old-school death metal (a welcome change in this 'core music style). LOL those low ones were surprising but cool too. I like the melodic singing too, but more so from 1:17, the other parts it sounds a bit silly / unmemorable. Surprisingly good overall! Something like an 8/10. Continuing with a br00tal/clean switching combo too~ (tho here it's actually 2 dudes)

^ Awesome! Must've been a killer experience! I saw Death To All (basically Death - minus Chuck Schuldiner of course) last night, it was kinda okay. The guitars were a bit too loud and weirdly mixed but overall it was an enjoyable gig, even if I'm not that familiar with Death's output. They played Zombie Ritual towards the end which I did recognize, so yay. The main thing I went to see was the opening band Gorguts anyway - these Canadian dudes know how to rock some seriously technical shit! Excellent heavy atmosphere and amazing musicianship all around... bassist dude was br00tal on the 6-stringed bass but everyone was ace on their instruments overall. I bought a T-shirt at the merch table from the guitarist/vocalist frontman and shook his hand, haha. Was pretty sweet. (not my photos)

I Wake Up Screaming - An okay '40s film-noir / crime flick with some nice little surprises to always keep you interested. Nice characters too.

Sunset Boulevard - Nice little oldie. Reminded me a lot of What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?, the theme was similar. Nice dramatic music too!

Ahh I've always loved that riffage (sweet song too). Tho I'm generally a sucker for anything with squeaky pinch harmonics in it. xD 10/10 would bang http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oktI-WCovzc (starts at 0:12ish)

A Clockwork Orange - I really liked the book, so I tried the movie adaption for a 2nd time (first time I didn't rly go too far in). It wasn't too bad but the book is infinitely more enjoyable and exciting. The film somehow felt stilted and boring at points. Malcolm McDowell as Alex was pretty cool tho. The eerie soundtrack was sweet too.
