I used to buy cassettes for a short period while I was getting into music, but switched to CD not long afterwards. That became my main thing and has remained till this day. I have a hi-fi system at home so it's really comfortable to listen to CDs that way (it doesn't have a tape player unit). I've only listened to a small handful of vinyls so far (and those were pretty old albums too), but that sounds nice as well. Still, I'm thinking it would be a hassle buying a vinyl player and then those big records -- I barely have any free space as is! lol. They do look mighty fine tho and I get the appeal.

The A-side is pretty solid, yea. Looking forward to the whole single~

I found it absolutely atrocious and boring, devoid of any ability to make me feel as exhilarated as previous "hits" of theirs. I already didn't like much of Apocalyze to begin with (after what, to me, was their pinnacle: Zion), and this goes even below the level of those songs. Nothing memorable, nothing powerful and most of all nothing catchy about it. Just some half-assed shouting over a half-assed electro BGM that sorely lacks a punch. I'm still waiting to hear the B-sides but after experiencing this new track I'm not that optimistic anymore.

Boyhood - A movie whose only exciting and intriguing aspect is that they filmed it over a 12-year timespan, so the actors aged with the actual timeline of the plot. Well, not much to say other than it was an okay-ish coming of age flick in a bit of an episodic manner, tho far too long. The concept was cool, the execution could've been better. Sin City 2 - Well, this one suffers a bit from "Machete syndrome", i.e. they probably felt they needed to up everything to 11, so the whole movie comes across as a bit ridiculous, albeit entertaining. The visuals were just too much in some scenes tho (also, contrastingly with rather unimaginative and dumb plot points). The Equalizer - Okay, this was just badass. Denzel Washington plays a seemingly average dude but with a mysterious past, and when he can't take all the shadiness and injustice around him... well, he gets down to business. A cool crime/thriller flick that might start out slow but the tension and action keep building up until the epic finale. Recommended.

^ SEX VIRGIN KILLER are a bit like that (tho kinda weak in the vocals department xD): But yeah, haven't heard many decent bearable heavy/power stuff, excluding some X songs and maybe a few Versailles tracks (speaking of the vk scene of course).

The previews sound real good so far, yay~

(1st minute) D'ERLANGER's intro to their La Vie en Rose album (and consequently, the title track) is just too cheesy and weird and trying-to-be-dark-and-twisted that it's a treat to listen to. xD Made by the wonderful Hoppy Kamiyama btw who did a lot of synth/programming for the band and many others.

Seems interesting, curious what they will sound like.
