LMAO @ mumu Shame about plug tho...
  2. I've only been able to listen to it once, but I liked it pretty much. Gonna re-listen a few more times for sure. They didn't disappoint.
  3. ^ I think I remember spinning that sometime in the past... nice indeed! Something else that's also nice, and new: first full-length from Berlin post-punkers Diät. This says it all I guess. (I couldn't find any song from the new album, so here's something old)
  4. Magane sounds pretty awesome, I think I might try them out. Thanks for mentioning them!
  5. ^ I know of these pretty rad bands: Melechesh - epic death metal with Middle-Eastern influences Cult of Fire - black metal with a mystical Hindu vibe going on (since about 2013 at least) Nile - you prolly know of this band already, pretty solid death metal with Egyptian and Middle-Eastern motifs Enemite - this isn't metal but dark as fuq creepy Chinese tribal chanting sp00ks

I have a feeling THE BLACK SWAN will win, heh. Voted for kamomekamome tho, cuz while I sort of like some of TBS's songs, kamomekamome's releases have always been totally killer, and they're just a beautiful, aggressive, unpredictable yet catchy hardcore machine that won't stopppp <3

Satoko Fujii (pianist) and her projects are also quite good, some of it is more modern in that free-jazz kinda area (nothing too drastic tho xD), others a bit more traditional sounding. For example: edit: that Ryo Fukui dude sounds rad, grabbing that album myself too. xD
  11. Maniac - Vermin Hell New-ish album of Spanish pursuers of the filthy kick-in-your-teeth black/death/thrash styles of old. Lots of cool moments, reminds me a bit of Satan's Wrath and the like. Hits hard, man.

Their DVDs (especially the tour footage) are always so fun to watch. I see this one will be quite entertaining too.
  13. As for me, if this poll was made back when MEJIBRAY was just starting out (like around their first few releases), I would've easily voted for them. Now, however... I just kinda became tired of them doing the same ol' MEJI-tropes only worse or more cringe-worthy and formulaic compared to when they were just testing the waters. On the other hand, 88kasyo does have a kind of 'set style', but it's immensely enjoyable, no matter what I listen to from them (in that regard, they're kinda like a quirky prog-indie Motörhead, heh).
  14. I was mildly excited for this band, but after hearing those samples, not anymore...
  15. Now THIS is how you do metalcore in 2015. Excellent.
  16. wooooooow been a long time!
  17. Well, MEJIBRAY is an alright band, but a poll where 88kasyo is an option... yeah, I'm always gonna go with 88kasyo. xD
  18. Not really feelin' this preview, but I bet there'll be some cool tunes on the album.
  19. Yesterday was another amazing night of killer synth mayhem, courtesy of Lazerpunk and Carpenter Brut. Lazerpunk basically did a short version of the same-ish set he did before Perturbator, what a fun show to watch! The guy gets really into it, and it was cool to see him rockin' the mic again in a song with (hellishly distorted evil robotic) vocals. There was some annoying technical malfunction mid-set, so I'm guessing he had to shorten it even more, but it was a nice quick warm-up nevertheless. Carpenter Brut was m-a-s-s-i-v-e!! The live drums really bring out the beast in all the songs. Dude was pounding away like no tomorrow, expert precision and some fun fills/variations too. I couldn't hear much of the guitars most of the time (except at more 'airy' parts) but they didn't seem to add anything substantial to the songs, but it was a nice touch I guess. Also, gotta give major props to the master himself at the synth, he really worked his ass off. Keyboards, effects, random knobs and tweaks and such, laptoppin', electronic percussion, you name it. Can't recall the setlist by song titles but it was a good hour long kinda. All excellent bangin' songs, lots of dancing and jumping around. A+ gig. Here are some cool photos one of my pals did: http://infinitebeat.hu/carpenter-brut-f-lazerpunk-quixotic-a38-2015-09-12/
