deedlitmurata got a reaction from setsuha_ in Laputa
I'm glad this thread help revive some interest for Laputa and his members   they were definitely one of the greatest bands in visual kei history. On my side, I checked the vocalist's (Aki) recent works and it sounds very decent, so i ordered the latest album called "Revolve" , looking forward to it.

I remember when Laputa disbanded, it was also one of my favorite bands at the time; I tried following up the vocalists (Aki)'s works, but it was very experimental when he first started and I really forgot to do some follow up on him!  I'm going to check out his latest works, if you have any recommended song, let me know

And I am very sad to know that Kouichi might have left the music scene.. he was so talented..

I finally received my copy of ANDROGYNOS 2 days ago, and wow... I'm shocked by how amazing PIERROT was, I only wish they had performed more various songs among both days, because both days had almost the same songs, and compared to the reunion concerts back in 2014, only 2 new songs performed here, which were MASS GAME and パウダースノウ, both were absolutely spectacular, on the 2nd day I felt they had such a great chemistry, that I am starting to suspect they might do something more next year, I mean they even broadcasted the ANDROGYNOS live in the Yunika vision in Shinjuku, if they weren't planning on doing anything else in the future, why make such an statement LOL and well, about the DEG portion, I'm not a big fan of Kyo's scream, so I tried watching a bit very carefully xD I could just stand The Final and アクロの丘 , which were awesome, the rest I have a hard time with Kyo's voice, its a shame because the other musicians are great, but anyhow, regardless of that, I am extremely happy I bought this for the PIERROT portion, it was so much worth it, money well spent! and the documentary was cute too.

I'm so happy about this band getting so active again, I received the bluray today and watching right now, and it is amazing so far. I really loved Black Bane; I'm excited to listen to Gakido and Nutty a hermit again, so much nostalgia with those songs omg... hehehe  I really liked their old style, the new songs are more slow and with electronic sound, I hope they find a balance, because their old style was so awesome

Ohhh how come I missed this MBHI band xD I never listened before, I've been checking some of their songs and it's very awesome, that interesting offbeat rhythms like the song PINOCCHIO, I realize this kind of melodies that are not lineal.. but full of changes with strong and defined bass lines, it's very catchy to my ears. Thanks for the indirect recommendation XD  too bad that band is disbanded, but we can enjoy RAZOR now.

This is definitely one of the best VK bands to have ever existed, it was among my favorites for a long time. Anyone remember this master piece?  Aki was really an amazing singer, I was not able to get into his solo stuff afterwards, it was too experimental for my taste.. but this is definitely a band i will always miss

deedlitmurata reacted to Mihenno in VK-Bands that you think STILL HAVE their "spark" & new bands you're keeping an eye on in 2017
I still think Angelo has their spark (at least to me) because I've literally found their most recent releases pretty enjoyable.  HETERODOX seems like it's going to slay my soul. Anfiel's latest release saved me from their 2nd album which kinda killed it for me for awhile, but I still think they have their spark, that album just wasn't my cup of tea. Develop One's Faculties is still bangin' over 3 years later. GRIMOIRE also keeps getting better and better tbh. I don't think Kra will ever lose their spark, but it just sucks that they rarely release at anything. Purple Stone and SHIVA can't make a bad song, so I think they both still have their sparks. vistlip is still going strong too!

Bands I'm keeping an eye on:
    アクメ (ACME)
    甘い暴力 (amai bouryoku)
    DEVIZE
    dexcore
    GAMEOVER
    Initial'L
    LAVANS
    LOVE LOCK
    ルクス (Lux)
    masaya
    RAZOR
    REVIVE
    Sioux
    -真天地開闢集団-ジグザグ (zigzag)

deedlitmurata got a reaction from suji in 5 Things I Hate About VK
The one I dislike the most is multiple type releases... Type A, B, C, D.. with different contents, split, one with booklet, the other without it.. etc. I like to buy physical copies of the albums I want, and this is always an issue, it's sad to buy the same thing many times just for the different contents. I think there should always be 2 versions. A normal standard version, and a version with all the whatever multiple goodies they want to include, even if its more expensive, I think this way is a lot better.   Into similar topics, FC limited releases, that then are sold for a lot of money in auctions.. why just don't sell normally to everybody?  through manufacture by order or whatever method, I understand the FC needs to offer benefits, but it shouldn't be in the actual releases that the band makes in my opinion.

deedlitmurata got a reaction from wildjokerleia in Why do you think that J-rock never really broke through in the west?
In regards to Latin America, the language thing may not be that important, because many people listen to English music and many don't understand it, so not many can use this argument. However, I've noticed that Japanese music is often associated with Anime... so the reaction you get from common people when they listen to a song in Japanese is "oh, from which anime is it from?"  so it's difficult for people in LATAM to take it seriously as a music on its own, this is also why you will only hear this music in Anime conventions and events... besides that, the majority of LATAM countries are more into other genres of music that are not Rock, the rock itself is not the preferred genre, people mostly listen to tropical music, ballads, R&b, hip hop, reggeaton... etc. it's very sad, I think the level of education has something to do with it. There are some countries in the South cone where there's still some popularity for Rock, and this is where sometimes Jrock bands go to (Argentina, Chile Etc.)

Also, right now the Kpop is very popular from what i've seen, maybe because it's easy to get access to it. In regards to Jrock, it's not easy for common people to find resources to listen to it, so this is probably why it's only the hard core fans that still listen to it. I try to expose my friends to it, and make "Jrock concert nights" to show them bands and stuff, and the reactions are always interesting.

This album is so amazing, I went to their Heterodoxy live in Tsutaya O-East in Shibuya, that was the 2nd live of the tour, and wow.. so awesome, Kirito is really at its best, and I liked this album more than CORD from last year, both are amazing, but this one is a little better, 胎動 is such a powerful song, I event wanted to cry when Kirito sang it, with such passion, that only he can show. There will be a Niconico broadcast of one of the last lives of this tour, in case anyone is interested: http://live.nicovideo.jp/watch/lv309404835
