Holy crap. This is incredible. I thought they'd never see the light of day again.
  3. I miss all of those bands. ;(

I'm looking forward to this just for a proper compilation release that has the later singles on it.

As i've stated before, I am absolutely in love with the album. To be completely honest in my own opinion, it's their best album since 2006's Peep Show. There's so much diversity. At times it harkens back to Gendai stoic (ZERO, Hide and Seek) and Modern garde (Carnival, Nonsense Market) and they try new stuff (Zombie Paradise). I had high hopes for the album - ever since ZERO was released as a single. I knew it was going to be great and a step up from Beautiful Freaks. The high energy and signature jazz/funk/punk was extremely present in the song. The album proves they were taking things a lot more seriously and digging into their back catalog for any sort of enlightenment. Every member is up to par. Especially Gara. His voice is incredible as ever and doesn't try to do that "Kyo growl" like on that one single from Beautiful Freaks. What makes the album even more special is the bonus acoustic CD. I knew they could pull off acoustic work but this really blew me away. In some tracks, especially Unreachable Voice, it almost seems like Gara tries to rap. I don't really know what else to say. I know so far a lot of people seem to find the release dull and boring but I do not. I feel it's an extremely pleasing release that redeemed them - for me anyway as their last few albums made me lose touch with them. In my opinion it's safe to say that I will be continuing to love them even more. 8/10

They are toying with us waiting for them to regroup.

That's not too far off. They never seem to disappoint. 'Witness' was a pretty good album. Not sure why they would release another album so soon though.

    Sounds like Dragonforce.

I haven't bought a CD in years as bad ad that sounds. I mainly stream music on Google Play Music and what's nice is I can download music and upload it on there and stream it from their website and mobile app.
  10. 1999. I randomly found 304 Gisugrjitihejeiej (that one Dir end grey song) on Napster while searching for Jpop. Discovered it was Jrock and went from there.
  11. ^ Holy crap. Listening now. I did not know this existed.

Issues - Issues Issues is a band composed of members from post hardcore band Woe is Me (notably the clean vocalist Tyler Carter). Despite forming in 2012 and releasing an EP in 2012 (months after their formation), they released their debut self tited LP in February 2014 - after fans upset over their EP. They don't consider their EP a proper release after the backlash of negative reviews that the EP wasn't up to their full potential. The LP, after its release, gained a lot of positive reviews and charted well. They are gaining popularity due to being linked to a resurgence in a "nu metal" revival. With all members being extremely talented (their DJ/turntablist, harsh and clean vocalists and their drummer and guitarists). While I don't care much for a nu metal revival, they are a great band due to their emo/post hardcore roots which not only brings in fans of 90's nu metal but also late emo/scene fans.
  14. I don't know if there is a similar thread or not (I couldn't find one) but I'm curious what you all think are the quickest disbandments for bands in the VK or in general band scene? I personally can't think of one but I'm sure somewhere in the VK scene a band probably didn't last more than a fee months.

Capsule, the GazettE (maybe?), Thrice, Enter Shikari, Atreyu, Between the Buried and Me, blink-182, Brand New, Fear Before the March of Flames (maybe?)

    Oooh, Kyo's hair looks neat!
  17. As much as I love Uroboros and Withering to death, i'm going with Vulgar ONLY because it was the first DEG album I pre-ordered and it has some good classics.

Maybe it's time for a Tokyo Jihen reunion. Yes? Anyone? Nevermind.

Okay, I've enjoyed ever NB release so far - except OMEGA. This album is good but not as good as Grimoire - which in my opinion is their best release to date (mainly for the great inclusions of their singles). Since its release, I am still banging out to the new album but it's nothing incredibly amazing. I feel Grimoire was well put together and they took the time to place the tracks in a perfect order. This album, while a lot of great work in the tracks, was thrown together just because. Punch me if you can, Genesis and Resurrection are great tracks but I feel the tracklisting could've been put together to make the album more hard hitting. Everything else is great. [my:Se]raphy is a great introduction to Genesis (could've been an album intro, tbh. Reminds me of Glass Casket's Phenomenon). The instrumental execution is top-notch. Production is also good. Nothing really to complain about - just a rather bland release. 6/10
  20. Uhm. They already have a greatest hits. No need for more.
