SuG, BugLug, Moi dix Moi all come and go from my library. Not enough variation or interesting things going on with them to keep my attention.

Theres been some really good things lately in the indie horror gaming scene. Haunted Memories is a very polished, slenderman survival horror (Its looks beautiful). imscared is another amazing indie game that many of my friends couldnt even get through, so we had to watch a LetsPlay xD Both are definitely worth a look at.

Hey MH, I used to hang around her a lot almost a year back. Since I just bought a new laptop I should be expected to be around more often, so just wanted to re-introduce myself

I know some of you were dissapointed by this release due to the lack of new tracks, but for a first listener, I imagine it would be an amazing album. Which is why I looked at this as if it were the first time, a lot of "good songs" on an album make it a good album in my books. Anyway here's the track by track: 1.) 人間失格 - Great intro, reminds me of what I wanted from Toxic's intro (aka more synths) Not much else to say. 2.) Magaru Suiren, Kakeru - Always been a song that I can't get enough of, and that hasn't changed. Love the insane range of his vocals, and the upbeat synths in the background. 3.) テオナナカトル - I came to like this one over time, due to the lack of a real chorus. In the end I think thats what I ended up liking about it, it seems like suzaku experimenting around with how crazy they can be, which is nice. 4.) Kosare Koi - A lot of people have valid reasons for disliking this song, especially since it was used in their first PV. It may not, initially, be up to snuff with their previous singles, but its actually kinda grown on me. The chorus is catchy enough, and the acoustic bits are a nice change, and set a good mood with the song. Not bad at all. 5.) Ouka Ranbu - Another one of their amazing singles, really catchy and has a nice flow to it. This is around when they went with an even more traditional sound. Yet they still remind me of MTH a little, mixed with Kiryu. One of my favorites for sure. 6.) 大義 - A ballad of sorts, and as such, pretty badass for a band that is so far removed from slow, soft songs. This feels like a hint of the band evolving in a sense, into what im not sure, but I like it. 7.) 伍 - This one..sooo good, as soon as the chorus hit, maybe even a little before, I was hooked. Its so energetic, intense, yet easy to follow. This is what made Magaru Suiren so catchy, and they can clearly continue to make songs as good as that. Makes me hopeful for future releases. 8.) Myourankunoid -class C- Another one of my favorites, easy to follow, very accessible for new listeners, nuff said. 9.) 舌禍粧 - The closest to a metal song we've got from them, and as such its pretty impressive. The vocals in the chorus are slightly under the rest of the instrumentation in a way that makes it amazing. 10.)『』曰わく、 - I always liked this one since it first came out, there's almost no screaming/growling because it doesn't need it. Its just plain catchy. All in all, id give this an 7.5/10, great job for a first release.

Not usually a fan but this looks pretty interesting, especially because it includes lives with Hizaki and Satsuki

I only meant id rather look at nonsensical or fantasy ish lyrics than..flo rida specifically, or whatever terrible chart toppers are around. Im impartial to rap as a whole, but I like a few. Anyway, I think everyone should have access to all the content their favorite artist releases, landlocking music, or requiring you to learn the language is dumb.
-
I mean sure lots of VK bands have nonsensical fantasy lyrics, but its not always terrible, and its sure as hell better than..whats popular in america..what is it now..something about blowing flo rida..yeah, if he withheld that, id be much happier with aristocratic japanese vampire stories xD EDIT: VK Anne Rice > Modern rap

My beef wasn't so much that I found lyrics necessary, just that I didnt like the idea of not having access to it. People who really like a certain band like to know everything, I knew most of the lyrics to my favorite English bands in high school, it just sucks to have that option taken away, and the artists themselves don't really gain anything from withholding it.

Ill post a track by track review when I have time, just wanted to share what I thought(overall) of this release; As well has hear what you guys thought about it. Overall I liked the variation of styles throughout, it retained the same overall feel but had many deviations that I found to be interesting. It has a bit of a return to the white alice style that has been less prominent in the last albums. I probably prefer Kyomou Densen to most of the tracks from this, but the title track really caught my attention. It has the same clear and smooth vocals, but a nice urban ish feel to it. Has a whole I found it enjoyable, but I can see why it would have mixed reactions from fans, its kind of atypical of her music. So overall, id give this a 7/10, what did you guys think?

I really don't understand the intent of this at all, music should be about spreading your message and sound to as many people as possible, its how you stay afloat especially in such a scene. Its not like there's an official way to "buy" translations, unless it was included in a European release. So lots of bands who clearly need the attention/support, but remain exclusive to Japan, would just fall apart(or at the very least, not do as well as they could). I can kind of understand interviews, maybe it should be up to the people doing the interview to release translations, but lyrics makes no sense. Nothing is being taken, the music is being understood, and if they want to make money, it helps if people know what they're listening to. /end rant

excited their last album was great so I hope this doesnt dissapoint

I think this has a lot to do with how many musicians have been actually getting in these awful kinds of situations (ex: Kentz recovering from his almost fatal condition, and returning to music. Bansaku's disappearance) that feels the need to throw himself in that category as well. Basically so everyone can think "wow..he's dedicated, going through all that then going back to music in such a short time" when in all likely hood he could've been sitting eating Cheetos or w.e. this whole time. I mean early one month coughing up blood, and mid/late the same month performing again, backs up these suspicions. I mean why else would he need to grab stock photos other than for attention?

I haven't been able to get into many new good visual bands, I've basically been stuck on stuff from the 90s and a few recent ones. Wondering if you guys could help find anything similar to these: Cali=Gari Guniw tools A(ace) NoGoD Suzaku I know there all very different but they all have a theme and have stayed pretty consistent with it, I've heard Se7en as well but anything like that would be cool . thanks in advance

Raise a flag was pretty bad, but Dou is one my favs..probably cause of how uplifting it is, along the lines of Shounen to chizu. Although I'd love to see Zesshoku played live, and Zouai antithese

I wasn't sure this would be amazing considering it was just remakes, but I still have s few thoughts on it: -La Dix croix - I actually preferd Juka's version more, I love Seth don't get me wrong, but I always rememberd this one for its deep flowing vocals in contrast to the fast pace of the track. Seth just can't achieve I think. -Pageant - Diversity in music has always been a thing I've found Mana to be good at, even from his early days in malice mizer. He's so associated with dark feeling songs that I enjoy when he steps out of line and try's something different he's never been a one trick pony in that sense. Seth's lighter vocal range fits with the song well Aside from those two, I generally liked a lot of the remakes. D+Sect was alright, but I don't find those tracks nearly as memorable as these reworked ones.
