My third week back on the old office-job and I am already going crazy. My colleague is hyperactive and profanities are her words of choice. Please, calm down.

I have seen less than a handful of people on this forum who appreciate Phantasmagoria even the slightest, and that sort of represents today's Visual Kei fan's taste, yes? They wouldn't have an impact on today's scene if this band existed right in this moment, for you can already see that melodious bands don't receive attention (which is exactly what I have been trying to say for the past few posts). And you know that Kisaki writes most of his bands' material, right? The other members only have a slight impact. Visual Kei bands usually have one writer, credits are just given to others to make it appear more divided between members for an audience's eyes.

Not sure if 'Murica is okay with Kenzi diving into shattered glass.

That's what I've said dozens of times before. Metalcore has crawled its way into the scene and it has completely taken over. It's difficult to find bands that support clean vocals, and when you find them, they usually switch to death vocals on their next release because it attracts the scene's current audience. Most bands that don't want to stray from their clean and melodic sound are practically done for.

And I agree with you, @seikun. Where do we hear sounds from active bands like this anymore? We have them on Starwave Records, and we have them on 凛. Ironically, both Kiwamu and Kisaki are artists people don't listen to by default — people couldn't care less whether their music was miraculous or not, their image and notoriousness comes first. And this results in how people are looking for a sound that's right under their noses, but they just refuse to support those two guys.

Their PVs are often gifts that are rewarded to their webshop's customers. It's not unlike how other bands sell their videos; they are either type-based or sold separately at special occasions.

With a recent purchase I made through their official website, I got a free second copy of the Sacred Xanadu PV. I'm looking to semi- give it away (the taker would only have to pay for shipping costs) to someone who legitimately cares about this band. First to respond can have it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVa39R5ekAU

^ sounds like killer lynch.

My poor heart. Why should they go out with this bang? They have finally found their sound with this lineup, so why go? Why not simply release this monster and be certain of proper promotion so they can get those sales going? This is incredible, this PV looks absolutely incredible, I love this so much.

Why does everyone sell their old consoles after a new-gen purchase? I could never part with my XBOX 360 or even the first XBOX.

The random look is already growing on me. Especially San looks incredible.

And even more cringeworthy vocals from our beloved Tsuzuku.

Every day is 80's day.

So, free for all tonight?

Please correct "The Passing Of The Grey Companh" to "The Passing Of The Grey Company". It should become illegal to be unable to correct tracks on Spotify.

That breakdown is sexy.

Obviously only caring for 凛 on this release.

トキノキト - MONSTER What do you think of the summer so far?

That's a questionable look. Let's hope it doesn't exactly represent the sound on their next single. Either way, I am anticipating this.

I have finally found flip-flops that aren't made of plastic or leather. My toes will survive now.

What I think of Visual Kei in its current state? Fairly little, as most people are aware of how my cognizant thoughts form on these ongoing circumstances. Of course I am acquainted with the realization of how music scenes go through transformations and adjustments, but this never necessarily means that someone has to approve of it. It is true, I am fond of a number of newer acts, but I have made peace with how none of those will ever grow on me, and how slim their periods of existence are, and how quickly I forget they were ever functioning groups after their disappearances. There are but few risen bands in the past five years that last longer than half a decade, and with this they simply do not give their audience the chance to grow attached to them. This scene is unstable and a borderline helter-skelter of irresoluteness and indecisiveness. Musicians come together just because they are available and currently not in any project, therefore most members have no relationship with each other, other than being co-workers. Oftentimes there is no chemistry that pulls these musicians together, they are opposite poles and there is no magnetism that would really form a bond of musicianship, thus resulting in quick moves of disbandments and break-ups (hence the reason 'musical differences', for most splits). I am no longer awaiting a revolution in this scene. Bands become younger, and legends grow older which causes them to be overlooked, or no longer listened to. It is disheartening to not see big names like Kamijo, Kaya (thus Femme Fatale), Kisaki (thus 凛 -the end of corruption world-), D, 摩天楼オペラ, cali≠gari, DIR EN GREY, Moi Dix Mois, Creature Creature and DEAD END, D'ERLANGER, KA.F.KA, Sugizo and LUNA SEA, Yoshiki and X JAPAN, BUCK-TICK or even GACKT in this thread. People only mention new names and forget about the foundations of this scene, foundations who are still very much active and alive, deep-rooted and fundamental sources who have given birth to this baby in the first place. With this rise of this newly founded interest in metalcore that —in my very honest and personal opinion— has no place in Visual Kei, I can assume for myself that in a year or two, I am done with Visual Kei. My favourites who still remain active to this day will have vanished as they are simply pushed out of existence because their form and sound are no longer welcomed and essential, and I'll merely be left with memories.

They should have ended it at the second season's finale.
