Kick Ass 2, I'm in love with Hit-girl again. Even though I'm 18, it's more acceptable now that she's 16 than when she was 11. I'm currently watching Pitch Perfect cause of Anna Kendrick

Skip to 0:59 to avoid hearing the weird guy talking about the PV, I gotta say this "Fuck everything before, this is the Girugamesh I want to root for" Nii adding some Djent in there was excellent~ https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=536478419739673&set=vb.121523861195422&type=2&theater

Mizuki always does some "magnificent, I'm glorious" pose hahaha. Tsurugi doesn't remind me of YOHIO, he reminds me of Cazqui from NOCTURNAL BLOODLUST

Reita only composed the intro to Miseinen? Lame haha. That's one of their great songs, I thought he composed it entirely. Respect for Aoi for being the composer of Shiroki Yuuutsu, Hanakotoba, AN UNBEARABLE FACT, and D.L.N. Naturally, the ones that i'm more attracted to were Uruha-composed: VOICELESS FEAR, DIM SCENE, Baretta, HESITATING MEANS DEATH, and Kyomu no Owari Hakozume no Mokoshi. As for Ruki, it's safe to assume he composes all the title tracks: VORTEX, RED, REGRET, SHIVER, the whole BEFORE I DECAY single, but props to him for Nausea and Shudder, Naraku, and CALM ENVY

Hahahaha I can't believe you just said that. SuG has been declining with their music since the start of 2011, and picking it up just a little bit towards the end of 2012. However, the fact that you think that none of them are skillful is downright appalling. They all have a great set of skills, they just aren't using them properly. Takeru uses them to make SuG a japanese boy band with the occasional instruments not being drowned out by the sound effects added into the songs. All of them have a great set of skills, especially Masato for using 7-strings even though he's in a band that has no use for an extra bass string. While I hate Shinpei for replacing Mitsuru, even he has the occasional good drum line. I just wish they had never strayed from their original motto, "Heavy Positive Rock." Their singles, like Scheat and Alterna, were absolutely awesome but they just became super tame after that and then became the epitome of what it means to be a "regular vkei band." I'm not interested in Takeru's new solo project because I feel like it's going to be exactly the same as Aoi from Ayabie's solo project.

Exactly my thoughts. To a band, it's about making the music that their fans will love. To a label company, it's about keeping the bands that earn the high sales records and can continue with a stable amount of sales, herding out the ones that don't

There was no source given, a friend of mine just told me this info over twitter
  8. Augie1995

COMPOSERS: FADELESS: Ruki QUIET: Uruha FORBIDDEN BEAVER: Aoi So hang on, they purposely made the songs seem bland? Not heavy enough for the heavy people and not "melodiousness" enough for the melodious people? Those tricky bastards! hahah
  9. Augie1995

Why is this on the review section?
  10. Augie1995

Indeed they were, but that's also because the atmosphere and emotions of the song that were being portrayed were dark, it's the same as with Nakigahara. So a lower tuning fit better than the half-step down tuning for WITHOUT A TRACE and the Drop C for Chizuru and Guren. However, QUIET is not a dark song, nor is it heavy with the lyrics or anything like that, there's really no need for the Drop B tuning with QUIET. I don't know what makes you think that Ruki is making all the moves for the band. Yes, he composes most of the songs but that's the same reason that Saga composes most of Alice Nine songs and Leda composes most of DELUHI, but yeah, I do think that Ruki needs to relinquish some control to Aoi and Uruha. Aoi composed Yoin and bathroom I believe and those songs just never stray from being good

I don't know how correct I'm reading this but Ruki posted on his twitter that their OHP will be changing and that they are going to be announcing something new on there. I'm guessing it's more info on their live final. Yokohama Arena, again.

The singles released for this album didn't really do it justice IMO. Machine was good but Divergency was rather bland for them to me, especially with that rather random attempt at dubstep towards the final section. The rest of the album truly is BOO worthy! I have a feeling you'll enjoy Vengeance and Illusionist off of their new album

Being the leader of the band doesn't mean you have the ultimate control in the music direction and the style, it usually means that you are in charge of all the main tasks, scheduling, making sure the lives are set, maintaining the setlist for lives. I didn't know that Mitsuru was still around for the dancers, I thought the dancers started after Mujouken Kofukuron was released
  14. Augie1995

No, I know that nobody here classified it as a genre, it just confuses me and bothers me that it is considered a genre. It's almost like classifying "Djent" as a genre even though it's the term used for the sound a guitar makes when palm muting close to the bridge. I get it now though, thanks for that explanation, even though bands that are experimental don't end up doing much good.
  15. Augie1995

It's not that it's bad, it's more varied than the past sex/live songs that they have made, but I am getting tired of songs like that and i don't want it about as much as I wanted to hear Akercock with the donald duck screams and [worms]. They definitely should never have been created.
  16. Augie1995

I wasn't expecting much to come out of it since this is basically being released the same way RTU was released and even that single, the b-sides that weren't that good and the title track took me a few months to warm up to. FADELESS is good though, it is the better of the singles that they have put out post-Tokyo Dome. I love the fact that The GazettE seem to have gone back to their analog stage and away from the digital (by that I mean, away from the electronics and back to the core instruments). FADELESS is a good song, but the female vocals, for once, are off-putting. The song is still pretty good regardless. The riffs are very nice, although I feel they need to start tuning up (They made QUIET on drop B guitar tuning? seriously, on a ballad?). At last Uruha and Aoi are their own entities again, Reita is a bit more noticeable, and Kai's drumming is still pretty good. The guitar solo really threw me off because how it came in out of nowhere but it was an interesting thing and I love it, and at least Ruki was able to play around with the melody of the pre-chorus to make things interesting. QUIET... PLEDGE without the interesting bits? Far too long? For a ballad, I think that's the perfect length. The intro wasn't as spectacular as any of the ballads they have put out recently like VOICELESS FEAR, Kago no Sanagi, or Kagefumi, but this song was a lot better than 2/3 of those. I judged this song based on the title mostly because the last time Ruki had vocal problems, VOICELESS FEAR was born. Now we have QUIET. The lyrics paint a story of what seems like someone going through a death, a loss, but I feel like behind it is the root of the problems he had early this year. The guitar solo is very early as compared to other songs and maybe the tempo isn't as fast which makes it "boring" but, honestly, it's a ballad, what'd you expect? Tempo of 140bpm, sprinting guitars? FORBIDDEN BEAVER, I don't even want this song. BEAVER is to The GazettE as Akercock and [worms] is to MEJIBRAY, it's a live song that I don't want to hear on my iPod nor live. It kind of sounds a bit like VERMIN + MY DEVIL ON THE BED, except VERMIN actually had some appeal to it. For promoting the album, this isn't doing what I want, nevertheless, I still follow them and I will be replaying FADELESS and QUIET. And also, the ALBUM is what's going to have the STACKED RUBBISH similarity and not this single, so I am looking forward to hearing that. If it does end up having a STACKED feel to it, I hope they make another album with a lot of DIM nostalgia (although, hopefully, they release a few singles before that).

I'm pretty sure Takeru is the reason SuG music went downhill. He just started bringing in his own fashion design and his dance guys. It all began when Mitsuru left though. Either way, SuG was starting to go uphill now with fat inside horror and Fukanzen. I'm more excited to hear something new about SuG than Takeru and a solo project
  18. Augie1995

There goes the term 'experimental' Seriously, can someone explain to me what the hell is experimental? The fact that there is a genre specific for "experimental" music is absolutely ridiculous. That's just being creative, which is what defines music, creativity. Anyways, both the previews do sound like that might be the standard for JUPITER's sound but Heaven's Atlas sounds better at least.
  19. Augie1995

That has to be the better of the title tracks that they have put out this decade. Love it all, the female vocals are a tad too loud but they aren't too prominent to bother me. Very nicely done with that guitar solo!! Guitar goes up and the vocals go down in notes. The final section of the solo does remind me of either an ACE guitar solo or a Nightmare solo. Either way, awesome!! Glad I don't have to wait long to hear this
  20. So I gave it a go playing a Crossfaith song, tell me what you think, any tips. Also, I know the sound is a bit off, that's mostly because right now I'm using strings with a lower string gauge
  21. Augie1995

So my second least favorite member of SuG is going solo, great. Is the band still together? I saw a new band picture so I figured they were
  22. Augie1995

Alice Nine- BLUE FLAME (Blue being my favorite color and the flames look really awesome) GALEYD- Destiny (Out of all the 3 singles, this one was my fav cover art, really cool image) Daizystripper- HUMALOID (there's a lot of craziness going on in this image, randomness to be more like it but it's appealing to my eyes) Kra- Joker Kingdom (Very simplistic drawing, really love it and the creature that has been drawn with the mountain on it) UVERworld- THE ONE (both versions are awesome, flame UVER logo, and Takuya holding a flame) D- Namonaki mori no yumegatari (love the opposites with the deer, cool artistic scenery) UNiTE- Yakusoku (lot of randomness and empty space but it's still very cool) D- Torikago Goten -L'Oiseau bleu- (Looks like a tarot card and it has a very cool carnival font look)
  23. Augie1995

Daizystripper, stop! I am falling for you guys hard. It's been 3 years of an adventure with you guys since the dual album release and you guys just can't make a single release that does not disappoint. Absolutely beautiful this is. Can't wait to get a preview of Derringer, that sounds like it might be a bit on the hard side. We've had a piano melody song, dark ballad, jazzy tune, and now a ballad (love?)

Born Of Osiris's new album, Tomorrow We Die Alive, was leaked in case you want to hear it. Definitely better than their previous work, The Discovery, which was an amazing album http://www58.zippyshare.com/v/15492601/file.html
