These are from right on top of my head, all of these are old farty VK bands: Sister's No Future - Dynamite Tommy from time to time played guitar, especially during the early era stuff. I'm pretty sure Kenzi sang on some songs and played drums, but I can't remember for sure as I try not to listen to SNF if I can. Color - The band was known for the members switching what instrument they played during some songs. Decameron - When the band had only four members, Naoki often played guitar. Ladies Room - Hyaku sometimes played guitar live if the song called for it. Tokyo Yankees - This is a post-VK era one, but after Ume died, Yoshinuma (the bassist after Ami left) took over the singing parts. BY-SEX/Zigzo - Before BY-SEX became Zigzo, Ryo did all of the singing while playing guitar. After they became Zigzo, Tetsu plays guitar as well as sing.

I really don't use any kind of streaming sites anymore. I'm more into physical copies in my not-so-old age. But back when I used to stream, which was like eight years ago, I used mostly Youtube. I still use Youtube when I want to buy something, but can't find a download of the album/single. I don't use my Last.fm account for the past year, especially since it doesn't like syncing with my eight year old iPod nano lately. For those who want to stalk me, here's my ancient account.

I remember The Killing Red Addiction were planning on releasing either an EP or an album (I can't remember which), but then Taiji kicked the bucket.

I present you the cover of BY-SEX's Ago EP. It was drawn and photoshopped by Den himself. The album covers Den made for test-No. are just as bad, but I this one I can't even laugh at. We all should be happy that Den isn't in charge of making the covers for the new Zigzo releases.

I usually don't include magazines with my posts because I get both SHOXX and Cure every month, but I just got my copies today.

For the upcoming season the only series I see that I will probably watch will be Active Raid, but I'm not even too sure about that. I'm still waiting for Jinraiger and Macross Delta to be properly announce for which part of next year they're going to be airing. With the current season, which there's isn't much more time left, I'm watching: Comet Lucifer Dance with Devils Diabolik Lovers: More, Blood Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Starmyu I'm also currently doing my yearly re-watching of Genesis Climber Mospeada, Blue Comet SPT Layzner, and Rose of Versailles. I do have Heavy Object, Concrete Revolutio, K: Return of Kings, and the current season of Fafner on my to watch list. I'll probaby watch them during next season as there is like nothing I want to watch that's going to be starting up. Since there's is like no series that I'm interested starting up next season, I'm going try to make myself watch every Sunrise TV anime series that Tomino Yoshiyuki directed. Minus La Seine no Hoshi as I can't find a subbed version of the show. The only bad thing about this is that I just finished Xabungle, plus I haven't ever finished Dunbine and L-Gaim. However, it's a good excuse to re-watch Ideon for the 20th time.

I'm only 26, but I've been going L.A. Guns shows since 2002 (Tracii was still in the band, but it was right before he left them to join Brides of Destruction). L.A. Guns play where near where I live a lot, and after meeting them after their shows so many times, you just sort of become friends. Phil is a super nice guy and very friendly person, even if he doesn't know you. I have met Tracii a lot, too, but he has a bit of an ego compare to a lot of guys from the glam metal scene that I'm friends with or have met. The only glam metal artists I have met that were "worst" than Tracii were Vince Neil and Bret Micheals, but not for the same reason I didn't care for Tracii. Regarding Sebastian Bach, he is such a good looking guy after all of these years. I am really disappointed with how his voice has gotten a little worn out over the last several years, but it still a lot better than some people like Don Dokken's. I would adore a Skid Row reunion, but since Bach is a huge jerk (to put it politely) from when I have met him and what I have heard from Sabo and Bolan about Bach, I don't think a reunion will ever happened or at least anytime soon.

Skid Row, L.A. Guns, and Hanoi Rocks are some of my top favorites, too. Rip and Tear is where I remember getting a crush on Phil and Kelly Nickels. I'm actually friends with Phil, so when I met him for the first time, I had to tell him that I had a huge crush on him when I was little. When I went drinking with Phil a couple months back after a show, he had to tease me about my crush on him.

Even though I was born towards the later period of 1980s, I remember these music videos or songs because my dad had tapes of recorded music videos off of MTV and used them to babysit me. As most of the videos were glam metal bands, it kind of "help" me over come the crazy fashion of late 1990s VK bands. This song probably one of the earliest exposure I had to anything "J-rock". I didn't know O'Hashi Takashi (aka Jail O'Hashi of Seikima II) was Japanese and thought he was either Native American or Hawaiian. This could have been any Cinderella video, but this is the one I clearly remember getting a huge crush on Tom Keifer and Eric Brittingham. This is hands down where I got my "older man" complex. My best friend's mom was a groupie for this band back in the day and named my best friend after them. I often joked with her when we were younger which guy was her biological dad. She still gets mad when I tease her about it. When I was younger, if it wasn't KISS's Revenge album getting played all of time by my dad, it was EZO's Fire Fire. Again, I didn't know they were Japanese and thought they were Native Americans when I was young. I also had a massive crush on Yamada Masaki and was determined to marry him. I crushed hard on Masaki until I got into X Japan and was researching related bands and found out how he looks now. I was super shocked to say the least. Like I said earlier, KISS' Revenge was played a lot when it was first release as my father was a HUGE KISS fan. Even so many years of not hearing any songs by them, I can still sing most of the lyrics correctly with no problem. I got sent home early from school with a note for bringing in inappropriate music after taking the Revenge album to school for "bring your own music" day in my music class.

I don't know if this is close to anything you looking for, but I would suggest AURA and A-CHIEF if you haven't tried them out. AURA A-CHIEF

Right now, I only have four; two being glam metal CDs (original CD pressings of RATT's Out of the Cellar and Skid Row's debut album), Jacks 'n' Joker's major debut CD, and a Dir en Grey CD. I used have first pressing copies of Color's Gekitotsu!!, BY-SEXUAL's Cool, and Ladies Room's Rhythm Crush 2 still factory sealed until I decided I wanted to see what was in the booklets.

For nostalgic reasoning, I would have to go with Extasy Records. That's because a lot of the VK artists I was first introduced to back in 1999 were from that label (Gargoyle, Ladies Room, GLAY, Tokyo Yankees, X Japan, Zi:Kill). Now days, I would have to say Free-Will Records up until the label name change. I love all of the early roster bands (Color, Kamaitachi, Decameron, ect) and I have a soft-spot for bands from the late '90s/early 2000s as they were also some of my first VK bands I fell hard for (La'Mule, Dir en Grey, Baroque).

Damn. I feel like I live under a rock in a cave that no one has visited in 100 years as I don't know a few of those artists. Jetboy - Losin' Streak Demolition - C-Spires Slaughter and the Dogs - Since You Went Away Decameron - 限りなき挑戦 Cobra - Save You Lazy - Guitar Man Color - Oh Yeah (Remind Version) Dio - Stand Up and Shout The Drums - Forever And Ever Amen Galneryus - Beyond of the Ground I'm really surprised what I ended up as some of the artists aren't ones that I listen to all of the time. This was a hard pick because I love the songs by Jetboy and The Drums that were shuffled, but I had to go with Cobra as I have been on a major listening spree to that crazy Osaka punk band.

I actually believe VK is becoming interesting again. It has certainly piqued my interest in the genre, which is a first since 2005. I doubt visual kei is dieing in any shape or form. For every ten bands that only last a year, there will always be that one band that will be around for a long time to keep the scene alive. As visual kei has already survived 30 years of high and lows, I can't see why it won't be around for another 30 years.

For me it would be: Laughin' Nose D'erlanger Die in Cries Kuroyume SADS Luna Sea (I'll explain this one in a minute) any VK band that became huge/popular after 2005 (excluding An Cafe, Mejibray, and Lycaon) The "any VK band that became huge/popular after 2005" thing is because I had a Kpop phase for like three years. After that I had a 77 Punk phase that turned into an 1980's Japanese punk and 1970's Japanese rock phase. Then that turned into a Japanese glam metal and glam rock phase, and which became an early VK phase. Now I'm slowly trying to get back into the more modern VK stuff. I never listen to Luna Sea because back in 1999, I became a huge Morning Musume fan because of "Love Machine". My "oshi" at the time was Ishiguro Aya. I was PO'd when graduated from Momusu because she didn't want to break up with Luna Sea's Shinya. My little 10 year old brain had decided that Luna Sea was 'the evilest thing ever'. Now days, it makes me laugh to think how stupid I was as a kid. However, I never really tried listening to Luna Sea as an adult.

I've updated my collection, look down further on the page to see what it looks like now.

Most of this stuff was posted in the Pimp with Your Collection thread yesterday, except the magazine clippings of By-Sexual, Kamaitachi, and Genkaku Allergy. Each of the folders of magazine clippings have 100+ pages in them.

My collection is nothing too thrilling to look at. It's mostly ancient VK and a few Japanese glam metal bands. I'll post my magazines, photobooks, and other merch at another time. Everything is still boxed up from when I moved a couple of years ago. VHS/DVD Vinyl Cassette/"Tall" Single CD CD
