Nevermind, I found a new replacement! Nakamura Asumiko, one of my favorite manga artists.
Also, I'm glad that I'm posting here because then I actually clean up my desktop a bit, haha.

It's not an anime, but in the KISS XXXX manga the protagonist is the lead singer of a Visual Kei band. The PV of Penicillin with the same name is inspired on this manga and also Plastic Tree's Ryutaro said this manga influenced him~

Your Sho Asakawa hairstyle is cute!!
Also I think I might recognize that 2nd picture....from LJ or something.....an old LJ friend??  I don't know, maybe I'm just imagining, haha.

Anyway, for me I've had my hair similar to Ryutaro's ever since my teenage years, haha.  I feel like it expresses me as a person better and it just sticks.  Been leaning towards a hairstyle similar to Yusuke's from The Novembers though.  But I'm not very good at managing long hair...
I'm also inspired by the casual clothes jrockers often wear....or I guess I can kind of say Ryutaro again for this as well, haha.  He was my role model back in the day. : 3

Thank you so much haha !
Just try to set goals, don't go too fast. Just try american pop bands with very basic bass lines, though effective. Once you know the pleasure of hearing your bass sticking to the rest of a song you can never let go ! Then try to move on with Japanese bands if you will, you gotta love their bass lines haha. Good luck !

I did a Sho Asakawa ~inspired~ hairstyle for a while last year.

I also had a neon pink hair that was just inspired by visual style in general, no one specific.
(This picture is super old so sorry it's small lol)

I haven't done a straightforward cosplay of a specific vk guy in a while, but I do wear the style in general, so I'm definitely inspired by stuff like this:

Who lied to you and told you college was all fun?
College is going to be some of the most rewarding times in your life. You'll have plenty of fun moments but there is a lot of work, stress, and pressure involved. Don't forget that you went there (and are presumably spending a ton of money) primarily to learn. If there wasn't a ton of work involved, you wouldn't encounter the experiences that would mold you into a more well-rounded person, which is the entire point of going to college. If you feel like you're sinking and unprepared, you're doing it right.

Oh wow, that's still really impressive though!!  I'm trying to learn bass myself, and actually, I bought my first bass about 6 years ago, but I stopped and gave up pretty fast.  Fortunately, I've been picking it up again recently, but who knows how long before I'll give up again, haha. It's really hard D :  Or maybe I don't have enough passion for it..

But anyway, glad that you're not giving up fast like me!  I'm quite inspired by your dedication~ : ]

I support Jigsaw's recommendations. That's the first three films that popped into my mind when reading your post as well. And David Lynch of course. I think there's something a bit David Lynch-esuqe about Jackob's Ladder.

Ah, Thank you so much !
Actually, I did. I used to play guitar on my own but it was very meh. Story is, I just harassed my parents for a bass, but them not being musicians were like "it's a useless instrument and you'll give up like you gave up guitar", that lasted for like 2 years until I just fucked it up and bought a bass on my own anyway lol. They wouldn't want to pay classes so I just grabbed tabs and made my way until now. I miss a lot of technique though, hope I can catch up with classes sometime.
I'm working on a few Kiryu, ViViD, Luna Sea, Versailles, D and MEJIBRAY songs I said in my last post. Thanks for the feedback and encouragement !

^ If you liked Jacob's Ladder, I totally recommend Angel Heart, even though it's more of a mixture of horror and mystical thriller kinda. Just don't read a lot about it in advance, cuz you might spoil it for yourself. xD

Also, Carnival of Souls and The Jacket resemble Jacob's Ladder in a way, but more in the main 'thing', not the atmosphere that much (tho the former one comes close, and is still great).

I'd say the 2nd one is almost as good as the first, and the 5th (Inferno) and 6th (Hellseeker) movies are very decent too. I don't really get all the hate towards them. It's been a while since I last saw them, but I remember them as being hella dark and creepy. Granted, they don't really feature Pinhead or other cenobites that much (I think the scripts of one or both of these flicks were originally written as completed unrelated to Hellraiser?), but they capture the inner torment that's at the heart of the Hellraiser universe in a strong way.

    UGLY PV DESCRIPTION LOOKS EPIC!!
Ending credits: after the encore, we expected a second encore, and instead of that we could see the projection of the next single’s PV, named “UGLY”. The music was catchy, with strong sounds and headbanging, but also melodic parts with Ruki’s soothing voice. The really shocking part was the video - tons of blood, religious symbols, dead hookers, Ruki’s red gloves - very strong images, tons of symbols, I think it’s going to be a big hit. I still can’t decide if the clip was shocking as Dir en grey’s Obscure, or a little bit over the edge of disgusting. The members looked fine in it, with the 80-100 fans who were participating in the video. (They sit and headbang around a small round stage, showing only their backs, wearing black T-shirts, while the band is playing in the centre.)
Tour haul: a lot, but most of them are for friends. A mirror, a towel, and a bear key chain for myself. And yes, of cause, Aoi’s pick. First concert catch ever! After 33 years and many dozen of concerts, Aoi took my pick virginity. I’m really glad it was him after all… ^-^
