  1. As a small Valentine's treat I decided to translate this LOVE SONG by Crazy★shampoo~ I first found the kanji lyrics from a youtube video and didn't realize until after I translated it that there was already a translation posted on jpopasia, oh wellz.......This is my interpretation. Lyrics: Yoshiatsu Music: Crazy★shampoo Kanji/romaji: jpopasia English: I will sing the song of love. The world seen from this wing[1] is much too ugly I searched for the truth, in this building wet in the rain This dark room, full of lies, here and now Will my song reach you? With just one or two, we fell apart This dark room, full of lies, this voice Ahh, will no longer reach you But I will sing the song of love. Your tears have still not stained this place yet... So don't be afraid Now matter how cold the night is I will be by your side ----------------- Notes: [1] Wing (of a building), not wings of feathers.

i didn't want to believe it when my bro told me, but persona 5 has been delayed yet again to april. GOOD NEWS tho: they'll be adding dual audio! so it'll be the first persona game where you can choose to play with either english or japanese voices.

I was with a group of people at some building that looked like a hospital, except there were no nurses or doctors walking around. Could've been just a normal building, or maybe it was abandoned. We were in a well-lit room but then decided to head somewhere else in the area, I'm not sure where, and the outside hallways were rather dark. One guy looked suspicious, kinda dark shaggy hair, and something seemed off so I went back to the well-lit room where half of the other people stayed. But as I was heading back, something was going on just outside of the room. This part is kind of vague but some possessed human being was trying to kill this woman, and somehow I got this gun from somewhere and shot the thing twice until it was down. Another tall and thin possessed old lady, that was holding a kitchen knife, came towards me from out of nowhere, but I couldn't shoot because I was already out of bullets so the woman I saved earlier grabbed the old lady's arms in trying to stop her. She managed to flip the kitchen knife pointing towards the old lady and stabbed her once. But it had no effect and the old lady continued approaching me. Then the suspicious looking guy from earlier, who was probably also possessed, appeared. The old lady decided to kill him off though as she spotted him. With her attention now back on me I grabbed the kitchen knife and stabbed her in the throat twice. Despite stabbing all the way through to her back side, there was no blood splatter and it was like stabbing through a piece of pie with a thick and crispy crust, in which the fillings were her insides. That was as close of a gory experience as I got and it made me feel sick in the stomach. The old lady was still unaffected, however, and she came closer to me with the knife now back in her hands pointing towards me (idk why i didn't keep the knife). I was cornered with no options left so I grabbed hold of the blade with my bare hands, but strangely enough it felt very dull and didn't cut my hands at all. I then pushed her away and started running. Somehow some of my siblings were actually there too and we all ran to the entrance of the building. To get to the entrance we had to go through the kitchen and somebody grabbed salt to create a barrier, like they do in Supernatural. I don't know what happened to it, or if it worked, because the possessed old lady was still chasing right behind me. For some reason she wanted to kill only me, and no one else. So while I was trying to get rid of that thing, the people who got to the entrance were trying to get the door open, which for some unknown reason took forever. Somehow I knew that the touch of water would make the old lady shrink to dust so I sprayed water at it and took what was left of her into a sealed bag. I left the bag in the kitchen sink and quickly ran to the entrance afterwards where everybody else was still trying to get the entrance door to open. Unfortunately, the old lady managed to regenerate and came out of the kitchen doorway staggering towards us. Her face and limbs were deformed from the regeneration process and she looked like that of a zombie. I ran back to the kitchen to spray more water at her, but everything instantly went black and I woke up back at home. We had made it back alive somehow. I looked around the room and found my sisters sound asleep, but I noticed that one of them had their long black hair flying above them like they were possessed. I hoped to god that they didn't get her. Then I woke up, for real. I almost thought everything was real lol. Might've been my first time having a dream within a dream.

^i started reading that manga because.....i am scum myself lol, and i was happy to hear that it was getting an anime adaptation! it's definitely not your typical romance anime/manga as it focuses heavily on the dark and painful side of an unrequited love, which also feels more realistic in that aspect. the artwork is also pretty good and matches well with the manga style, although i was actually surprised to see that they added manga-like panels in the animation. i'm caught up with the manga so i wonder how much they'll fit into those 11, or 12? episodes, according to MAL it says there will be 12. it's looking good so far~ i've seen little of the game, but i'm quite excited for Ao Oni The Animation: didn't expect them to use cgi animation, but considering that the game is made from rpg maker it's a good upgrade and i'm fine with it. i think they wanted to keep those cheap looking aesthetics by using this kind of animation style. (i know for sure that other people are gonna complain tho)

you're welcome! and no, i'm not familiar with haikai. but to be compared with that kind of poetic form (which i'm guessing was practiced by scholars) really describes his skill of lyrical writing. it's always interesting to see how other people interpret his lyrics so thanks for sharing~ ^^

I'm still catching up on Sion Sono's films but that cover looks pretty cool~ I recently watched Strange Circus and that was some really fucked up shit, but like GOOD. Kinda gives me the same dark and twisted vibes as Suicide Club, except way more grotesque and disturbing. Some that I watched since my last post: Waiting in the Dark - I was unsure about this one because the trailer made it look like some typical romance drama, but it wasn't at all. Decided to watch it because I saw a screencap from tumblr that kinda piqued my interest. The film is categorized as mystery and romance, but I find the romance tag very misleading as there weren't even hints of a romantic relationship and the mystery aspect was much stronger overall. Probably not a film for those who are looking for real romance, but good for those who might like a realistic mystery film. Ritual (Shiki-jitsu) - This movie is my soul and it quickly became one of my top favorites. It's so self-destructive, yet beautiful at the same time. It may be a dark film, but there's a few heartwarming moments that lessens the overall dark themes. The cinematography and ost is splendid as well. Hana and Alice - Just a cute and uplifting film between the friendship of two high school girls. It didn't resonate with me well, but it's good for what it is. Cure - Very good and cleverly written psychological horror. As I have a simple mind it was hard to digest at first, but the more I think about it the more I am struck by its portrayal of human's nature and fears. Also has a great atmosphere. Su-ki-da - I think it's obvious from reading the title that this is a romantic film. I actually almost fell asleep while watching it, haha. It's not a bad film per se, but it's just that there is no background music at all. Everything is very quiet. I guess they wanted to take an extreme realistic approach with this one. A ton of long and still scenes, with few dialogue. It was rather hard to sit through, even for me who enjoys these kinds of films.
  23. Took me long enough to start translating their lyrics. Ryo's lyrics are quite well known for being cryptic, or better yet, maybe even senseless. If you've seen some of the English (or even attempted reading/translating his lyrics) you're probably wondering what the heck this dude is talking about, as I have. Some lyrics have more clarity, but some make almost no sense at all. Years ago I even once asked someone to translate Gariron for me and all I got back was how fucking stoned they were while writing the song looool. So please excuse some of my translations if they sound bad or weird. they were originally bad Well, despite saying all that, there is a beauty in some of Ryo's lyrical writing, so I hope fans of them will still enjoy these translations! ^^ I will update this post until I'm done translating all of them. [2004.09.01] sug life All lyrics written by Ryo. Tracks 1, 3, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 composed by Kei. Tracks 2, 4, 6, composed by Akira.
