i still don't know a whole lot of ucp bands, but ClearVeil was my favorite right off the bat. in fact, they were one of my top fave vk bands back then and i still love them a hell lot. saki was an amazing vocalist, and even tho his screams are kinda strange sometimes, he can really put his soul into it when he does it well. when i listened to 'crime' again a while back i was like damn...... ;__; i liked the majority of their songs and they had some great guitar riffs. i think nozomi still has his skills down, but just wasn't in the right band after ClearVeil disbanded, which was the brighter oshare kei band carat. i always thought his guitar playing worked better with a darker sound and saki's vocals (they were previously in the same band clorican as well). he's in ORCALADE now tho so i'm looking forward to hearing more of that heavy guitar playing again. my other favorite was the short-lived Zodia. they only put out six songs but damn they're all so good. they're known for sounding like D'espairsray, but darker with their own flavor. listened to a bit of Himitsu Kessha Codomo A back then too. they had a fun sound with a tinge of melancholy. i loved eiji's deep and emotional vocals. i think i'll take this time to check out the others i missed. some i couldn't get into back then, but i'll give them another shot......sometimes you just gotta find the right song.

song will probably be a grower for me, but god they look stunning

I'm finally playing Resident Evil!!!!! (the first one on a Gamecube emulator) I don't know how long ago it was but I tried playing the original PS1 version and gave up instantly lol. Then I never got to playing the remake version because I didn't have the console for it. Little did I know how easy it was to run a Gamecube emulator so that I could play it. Wish I had done it sooner! Anyway, I'm playing in normal mode and man, it's still so hard..... Dx Feeling tempted to restart in easy mode, but hrmmm I think I'll take up the challenge and see how far I can go. Also, anybody else here have a backloggery account? I don't know what people use to keep track of games they play/own but I like to use The Backloggery. It's quite simple to use and I recently updated my profile theme cuz photobucket messed everything up. Here's my account.

^don't know what that is but looks pretty dope. i think i'll check it out. it kinda reminds me of god eater or freedom wars.

@qotka pssst, you can change the settings to show 8 artists if you click the little gear at the top corner ^^

i use it mainly for the stats too. it's fun to see what i've been listening to in the past and how my music tastes have changed over the years. but i also spend a lot of time browsing the similar artists section to find new music as well. lastf.m allowed me to discover so many different kinds of music/artists that it's hard for me to let it go. also, when i discover a new artist elsewhere (like youtube or mh) i sometimes immediately go to their artist page to see which of my friends listen to them already, or see how much popularity they have and figure out which album of theirs i should listen to first, if they're listed.

not as much vk because i made a new account when i grew out of vk for a while (plus, most of my scrobbles were mistagged...)

feeling sore from work ughhhh, i wish it was the weekend already........just one more day. my hands feel numb and i feel like i can't grip anything. i mean, i still can but i'd really rather not. i think i gained some muscles at least, so that's a good thing cuz i'm a weak ass.

For a request!! ^^ Lyrics: Chiaki Music: Chiaki Kanji source: rocklyric Kanji: 「君の子宮を触る」 Romaji: "Kimi no shikyuu o sawaru" English: "I'll Touch Your Uterus" Enjoy~! For such a strange song title, the lyrics are surprisingly more soft core than usual.

can never really get into them because of aki's vocals. not to mention, his screams have no soul i can't stand them..... but that album art tho.

Started playing Gravity Rush on the PS Vita. I've owned the game for years but never played it until now, idk why (well, I also bought P4 Golden at the same time so I was busy playing that first). Anyway, Gravity Rush has one of the coolest gameplays ever and it's fun to try and master all the tricks with the gravity controls. I lose my sense of direction pretty often though since I'm just flying in all directions most of the time lol. I had trouble controlling the gravity slide too, but am getting the hang of it now. Just gotta make sure that I hold the handheld straight up or otherwiseI can't make good turns. There are also some really cool environments with lots of tall buildings for you to stand on, either to view the whole city or to roam all about.

i agree that his voice sounds different. it sounds rather forced and i'm not too fond of it.....i prefer his deeper and fuller voice.

Stuff I watched since my last post. Pastoral: To Die in the Country (1974): Believe it or not this the first film I've seen from Shuji Terayama. Yeah....shame on me. But I really enjoyed it. His strange and dream-like visual is part of the allure, but I like the poetic writing in it too. I feel like his films need multiple viewings to really appreciate all the art put into it though. There's just so much that can be analyzed from each scene. It was still a good first watch nevertheless and I hope to watch more of his films. Don't Look Back (1999): This I randomly decided to watch. It's a mediocre coming of age film among two young boys, finding their first love and experiencing changes in their friendship. The film mainly gives you a glimpse of the daily life of the two 10 year olds and is not the kind of film for something more complex and engaging. There are many heartwarming moments between the playfulness and foolishness of the still innocent children and it can be an enjoyable watch for the lighthearted. However, I think the film could have been more developed if it was 15-30 minutes longer. Marebito (2004): This film left me a really dark feeling after watching it. I was very impressed by the dreary, haunting atmosphere and it felt like I was swept into it, never being able to get back out. It really played with my mind and the idea that these strange creatures and an underworld could exist has been etched in me. Neat film. Ichi the Killer (2001): So I finally watched this film. It's one of the few that I never watched during my angsty teenage years because I was too intimidated by the gore at the time lol. And man, it was quite the roller coaster. I thought it was just gonna be all about the gore, but there's some interesting back story in it too.

they were okay i'll be looking forward to their future projects~

i got into deadman a little late, just around the time i started getting back into vk 2 years ago. i was going through my destructive college years and i thought about the pv for this day. this rain. a lot because it expressed so well what i was going through.....it was also winter at the time. i was able to find comfort through their music in that way so they're really special to me.

other than the low production quality they sound pretty decent i'm glad that more lower voiced vocalists with some singing talent are popping up
