Anyone here into Audio Active? They are one of my favourite japanese dub-influenced bands; stoned and slow atmosphere, heavy dubs, space-y feeling and of course, weed everywhere. 'Spaced Dolls' and 'Return Of The Red I' are my favourite albums.

I was a big fan of edIT when he released his first solo album, titled 'Crying Over Pros For No Reason', and I got into the whole glitch-hop scene through him. Their mix 'Crush Mode' is really great and the album has some nice moments too - like 'Between Two Points' (I guess I like it so much because it reminds me of edIT's first solo album), or 'Drive Like You Stole It', but it lacks something that would make me say that it is _awesome_, so a solid release, but I expected a bit more from it. "We Can Make The World" stop was a bit better imho, sad, that their gig is on the same day as Roska's, so I won't see them. D:

Teebs; Jeremiah Jae @ A38, Budapest.
Next concert seems to be Khuda's gig on the 13th of October; it's gonna be great!

Not really familiar with the members, but 'Sunburn' is one of my favourite Muse songs, it would be intresting to hear the band's cover.

Not surprising actually, seeing their current schedule etc... ART-SCHOOL already lost their real style with the loss of Sakurai Yuuichi 2.5 years ago... It's a shame, but it was a thrill ride with ART-SCHOOL as long as it lasted... It never topped the 2002/2003 yearsSeconding this. Also, considering that every member had at least one side project, I thought that it won't be long before they disband.

>Being pretsy>saying it sucks to be me
I seriously hope you guys are not doing this
lmao A+
I already said to Pretsy and Wonrei to keep their personal issues out of this topic, and I don't see any reasons to bump up their argument just for this post. Get over it, and get back to the topic or next time I will simply hand out warnings.

Pretsy, Wonrei, keep the personal issues out of this topic, thanks.

Also, according to a hungarian article, Kátai Tamás plays every instrumental part on the album, and Bakos Attila (from Woodland Choir, Taranis), and Tóth Ágnes (from The Moon And The Nightspirit) and Simkó-Várnagy Mihály (who is the (solo)cellist of the Dohány Ernő Symphonic Orchestra) appears on the album as guest musicians/vocalists.

I will surely order it, glad that they are back as a band!
Intrested how many new songs will be on the new album!
-
The band will release it's first mini-album on fifth of October, titled "RESIDENTS IN DESERT". Yo can already listen to some samples at their MySpace.
The tracklist is the following:
01. Distraction
02.
03. SSS
04. Beckon
05. HEAVEN'S BEAT
06. the dead of youth
They also have a CM out and a new band photo.
Also, if you purchase the CD at Tower Records (in Shibuya or Shinjuku), you will get a bonus DVD containing video clips and a bonus CD-R with more new songs and remixes.

I think the second one. At least, there is an article about them on natalie, and it seems (according to Google Translator), that the singer said, that 'it will be a collection of video works'.
