eh, VK have always been in and out thing. Most people i know, and myself included, have been going through the phase where we tried to find some other alternative cos we totally bored with VK music. It is not something one can listen too for over and over. Especially with the direction that ever so stagnant. Every other VK bands literally have similar sounds, similar looks. And just few acts that really stand out cos they were being original. All others just pretty much fillers to the scene and come and goes like revolving door. Sorry to say but it's true. But in general music will never die. It always goes in circles.

    pop idoru is arways prombrematikku!
  5. Well Astrud music is typical Bossa Nova standards. Loungy, cozy, a little bit retro, atmospheric, it is nice. And always have me the mood of drinking my favourite Vanilla Latte in venti size on Happy Hour after work in one Starbucks cafe as i looked out the window. Looking at passer by or just simply let my mind flies. Heavenly. Sorry, but it's true, they playing alot of Bossa Nova music in their stores. So i really love it, Starbucks + Bossa Nova = Perfection. Anyway, the album is good. I really enjoyed it. Her vocal is nice, dreamy, sultry. Nice. And not really too hard to get into, maybe because i am not new with Bossa Nova or maybe it is just the simplicity of the album. I would wish the duration could get a little longer though xD CONCLUSIONS: Is she representative for the particular genre, yes. She's called the queen of bossa for reasons. I will not say much about The Prodigy, since i am the one who reccomended it. They're just great. And that album is 1 of 2 favourites by them The other one being The Fat Of The Land. When they were really good and the peak of their musical creativity to my taste. If not because this album, they might still be die trying now.And there may not be The Fat Of The Land. And hope many of you guys enjoying it too

There is an interesting quotes from Ozzy Osbournes about singles, that i have read once and now quoted from a book entitled Ozzy Talking: Ozzy Osbourne In His Own Words by Harry Shaw, copyrighted in 2002 The quotes goes like this: "For me, listening to "She Loves You" (by The Beatles) is the key of everything. For people my age (teenager) that coming from my place (Aston, Birmingham) and my social class (his Parents was labors and growing up with no previlege), not an album that changed your life, but a single! Because that is the only thing you can afford. "She Loves You" is the first ever record that i bought. I was only 13 years old who were strolling down Witton Road in Aston. That changes everything." Maybe this can at least answer how the Western concept works. That i am sure the same reason why Japan applying singles method to their music business too. Singles is more directed for low to middle class people the most, besides to preview new songs. Because to some countries or families, an Album CD is still considered as luxury. They can use $12 or $15 for deluxe edition for something else. For people that came from this family, $15 is not small money. Seriously, you can get some bread with that or 3 Venti size cup of frappucinnos for example.

hope the new single will be much better than 2 singles in this era after long hiatus. Maybe they just get a little rusty as a band after all those years being solo. 2 previous singles just don't deliver for me. And i hope this one will, or else i'll start to get worried.

well from this topic, there is no secret that muku is not popular anymore within this community. There is many more shopping service that you can din from the same topic, too. Maybe this topic should be best merged into one, also. Since it is of the same themed.
  13. Speaking about indie movie, have anyone watch The Perfect House by Chris Raab yet? Starring Dustin Stevens, Fellisa Rose, Jonathan Tiersten, John Philbin, Holly Green. It looks like a good fun gory horror movie from the trailer. About (serial?) killer and the cellar of a house. Cellar have always been frightening place when i was kid, maybe this movie could bring back the tension into me lol Since it is indie, it is only have limited release, one must demand it to their local theatres. A la first and second Paranomal Activity marketing systems/tactics.

No worries, i am sure you're not the only one. I am in the same boat with you. I don't think the past can be forgotten entirely. There is always things that makes us remember of our former partner. Either it's the road we walked in, music that used to be our song, Restaurant for the first date, first movie we both watch together, and the list goes on. Even the things that makes us pissed at them. In the end those makes us never really erase them from our minds. So yeah, forgiven but never forgotten.

I chose the Western systems. All i say is this, Singles is used for promotion tool because it usually sold at cheaper price. And with that many people will afford Singles than albums. Sometimes there is only good singles and crap album, so people can only choose to purchase the singles CD or mp3, still can listen to their favourite song without paying too much for unwanted filler tracks. And that goes along with the Western systems, that after the album released they can still promote the album to those who afford one by making another singles from the album but also helping/makes people who are on budget still able to catch up with their favourite artists by getting the Singles CDs/mp3. Which the VK systems (most of the time) does not supporting. This two cents is for regular single, not maxi.
