Survive Style 5+ is one of my favorite Japanese movies. Great comedy with Tadanobu Asano, Sonny Chiba (small role) and even Vinny Jones.

-The Great Wall: sincerely wasn't convinced at all by this one, but it resulted to be a quite good fantasy movie, with some great sequences and awesome costumes (especially the Chinese army). ---> 8/10
-Resident Evil - The Final Chapter: I has never been a great fan of the saga (I mean movies), apart from the creepy first one, but Milla Jovovic's interpretation was surely the reason that I saw the other movies, including this one; in general it was decent, it was needed only for giving a sense to the whole plot and it didn't bother me at all. ---> 7/10

Why isn't it a horror film? The few I know who've seen it calls it a horror film, and they have the same knowledge of the genre as myself. And wherever I look on the internet it's referred to as a horror film.

Watched Arrival recently and I loved it. The plot was great, and the hidden message in it was so beautiful that it made me cry lol. I really recommend it!

After beating Shovel Knight & the Plague of Shadows DLC, I moved on to Unmechanical, a cute little puzzle game where you play as a tiny helicopter robot inside some weird semi-organic semi-mechanical underground base. It's pretty stylish. The puzzles aren't TOO hard, but they can stump you very briefly. Very minimalistic control scheme too
 
Also been playing Crypt of the Necrodancer off and on, and holy shit, it's ADDICTIVE... it's a roguelike dungeon crawler x rhythm game that lets you import music from your own collection as well (which is a nice bonus, although the original soundtrack is great as well imo)

Man the Netflix MCU is so good, I can't believe they are actually doing series like Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage... this one looks to be the best yet. I can't wait to see what they'll be able to do with Iron Fist and the Punisher next.

their reactions are identical to visual kei, this wasn't intended to convert anyone into the fandom but as a topic of discussion--which tbh we need some more exposure of. yeah its cringey, i know but if you expected them to correctly cover visual kei then you're an utter blockhead. also its cool that they drew parallels with alt-metal, considering a good chunk of vk is still influenced by that stuff. they also made the video more than just "Wow Gender Bending" or "Japanese People R So Craycray", and i think it'll tune a good chunk of people onto vk. check the comments for risley circus, there's a whole bunch of people who know jack shit about vk but liked the visuals and want to explore more.
any foreign exposure is good publicity for visual kei bands, especially insanity injection and dadaroma. don't yall remember the whole "omfg have u seen obscure" kind of shit that introduced a whole generation of kids to j-rock in general? its not 2007-2009 anymore but i will still cross my fingers for some resurgence in interest that said my fingers will be crossed for a while cuz rip vk

This is from way earlier this year, but I'm hella bored in traffic and remembered this lol

I felt a sudden urge to play strategy games so I bought Total War: Shogun 2, I tried playing it last night at 3AM and thought it was confusing, tried again today and I ended up playing for 8 hours... This is too addicting.

There's a Japanese movie called  Summer Time Machine Blues. You could try that.
 
Also Safety Not Guaranteed. I don't remember if they actually travel in time in that movie but they're building a time machine or something?

Safety Not Guaranteed is awesome, highly recommend it! <3 (even tho it's a lot different than the movies mentioned above)
 
Other cool films not listed yet, either featuring time travel or time/space paradoxes:
- Coherence (thriller/mystery film with some bizarre ideas)
- Time Lapse (a 'future camera' machine turns the lives of a group of friends upside down)
- Donnie Darko (pretty weird; see the director's cut for more coherent/unambiguous viewing)
- Triangle (the discovery of a ghost ship leads to some weird shit in this horror flick)
- Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure / Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey (cuz we all need some dumb '80s cheese now and then xD)

I love this subject, and a lot of the good film's already mentioned. Coherence and Time Lapse are both excellent, and sadly a bit overlooked. Highly recommended!

Los Cronocrímenes (sci-fi thriller/horror)
Time Bandits (classic fantasy film you never hear anyone talk about anymore. Fantastic film!)
The Time Machine (1960) (sci-fi-adventure. Another classic that seems to be forgotten. Masterpiece!)
Time After Time (sci-fi adventure, a forgotten semi-classic that should be huge. Brilliant!)
Midnight in Paris (Woody Allen's romantic comedy is his seminal work IMO, but it's somewhat forgotten. Praised when it came, but no-one seems to care anymore. I don't get it, brilliant!)
La Jetée (drama, short film. Classic!)
Triangle (sci-fi mystery)
Returner (Sci-fi action)
 
Now films like Time Bandits, The Time Machine, Midnight in Paris and to some degree Time After Time are films a lot of people have seen and all, but I still feel like they, despite they're status, is somewhat forgotten. Neither have gotten the praise they deserve in newer time. I think it's really weird.

Is Primer actually good?

Primer was the biggest mindfuck I've ever seen, understood like, nothing.
 
Predestination is also complicated as hell, but at least it's fun and has some interesting themes.
 
Can't go wrong with Looper and Source Code, they are the best of the bunch.

I'd also recommend checking out the films Planet of the Apes, Beneath the Planet of the Apes, Escape from the Planet of the Apes, Conquest of the Planet of the Apes and Battle for the Planet of the Apes, as well as the 1973 TV-series Planet of the Apes and the animated series Return to the Planet of the Apes. Lots of time travel stuff and shit. Great films, great series.
