ok guys I need your help! I am wanting to invest in a decent pair of headphones for home use. I am a complete noob to this kind of stuff and I am not even sure if I will be able to hear the difference they make since I have some hearing damagethanks for my stupidity with a firecracker >_<. So that being said, I would prefer not to spend a whole lot of money. I might be able to bring myself to spend $300 but that is the absolute max that I am wanting to spend at this point. So, like I said they would be for home use and I was thinking about open-back and I would prefer something that would cover my ears. I listen to all sorts of music but rock music is what I mainly listen to with Uroboros and Dum Spiro Spero probably being the two most listened to albums. I was reading through some of the headfi guide that Zess posted and a couple of headphones on there caught my eye: Grado SR-80i- even though they are on ear instead of over like I was looking for, the guide was saying that they are good heads for beginner audiophiles, so that is why they caught my eye. Sennheiser HD 558/598- I don't remember why these caught my eye but I think it was decent review and within my price range. Any suggestions from you guys? either from these two or anything else that think would be a nice fit for what I am looking for?

Dir en grey for me! I have enjoyed all of their albums and they where the first band that really got me interested in the whole Japanese music scene. While I do like a lot of Gazette's stuff, I didn't really like Toxic at all and haven't brought myself to listen to the new one yet >_

I was wondering the same thing! I wouldn't be completely opposed to that if that managed to pull of something interesting I am not a huge fan of instrumental music but there are a few pieces that are pretty awesome!

well it isn't really a j-rock question but I figured I would just go ahead and ask it here anyways.... What exactly is the difference between 320 kbps and lossless? I thought that 320 was cd quality....how could you go any higher in quality? why is a lossless cd 500mb or more??? :0

If it is perfectly natural for humans to be homosexual then why is it that homosexuals have such a hard time being accepted by non homosexuals ( not just the religious ones but also the non religious ones) Why is it that the human body isn't well equipped to handle homosexual intercourse? and why is it that humans are getting compared to other mammals? We are very different from other animals. how many other animals can do and have done what humans have? and it may be normal for some animal species to have homosexual behavior but there are also many that don't. So I don't really get the comparison.

Wow I am kind of afraid to even try to ad to this topic since I am christian and I follow Personally I really don't have any issues with the act of homosexuality. One of my best friends through high school ended up telling us she was gay in my senior year and it was a little bit of a shock at first but I was always supportive of her and so were my other christian friends. Now I do believe that homosexuality is wrong in Christianity (and many other religions too and many non religious people also feel so) but on the other side of that for me to judge somebody for being gay and saying that they are going to hell is also wrong, since I am not God and I can't determine a persons fate. I have to admit though that I really don't agree with the people that say you are born gay. I believe it is a choice that you make. I know probably everybody here will disagree with me on that but hey I just don't think it is natural to be so. I believe there is a reason that God made a man and a woman, there is a reason why women have the babies and that women have a vagina that the penis can easily fit into and that it isn't so easy for a penis to go into a butt and not to mention the higher chance for diseases. But if that is a choice somebody wants to make and they are happy with it then good for them and they shouldn't be hated against or not allowed to marry and have a family,etc

uhg I don't know which version of the album to buy >< The deluxe version from omega order or the 2cd,dvd,lp version from cdjapan....I don't mind spending that kind of money on dir en grey...I just remember sometime after uroboros was released the super deluxe version of that went on sale for like half off a couple of times...>< oh what to do what to do....
